A lot of pop tunes these days are filled with loads of cacophonic clutter — a surfeit of sounds and noises thrown in to keep the listener's fickle attention, it seems to me. But when you strip these songs down to their bare acoustic bones, it can bring out a certain integrity that the original covered up with its garish aural drag.
