Most religions talk of a coming messenger who will correct or fix different issues. The problem is there are 50 prophets all saying they are the prophets (and there were many who competed with Jesus). To say that it was referring to Muhammad is farfetched. Like saying the Old Testament predicted Jesus, even though it only refers to a coming prophet, who included many other than Jesus.
