I heard that I must know the meanings of the surahs for them to be accepted, I do read the english transtation but after i forget.

@forgive2live allah accepts all prayers just remember the meanings, u dnt have to remember word by word but it is better, just go to the last to prayers of the day every single day and ull memorize them, trust me it worked for me 1 was born muslim but just recently submitted to prayer for allah swt.

@forgive2live As far as i know its not a must for you to understand the quran in order for you to read it, Allah knows our condition many of the ummah are non arabic speaking so how can our deeds of reading quran not be accepted, the prophet(pbuh) said we will be rewarded for every letter of the qur'an we read and he said i do not mean Alif laam meem is one word rather Alif is one word Laam is one and Meem is one letter.
