Does anyone else find it a little ironic that both seasons since Eli took second to an opera singer, an opera singer has taken second to a male musician? It's like America realized the mistake it made two years ago and is trying to make up for it...even if Kevin Skinner and Michael Grimm aren't nearly as talented as Eli. America fail.

The mistake they made was not picking nutting but strings as the winner who were by far the most diverse and most entertaining act on the show. If I wanted to watch singers constantly, I watch american idol. Eli probably would have been kicked early in american idol.

Indeed, not picking Nuttin' But Strings was another egregious error that season. They were both talented and entertaining, and a nice change from the constant slew of singers. Eli was my favorite that year, sure, but I couldn't argue that NBS would have been deserving winners! I'm peeved that an act who later won was barely mediocre comparatively. If America likes watching people sing Garth Brooks songs in a dull monotone, then sign me up, I could use a hefty cash prize!

I love this kid. I think a lot of crap comes out of the judges mouths, but I actually like what Sharon said. He didn't come out with all the glitz and glamour or all the bells and whistles with dancers back tracks and all that. Its just the piano and its player. He's such a young talented kid with a lot of wisdom at a young age. Elton John's  voice and style is Elton John's turf. Copy cats don't get anywhere, except in karaoke venues.
