In the last few couple of transfer windows, we have spent just over £25m on Nasri and Arshavin, and both have done well in their first season.
£30m-ish on Berbatov, a nearly-past-it Bulgarian, and the whole Tevez thing (Do YOU know who actually owns him? Because Man Utd have to pay another £30m to keep him.).
This shows we buy better players, with more potential, and without having to spend £30m. Surely there must be some buys you regret?

Berbatov is 4-5 years older than Tevez, and Tevez is better because he puts in far more effort than Berbatov. Anderson and Nani were good buys, but only for £5-10million, Utd paid over the top. Hargreaves is also pointless as he's always injured. Arshavin has done more than those three put together in his ten or so games at Arsenal.

arsenal dont need to spend too much tbh...they have shown again and again..and again that they play better football than a lot of teams. The fact that they have beaten man utd 3 times, 1 draw, 1 loss and gone to the champions league final shows that at a direct comparison with other top clubs, the gunners r definitely up there. But, in a league there 38 matches, something our young,but talented, team has a hard time dealing with unlike man utd who have more depth allowing ez rotation of players
