  • All that work for possibly nothing. Atleast you got paid!

  • I love you man!

  • Who's mercedes is that? the fish business must pay well 8-P

  • Hi Jim, how's the scrubber working out on your personal tank?

  • hey S, its got a big job to do, but its working well at it. there will be an episode on it soon.

  • Hey Jim, First off love your videos, they are all very helpful. My question to you is, why are you so keen to wet/dry sumps? Is this mainly due to you do a lot of fish only tanks?

  • hey P, most of what I do is fish-only systems and the w/d trickle is the best choice. its a very effective biological filter and significantly aerates the water.

  • Would love to see some "in" tank shots to spice things up. I would recommend a GoPro Hero2 Camera (on a stick) for some unique shots!

  • My fishes are watching over my shoulder, I swear they are smiling! Cheers!

  • another great vid Jim. thank you

  • hey jim quick question does api test kits go bad after a while because a couple days ago i had no nitrates and now i have 20 and another test kit says 0

  • hey B, i would not expect the reagents to go bad within days of tests. do the test over again, possibly it was done wrong, or was a dirty vial. its also possble that the accuracy of a 10 dollar test kit is not always the most reliable, and keep in mind that test kit tests for TOTAL NITRATE, which is 4.4 times greater that kits that test for NITROGEN NITRATE.

  • @ben11vick api kits are rubbish tbh.

  • Do you know of anyway to remove scratches from glass?

  • hey Q, I believe you polish glass in a similar manner, only you use a different polish. it would be better if you asked a glass person or a glass shop as I have never polished glass.

  • Those guys cleaning the tank should really have some sort of speed controllable foot peddle on the power tool they are using!!!

  • Hey Jim dó you still have the tank ? And if so whats the Price ?

  • hey R, i do still have the tank, but it is not for sale....at least the customer has not indicated he wants to sell it, he just has not picked it up yet.

  • @lafishguy

So you said all this work was done out of your expense and now he doesn't want you to reinstall it or pay for your services and he gets the tank back? do you think he was lying so he could get his tank fixed up for free.

  • hey B, you may have misunderstood, I have recieved payment for my work polishing and repairing the tank, he will mostlikey NOT set the tank up. I suspect he has passed the point with his new office where he could convieniently incorporate it into.

  • hey Jim, would it be possible to "flame polish" shallow abrasions or dull places in an acrylic tank, or is there too much danger of cracking"?

  • hey R, unless you know what you are doing I would not attempt flame polishing an existing tank.

  • Just wanted to say thanks Jim, and also let your friend Cande and his assistant know they seem to do GREAT work and i wish all 3 of you good luck in 2012.

  • hey Jim, did he at least pay you for the work you did to the tank? Or are you keeping it? You'd think he'd opt for the free brand new tank. Happy new year. Great job

  • hey J, the customer has paid me in-full for polishing the tank. it is still sitting here in my garage and I doubt if he will be setting it up. I just hope I dont nik it before he picks it up.

  • Glass tanks are awesome ;)

  • HI JIM

LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR ALL THE VIDS OVER THE FEW YEARS

AND WISH YOU A HAPPY NEW YEAR

  • Lol I think its the first time I seen you with a shirt on lol nice good workn like allways

  • Hows it going Jim....What type of buffing compound does Kondi use and where can I buy some at? Thanks....

  • hey D, I use SeaChem Marine Buffer. i am not sure what Cande uses, why not give him a call? 213-247-7600

  • @lafishguy I believe Davmrls refereed to the Acrylic Buffing Compound he used with the buffer wheel, not a pH Buffer.

  • hey D, oh 'buffing' compound, as in the polish? i dont know. it would be best to contact him directly.

  • great video jim

  • Keep moving forward.... that's the best tip one could get in this hobby.

  • man that tank looks really sharp and clean !! looks like new

  • @11:39 is that correct? lol he's always saying that...

  • Hope you get something good out of that tank.like maybe a service from some other person that would like this tank.keep moving forward.love the vids
