  • lol at the mats. good job dude, I love the daarce.

  • ghetto mat hehe. masking tape is the shizz

  • Right on brah, Diggin the aloha shorts lol but maw good job brah.

  • @LEE187AA Thanks brah. I stay Mililani waaaay back. Guess my heart neva left so I rock da kine when I roll, lol!

  • I know it's not an Anaconda but Ryan Hall, Rafael Lovato Jr., and Cobrinha have all been playing with finishing the Darce/Brabo choke from the full mount, especially if the opponent tries to scramble to their back. It's sort of the opposite of the Jeff Glover style Darce finish where they drive up to their knees and you fall to your back/side and hip in to finish. I like how did the same thing here, but with the Anaconda. You should check Rafa Mendes for some badass Anaconda setups.

  • @WhtMike2006 Thanks for the info man! I haven't been rolling this year due to an injury but funny you mention it, I was just looking at the Brandon Quick Fade to Black series the other day about darce set ups. Let me know if the darce from mount works for you.

  • @praetorian371 The Darce from the mount works great! it's not on that DVD though. it's a fairly new concept, and I've seen Ryan Hall do it a few times, I've seen Cobrinha do it, and I've also seen Rafael Lovato Jr. do it. When guys posture up, everyone knows you can fal to your back/side and do the Glover finish. If they go to the back, the full mount finish is VERY tight, and they get a nasty neck crank if they fight it. Remember to use your head a a post if you try it.

  • Awesome. I have been playing with finishing the Darce and also the Anaconda from the full mount lately with some cool results. Nice to see it done in competition.

  • looked good

  • thats was sick. good job im a beginner in bjj,and that is my fave submission,im gunna try learn that.

  • You can't slam in jiujitsu either, I know somebody at TigerBalm BC 2010 got DQ'd for a slam.

  • @ichujini depends on the rules for the specific competition.

  • it is allowed to do judo like throws in this kind of competitions?

  • @mashitn1 Yes. I was just starting out then so I didn't really know how to properly throw. Pretty much everything but striking and small joint manipulation (fingers and toes) is allowed.

  • nice man i started BJJ last week and learned this yesterday. Sunk that in very well,

  • Another Rokkie mistake At 20: through 23. If he was any better he coulda used that arm for a lotta things:P

  • nice anaconda choke.u sinked it in perfect

  • I love how he got into that side control...that was it from there. But the other guy gave up his back way too quick without thinking.

  • must you do that 3/4 full rotation to get this choke in? i was tought get that sprawling positon, lock in the arms, then only drop to my side, could someone tell me if the spinning gives the choke more tighter rather than jus dropping to your side?

  • Not at all! Yes you can sprawl out and lock it in. I just prefer the roll because it is very disorienting to the opponent and it's hard to counter the choke when they are spinning.

  • not to mention the cool look of it. makes it one of those "flashy" chokes lol. this is deffinitely my favorite all-time choke.

  • @praetorian371 You forgot to mention that the inertia from the spin tightens up the choke which increases the effectiveness.

  • Nice fight. Total domination.

  • nice, do you just enter these competions or do you do mma aswell?

  • Not yet. To be honest, I know a lot of people want to jump to mma, but I love rolling. If I get bored with bjj, then I might start mma, but the job I have is pretty time consuming. I did a pancrase style fight at Ft. Hood. Check my other vids and thanks for the support!

  • No problem, would you reccomend bjj because i haven't ventured into grappling or ground fighting as yet so i don't have a preffered ground style.

  • Of course! Remeber that BJJ is my discipline so of course my view is biased, but I feel that it is the most complete ground fighting art and I think most will agree. Wether you want to roll or go mma, it's a great starting point. One little opinion to add, find a school that trains both gi and no gi. Training in the gi is more technical and you will be surprised how much it will improve your no-gi/mma game. If you can tap them in a gi, you'll crush them without it!

  • Thanks for the advice, I'll keep it in mind when looking for a gym. Keep up the good work.

  • not bad kid

  • nice fight man

  • good job verry well done

  • no gi bjj= submission wrestling (=

  • Is that really Georgia chrome on the mat? Nice, mat tape is way too expensive.

  • good job my friend..i want to buy a rushguard from the internet in a good price but i havent got an idea where to look and which rush guard is good..help....

  • Let me try again. I use shirts like underarmour or nike dryfit for practice. They're cheap and can be found in most sports stores.....

  • beautiful choke

    very fast

  • what sport is that?

  • no gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

  • nice man

  • beautiful transition... with that said

he shoulda arm barred you about 10 different times from his guard

  • Ha ha. You ain't lyin! I had a nasty habbit of leaving an arm in when I passed guard. Luckily I broke that habbit for the mostpart because I kept getting caught in armbars. Good thing neither of us knew that much when this was shot!

  • well nice work regardless... keep it up!

  • is that you on the video?

  • Yup. I'm in the black with flower print shorts.

  • see the comments my friend

  • My laptop is acting funny. I tried responding several times to your comment. If this one works, I'll try again.

  • Nice!

  • great job

  • very nicely executed.

    tons of respect...good shit.

  • tight good stuff

  • In full guard, with all the winners arms down there was many submission possibilities.

The guy in white could have Kimura, Gogoplata, Omoplata and so on with the guy in black's arm fully extended on the ground.

  • Nice m8 that was very smooth anaconda choke. Am going for my first grappling competition soon for beginners ^^ am so excited and training like hell for it. Some tip you or any other can give me i? am gladly if someone can

  • that looked like complete domination. good job on the choke, that guy never really had a chance.

  • Very slick transition.

  • White's guard needs a lot of work...

Nice job on the anaconda, btw it's also a nice move to use when you have a closed guard, also referred to as the arm triangle choke.

  • Nice job and quick thinking
