Hey Helen, I have a problem. I thing my goddess is Bast, from the Egyptian Pantheon, But i am a strong Catholic. Would Bast perhaps be the Egyptian version of, say, an Angel?

@Helenhealer Well, I possess many of the qualities she has, such as being very protective of my household, I have a very strong connection to cats, and I have always felt a special connection to the light. She was the champion of Ra, the Egyptians would ask her to protect their households, and she was the cat Goddess. i was actually reading a book that had her in it and i decided to research her. thank you for replying!

Last night I watched a video on scrying using stones, randomly picked up a stone, and tried it out. I saw the face of an elder man with long hair and a long beard. I went to PaganNews and looked through the "Gods", and searched for Gods that resembled that. There were quite a few, but Merlin looked almost exactly like what I saw while scrying. Then I learned that you should go to Merlin if you're just beginning the path, which I am. :D I was really proud of that XD

Gr8 vid. as always! I had a dream a couple days ago that ended with a woman in a dark gray blue dress ooking down @ me w/ a displeased look a mother would give & just the day before I did something that I shouldn't have. When I woke up I thought of Hekate. I did some research and found she's associated w/ dogs and snakes both which have meaning in my life. I'm going to do some research on her but she is FAR from the patronss that I thought I'd worship.I never thought I'd worship a dark goddess!

One night, I had a dream that I was practicing archery in the air with a very handsome man of yellow light who was very adamant on teaching me. He was so golden with golden hair and tan skin and very godly like. I woke up immediately and yelled Apollo which was very very strange for me. I had never done anything like that. I looked him up and I saw that not only was he the god of medicine as many people see him but he was also the god of archery. He was so beautiful and so handsome.

This is how my goddess found me! i'm always into moon,and i recently bought a moonstone pandant.one night,i dreamed of a character from US tv series "Charmed" named Phoebe.She came to me in white dress.next morning, the goddes oracle card i draw was Artemis,greek goddess of moon &forest.As i research more, i discovered she also has a nickname -and guess what? it's Phoebe!now i know Artemis is my goddess!

Love this! I agree that your matron and patron deities could change over time. We all change and as we do, so does our spiritual path, as well as the deities we resonate with. Right now, I am attracted to Isis and resonate well with her, but I realize that could change over time. That's not to say that I can't come back to her, it just means that I will discover other deities and their energies. I guess it's all about what you need at the time...if that makes sense. Excellent video!

I've always known that Sekhmet and Bes were my patron deities, but thanks so much for your help, Helen. From the meditation vision I had a few months back, I had discovered that the Moon Goddess was Artemis, and it was a wonderful realization, because in a way I can't quite describe, I've felt a connection to her, and a relation between personalities. Thank you for the explanation, Helen, I have been searching for a god and goddess but no luck so far. Can they really 'show' their presence during meditation? I have heard that it's better to choose a God and a Goddess from the same pantheon but it just didn't sound right for me, I couldn't find both within one pantheon. Also, if I'm right, every god/goddess has its own 'how to call them' thing and what can be asked from them or thank them, now I'm totally confused. But thank you for the vid!

Though I personally disagree on the belief of the Gods being archtypes of one supreme Deity I loved this vieo and thought it was very helpful to those who might be out there searching for their Matron on Patron. This is a subject I plan on doing at some point when I get back to vieo making.
