I've finished that level the other day, and i just finished the favela now. Ididnt quite understand the meaning of this mission. We are an undercover US soldier that kills civilians side to side with the bad guys just to gain their trust or what?!! Thats the thing that shocked me more about it. That Im not the "bad guy", im the "good guy" who does some great shit in order to get intel. Have i completely misunderstood it? (Ok i know its a game, i've played all COD's, give another answer..)

When I played this level, I didn't know such thing would happen.

I couldn't shoot, as I imagined myself at their place, and imagined REAL images of REAL people dying. It is horrible, imagine if they were people of your family, people WITH families, kids, innocents.

Do they deserve this? Im sorry but I would be shocked if I would witness such scene in an airport.

I enjoyed this part of the mission, it's fun as hell, at the same time it's oddly disturbing, because even though it's a game, you can imagine yourself in the same situation and you'd feel, well helpless.
