The Specials covered it, that's what Amy is referring to. Jeff Buckley always said he was covering the John Cale version of Hallelujah, not Leonard Cohen's.
This is a great performance, I love the Later one too (and also Amy's dress, she always wore unique, beautiful dresses).
A true artist can make a song their own, even make you like songs you hate, like Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, I ordinarily dislike that song but really like Amy's version.
A terrible loss.
