o Slavic is the mother of all languages. Unfortunately, Germanic/Anglo historians tend to write in a biased fashion. Look at all the dictionaries out there where the oldest and nearest they want to go is Old French, Old German, or Greek. But why not Slavic which shares a lot in common with ancient Celtic? For example the word Dale. Dale is a valley. In Serbian we say Dolina for valley and then we say dole meaning "down". Yet how many diction. will even mention a Slavic influence
I looked up the word Heath- A dwarf shrub habitat found on mainly infertile acidic soils, characterised by open, low growing woody vegetation, and it is said there isn't a clear difference between heaths and moorland or (Moor). On one of my favirote video games Zelda there was a race of humanoid plant-like beings called Deku Scrubs (Shrubs) and most of them were dwarfs like the definition of Heath. The Deku shrubs are Black & Brown with big lips. Deku Butler has AFRO PUFFS!
another way of saying Zeus in Greek is 'Dias', so it makes sense for the name 'Diaz' to have come from that. ive also heard the Arabic name 'Said' is also derived from 'Dias', just having been written backwards, but its all speculation.
Again by you saying I am using modern english spelling you show you lack of knowledge of language. The consonants never change. Only the vowels. the letters pronounced PHN have always been the same. Why does Oxford Etymological dictionary say the same thing im saying then? You are weak in spirit because you cant admit you may have been mistaken. You can learn new things ya know. lol
Oh by the way that was the oxford definition of Language. I know the difference between language & alphabet. You need maybe to reconsider what you thought of Greek language cause even their language came from Summers(Phoenicia), Canaan & Egypt. Shall we began with proof?
Yes please. So far you have given nothing towards this other than the superficial resemblence between Phoenecian and Phonetic. Give some real hard evidence not more of your fantasy linguistics.
Yo are you blind or stupid man. I posted about ten paragraphs right out the Oxford dictionary. Now i'm starting to think you arent even reading the comments. How can you say I have not shown fact when all I have been doing is posting definitions from the dictionary. i even sent messages to U where I cut & paste.
How clear do I have to be. The reason I cut & paste is so that you know where my sources come from. Now go to the source & read it for yaself. Stop being lazy and waiting for an educational handout. There is but so much I can type on you tube or i'd go more into detail. this is why you lack this knowledge because you refuse to seek it yaself.
ha,ha, how much clearer can I be? We havent changed the subject at all. You need clarification then look it up on ya own terms. Really this is getting old now. You know I am correct but are too proud to shake hands and move on.
sorry that was a typo. I meant to say that I gave you evidence that Phoenicians taught Greeks. I'm human I can make mistakes. See how easy that was to admit I was wrong?
3.the system of linguistic signs or symbols considered in the abstract (opposed to speech ).
4.any set or system of such symbols as used in a more or less uniform fashion by a number of people, who are thus enabled to communicate intelligibly with one another.
5.any system of formalized symbols, signs, sounds, gestures, or the like used or conceived as a means of communicating thought, emotion, etc.: the language of mathematics; sign language.
I'm sorry, most of the words that you claim are derived from ''el'' are from Indo-European languages. The ''el'' in Eldorado is just the Spanish masculine singular definite article.Theo and deus mean similar things but aren't cognates.
actually every word I mentioned does come from the Sumerian phonecian word El. El isnt even Semetic. Its Sumerian. The Hebrew language is a Hybrid of Egyptian & Sumerian language. Because you dont understand something dont be quick to say its un true. just research it some more. Example..Words and language is universally called Phonetics. Why? Because most words can be traced back to a Phonecian (Sumerian) origin that was later passed through travel & tradition find me one linguist who wont agree
I suppose the Phoenicians (not PHONEicians) invented the telephone too. Phone is ultimately from the Greek for sound. Phoenician is also a Semetic language. Find a serious linguist who'll disagree.
EL sord83: See now you're just being an A hole for no reason. No The Phoenecians didnt invent the Phone. However the term Phonetic is relating to words and sound. That which is heard. Phone. The root word is the same. As in phono. The problem you are having is the lack of knowledge of word origins. So yes the word Phone does relate to Phoenicians creating Phonetics (sound, words). Thats why modern man even chose the word Phone. You kids kill me.. lol
I agree that phone and phonetic are related but they come from Greek as I mentioned earlier, not Phoenician which is just a superficial similarity especially when the word Phoenician is spelled incorrectly. And the winner of most absurd statement of the year goes to TheSonsOfLight for ''So yes the word Phone does relate to Phoenicians creating Phonetics (sound, words). You crackpot ''theorists'' with absolutely no knowledge of language kill me..lol.
ELsord83: there is no crackpot theorist here. & stop being a spelling cop. Its called a typo. Also. Greeks language is not Greek in origin all European languages are offshoots of early languages from Sumerian,Indo Kush & Egyptian languages. The reason its called phone is because the word means sound.
No you are hilarious because all you have to do is research what I have written instead of debating. Dont believe a word I say. But dont say I not correct. Just find out for ya self. There is an online oxford etymological dictionary for starters just go to that site & research all I said. You will eat ya words.
The Phoenician alphabetic script of 22 letters was used at Byblos as early as the 15th century B.C. This method of writing, later adopted by the Greeks,
Anyone reading this debate will have to say you are wrong dude. Seriously it can happen I've been wrong about many things before but once someone shows me proof I man up and bow down. Debate the oxford dictionary then not me cause i'm just saying what they and every other book I've read says.
Look it up smart guy. The word Phonetic indeed derives from The Phoenicians( Oh you spelled it wrong too.. Glass house living ass..ha,ha) Check an Oxford Etymological dictionary it will tell you the origin of that word. The Phone is called so because you TALK(words) through it(Sound).
Point 2. Phonetic is from the greek Phonetikos. Nothing to do with Phoenicians I wasn't seriously suggesting the Telephone was invented by the Phoenicians I was just making fun of your taking of superficial similarities as proofs.
EL: Yes Phonetic comes from the Greek Phonetikos. But my question to you is where does the term Phonetikos come from? Get it? The cause not the effect. Also Though you were joking about telephone you were correct its all the same root word. Do you know what a root word is? All these words have the same root word. Phon. Its not by accident. Stop being hard headed and get to studying. Thank me later.
HAve you been reading my posts properly at all? I never once denied that Phonetics and Phonetikos are related ( though I do dispute that they come from the same root as Phoenician, even if this were the case it still wouldn't support your arguements about Greek being derived from Phoenician). In fact I mentioned it to you first. I suggest you start reading a bit more carefully before making more nonsensical comments.
People like you piss me off because you dont debate to learn you debate so you can be right. forget anything I say. Just read the Oxford definition. All those words mean the same thing. Its right in ya face. Stop being stubborn and just admit you were wrong. Damn man up.
EL: So next time b4 you call someone a crack pot theorist do research cause I have my friend. Dont fall into the you tube mentality of shooting people down because they know something you dont. Study then critique. I will help you a paste it right from the Oxford Dictionary if you R 2 lazy to research.
EL: you have done zero research or we wouldnt be having this debate. there i sno superficial similarities. All words are based on history, events, & religious and spiritual philosophy. You deal with effects and not causes. The Greeks didnt create much from thin air most was borrowed. like language. Same with Latin.Same with all languages they all connect.
Absolute rubbish!! Even if it were the case that Greek came from Sumerian as you've mentioned, the languages would have changed so much over time that cognates wouldn't be recognised by a superficial reading of the (again) MODERN ENGLISH SPELLINGS.
whats rubbish? How can you argue with evidence. I have posted definitions from the Oxford etymological dictionary. What have you posted to base your argument? You are talking from emotion. I use fact. So dont say I am wrong say the Oxford dictionary is wrong. Only fools argue with evidence.
EL: I figured I help you since obviously you are toolazy to do the research. This straight out the Oxford Etymological dictionary;
adjective
3.of or pertaining to Phoenicia, its people, or their language.
4.noting or pertaining to the script used for the writing of Phoenician from the 11th century b.c. or earlier and from which were derived the Greek, Roman, and all other Western alphabets.
EL: i am not claiming anything. I learned this because I study etymology. The dictionaries & encyclopedias of etymology says that Greeks were taught by Phoenicians. even Herodotus wrote this. SO yes the word Phonetic and the word Phoenician have the same root word because it came from the Sumerian language. Not my opinion. Documented history my friend.
I'm way ahead of you. b4 I post my evidence. which you have not done yet. Let me say this. Alphabets cannot exist withoit language but language can exist without alphabet. this we agree on. Now about the Greeks. What you fail to understand is their language (concepts) and alphabets were taught to them. even Greek scholars report this.
The alphabet the Greeks used was derived from the Phoenician, this we both agree on. This is the only thing you have given evidence for but unfortunately it is something I've never disputed. Give me evidence that the Phoenicians taught the Greeks their language.
I gave you the evidence that Greeks taught the Phoenicians just read the comments from last night dude. stop being lazy. I shouldnt have to give you anything you should look it up yaself.
No The Phoenicians taught the Greeks. So did the Egyptians and a few other cultures. It is what later became Greek philosophy. language is an expression of philosophy and ideas as well as events.
You could be a whole lot clearer. You said you were done twice before. Third time lucky eh?
True you keep repeating yourself, with cut and pastes of information that doesn't contradict me or your own theories which you haven't given a shred of evidence for.
Bloody hell!! I'd forgotten about you. Again no evidence to support your idiotic idea that the Greek language is derived from Phoenician. You are right in one thing, evidence does beat conjecture. It's just a shame you haven't got any.
Man you are so stubborn its funny. I only posted paragraphs out Oxford dictionaries saying word for word Greek comes from Phoenician. much evidence i've posted. You have not posted one sentence of reference. So with that i'm done. your another you tube clown
No you haven't the closest thing you posted to that was that the Greek alphabet was basedf on the Phoenician. I never disputed this. None of your posts supported your arguement at all. Just for my amusement send me just one post from a credible source which supports your arguement,. You even think Latin comes from Greek, you know nothing about linguistics or history.
This is by the way the fourth time you've said you're done, let's hope you mean it this time.
ELSORD83 instead of cursing and going back and forth you post a vidio or prove LLO525Star wrong .. I dont like generalize, but Greeks are a set of FAGS Man so ease off...
Actually in the Websters College Dictionary 4th Edition. The Definition for the letter A reads The first letter of the Alphabet from the Greek Alpha borrowing from the Phoencians.
If they got the alphabet which are the letters which make words. I mean you write in the language you speak right? think bruh and face the truth. it's been written by Gerald Massey(light of Egypt) and John G Jackson.( Stolen Legacy).
''You write in the language you speak''? The Alphabet was used to represent the sounds and words the Greeks already had, The spoken language came first, then the written one. Just because the Greeks borrowed and adapted the way to represent their OWN sounds/words doesn't mean they borrowed the language.
Here is evidence Phoenicians taught Greeks: St. Clement of Alexandria (c.150-c.215) confirms in "The Stromata" that the origin of the arts and philosophy were from non-Greek cultures such as Phoenician, Carthaginian, Thracian, Egyptian, Etruscan, Persian...etc
I see you're veeering away from your ludicrous claim that the Greek language is derived from Phoenician. I have posted nothing about cultural influences on the Greeks from other peoples. I was talking purely about LANGUAGES. Yet again you have avoided giving evidence for that idiotic claim. The burden of proof is on you.
El: let me further learn you young Jedi. Vowels hold no place in language. The express the sound of the consonant. U R caught up in spelling bcause you dont understand language. PHN(phon-phone) PHNCN (phoenician -phonecian)PHNTCS (phonetics) get it? also what is Semetic? What is a Semetic language? Damn you wet behind the ears.
''Learn me''? I'd rather you teach me, that's if you had anything worth learning. I'm not the one caught up in spelling, your making connectiions between similarities in MODERN ENGLISH spelling. The PH is one sound here, if you were in any way educated you would know that. I f you want to know what a Semetic language is , do some research. Damn you patronising old tossers, Get it?
Okay so I will Teach you then.. this is from the Oxford etymological Dictionary.
adjective
3.of or pertaining to Phoenicia, its people, or their language.
4.noting or pertaining to the script used for the writing of Phoenician from the 11th century b.c. or earlier and from which were derived the Greek, Roman, and all other Western alphabets.
Indo-European is Phoenician. Read the definition for Europa where the word european comes from. In the Webster's college Dictionary 3rd edition it reads: A phoenican Princess who was loved by Zeus.
The word Europe comes from Europa. Yo if the name came from the Phoenicans then obviously the language came from them. I mean yo if you don't want to believe it don't but everyone on this site is giving you written facts Yet you pretnd to not comprehend. This has already been argued by Chiek Ana Diop where he beat European Scholars. John Henry Clarke also won a debate it's on you tube the Greeks got everything from the Khemetic
I'm sorry but that is terrible reasoning. That's like saying Algonquin or Nahuatl come from Italian just because America is named after Amerigo Vespucci. The name Asia comes from the Greek but it would be incredibly stupid to say all languages in Asia come from Greek.
First of all Names in Ancient Times had meanings behind them. Like Ethiopian in Greek is Burnt Face/people. Yet I'm not saying that Ethiopian was Greek. Don't try to change words. All I'm stating is that the Name Europe comes from a Phoenican Women. Everything about the Greek Language and Letters all go back to the Phoenican Language and letters I guess it's all a big coincidence right? I mean come on you're very intelligent you just don't want to face the facts.
You stated Indo-European IS Phoenician!!! The language is not the same as the Alphabet. Turkish can be written in Latin or Arabic script but it is neither Indo-European or Semetic. The alphabet is just the way the language is represented visually. I stress I'm in no way denying that the Greek alphabet was derived from the Phoenician. I do however strongly dispute your claim that the language does.
i deconstructed alpha-bet, minus corp/cap letters, notice capital i has no dot/iota. i = o atop of (e)l w/space btwn, i was called lota, (e)l + o + ta, ta = space, say ta to child, they give it back, close space, end, ta-ta. letters = words & anagrams. Letter o is from an (e)l closing, (e)l was 1st letter, elder. look elohim = el + oh + im, im back-words= mi, mi=ho=le, mi-hole. c rolls to be n & rolls to be u. hello = el oh, men=l, woman=o. h = l + n, no space, l=light, n=night, l+n=h=horizon
1 other, s when rolled onto its side, it =- un w/no space, this is why the word for Sun=Sun, S alone reps the Sun as, S is S + un as well, words are fun but letters are incredible. much more to be learned from letters then words. they say "in the beginning there was the word" but a word is made of letters, a single letter/form/shape was before the word, unless, the first word was one letter, like (e)l as. (e)l (not cap i) is also the #I & is a line, one verse has multiple lines, uni-verse.
Thank you. I would do another video with more words I've dissected, but I have to focus on co-writing my book right now. It needs a lot of my attention (and with a six-year-old AND a seven-month-old, it's tough). Be on the look out! We're aiming for a January 2009 release.
I like the way "YOU" sneak that picture of a Black Women in your vid, subliminally saying that Black Women are responsible for the many problems of the Black community,NOT SO don't blame the black mans fuckups on Black Women, mark my words I"ll expose you !
Mr: also I believe you are confusing conspiracy with Occult knowledge.Words have Occult meaning. All words have numeric value & spiritual context. Thus Gos is the Word. The Good Word. To speak to Inspire. In-Spir-E.Spuritu.Wind,Breath,To speak. The Spirit. If you dont have this spiritual understanding of words along with historical context then you dont ttruly have the meaning of the word. Just reading an etymological dictionary is the first step.
Mr:like I said before you may have read a few Etymology dictionaries but that is very basic. true etymology is the study of mythology,Theology, philosophy & religion with a bed of world history. So the way I explain "Elevate" is not conventional. It comes from understanding of the Theological origins of words.Maybe you havent been initiated into that understanding as of yet. thats why I said dont debate what you dont know based on what you have been taught thus far. These words have deeper origins
Mr: Like I said in order to learn this stuff you have to research.Dont take my word for it & dont deny my words truth. Just write down or copy & paste the things I have told you & begin your mission of study.Today it seems people want everything on a silver platter. Go do research of your own.I believe my comments were proof enough.
Started off interesting then got pretty wild. For example El dorado. Translated means The golden thing / one. It could just as easily refer to the golden chair, or golden donkey as anything else. In any case the Spanish word for golden starts with 'd' and not 'e', 'el' is just the article. So it doesn't really belong in your list of e words...
dimension: actually I am correct. regardless of the interpretation of a word in an adopting language the root words always go back to the same origin. Why? All humans share the same origin & have traded amongst themselves at some point. If you stuied etymology & not definitions as written in modern dictionaires then you would be able to see the connections. Also you must be well versed in Mythoilogy & religion, as most words have esoteric origins. "L" 90degree angle. The seat of God/exalted high
im not suggesting.. I know for a fact humans R connected by language aswell Words have deeper origins than one may think. Only those initiated in the occult of sound vibrations know this.Indo European languages have an origin Firstly its origin is Indo Meaning from
EL:No The Phoenicians didnt invent the telephone (which means through sound tele- phone) But the Greek word itself comes from them studying the writings of the Phoenicians. The Greek alpha bet is a copy based on the Phoenician Cuni form. The modern alpha bet is the same. Dude you need to do more studying and less trolling.
I agree about the Greek alphabet being based on the Phoenician but that has nothing to do with the languages. Turkish is written using a variation of Latin script, this doesn't mean that Turkish is related to Latin. Again I repeat Phone is from the Greek, nothing to do with Phoenician. The Tele part is also from Greek meaning far.
EL: how can the greek alphabet be based on phoenician but have nothing to do with language? That makes zero sense. what is language? How can you have an alphabet system & no language? huh? Stop arguing because you dont want to be wrong. Sometime there are people who know more about things than you. I would never argue about cars to Ford motors.
Just like a record player is called a Phonograph. Why? Because sound(phono) comes through it. The science of writing spoken sound or words is called Phonetics. From the word Phoenician. Now you are correct the name Phoenician is a Greek word in place of what they really called themselves (Sumerians or Canaanites) Uve been owned
I will repeat (again) Phone, phono etc are from Greek not Phoenician. Why would the Greeks make a name for sounds out of a name they use fior another people especially if that name has nothing to do with sound? Who's been owned now?
El: dude if you cant follow let me know. In order for the Greeks to use language they had to learn its application from a people called the Sumerians.Language is written & spoken. Thus the tern Phonetic means spoken word. SO the Greeks called the people who invented this science Phoenecians. People of the spoken word. Get it yet. The Greeks didnt invent Greek. Sumerians did.
1567 (implied in alphabetical), from L.L. alphabetum (Tertullian), from Gk. alphabetos, from alpha + beta, the first two letters of it, from Heb.-Phoen. aleph, pausal form of eleph "ox" + beth, lit. "house;" the letters so called because their shapes resembled or represented those objects. The Greeks added -a to the end of many Heb.-Phoenician letter names because Gk.
AT this moment I am redaing "Genius Frenquency","African origin Of Bio Chemical Psychiatry", & "World Mythology". I read about 3 to 4 books a month religiously. Plus I study religion. Read scripyture in Hebrew,Arabic,Latin etc
68: okay I'll have to go to the Library & get that. I have read Gerald masseys work before years ago. he knows that These people were Blacks Africans.
Mr: I have been studying, going to lectures, museums, traveling for over 20 years.I have read thousands of books.I worked as a clerk in a Law library & thats when I was exposed to Etymology.Since then have studied Oxford Dictionaries & word history.Linguistics etc. read basic Arabic,Hebrew,Metu Neter(Hyroglyphics) & understand Latin ,Greek,Hindu root words.Very well learnt in Religious history also. religious history is the key to all etymology.
Mr: phonetics comes from the word Phonecian. There is no coicidence with this. Modern alphabet is based on Phonecian Cunni form. Thats why its called Phonetics. Alot of European words get their origin here & from Egypt by way of Greece & Rome who gained much of its ideas from studying these Nations Sciences.
Mr: why do people like you think something is not true just because you never heard of it before. these arer not wild guesses. This is well researched information. Religion & etymology go hand in hand. Most words in any language have Esoteric conotations that have been simplified has years past. You only know the simplified meanings. Stop debating us on here & just open your mind & do some more research.Trust me you will see how true we are.
Mr: your problem is that you believe everythinmg you read on face value without doing further investigation & research.Dictionaries are very vague & basic. in order to fully understand the meaning of a word you must study the history of the word & the people(s) who used it. Then you will see that all I have wrote is accurate. I read this stuff in many Etymology encycl.Read many books on word connection. Your info is so basic man. Stop fighting what you cant see.
Mr: Of course you would believe Jesus is an Aramaic word translated into greek. that shows how much you know about The Bible & how it was written. First The greek New testament wasnt translated from Aramaic in whole. Much of it was written in Greek & Latin. Also there is no "J" in Aramaic my friend. The Hebrews called "Jesus" Emmanu-El or Yashua'.Not Jesus. Also The word Phonetics does come from the Word Phonecian. CUni form is a Phonecian art.Modern alphabets are based on Phonecian cuni form
Mr: yes Jesus is Greek. There is no "J" in Hebrew or Aramaic (which is the same damn language minus punctuation marks)along with Arabic & Urdu. Jesus is an anagram for the Greek Zeus. Also the latin Hay-zeus.Thats why spanish pronounces Jesus as HayZeus. Most Hebrews call Jesus yashua'.Also in the Bible his name was Emanu-El. Not Jesus. thats a Greek creation. Latin indeed did derrive from Greek. I've had this debate before. I have much evidence on this.Remember Rome learned from Greece.
Mr: You said El means definite article & nothing more? what a small minded view of language. El means definite article because its history goes back to Canaan as the Definite,Absolute,Omnipotent God. This out dates french & latin. Learn some history dude.
AT this moment I am redaing "Genius Frenquency","African origin Of Bio Chemical Psychiatry", & "World Mythology". I read about 3 to 4 books a month religiously. Plus I study religion. Read scripyture in Hebrew,Arabic,Latin etc
Mr: Im not skeptical I am very well educated in etymology. Obviously by my comments. You dont have any understanding of it obviously by your comments. & these are not my claims. They are well documented & studied."L" "EL" means God. WHy do people argue things they have no knowledge of? You are out of ya league pal.
Mr:you are very unlearned & because you dont undersytand the mystery of the spoken word you want me & others to live in your ignorance. "Levare". (L) remember in language vowels really dont even exist.Especially Hebrew & many ancient languages. (e)L. How do you pronounce the letter "L". You pronounce it EL.Use ya brain here. It is the same word.
Mr: No I am 100% correct. You just have a limited understanding. Most language goes back to esoteric meanings. Also Zeitgeist is only o brief over view. I've been studying that info fo over 20 yrs. I was just glad someone else told the story. I know just as much as the guys who made it if not more. Also There is not enough room to really break this doen to you so I will try my best to let you see the truth. Its obvious you have zero knowledge if word history.
Ari: EL is spanish comes from Arabic EL-Al.meaning The ALL. As in God. ALif, LAm,Ha. or ALLAH.ELohim etc. EL-Dorado again denotes God. EL(god)do(of)Ra(SUn)DO(of).
Mr: the guy said if you dont understand the history of religion then you will never understand etymology. The reason elevate means to lift up etc. is all religious. Lift up as in ressurect or accend. The lifting of the soul. The EL is god(soul).EL chooses you. El-ects you. El(god) is energy therefore El is Elect-ric.Get it.Electricity is the movement of god(energy)EL.EEEEEEEEEEEEISrael,Damiel. All have the same root. EL. God,soul. Soul or SOL> SOL means SUn.SOn sound.SOn of God.Gods Word.its deep
Mr: Jesus is not Hebrew name. There isnt even a "J" in the Hebrew Alphabet/ Jesus is a Greek name. The New Testatment was written mainly in Greek. Also EL is from Hebrew. But Hebrew is from Summerian Canaanite script.Phonecians etc. Thats why its called Phonetics.Oh & Latin comes from Greek. Most languages share roots that go back to mostly Egypt believe it or not.
Mr: Eldorado means Land Of Gold because El is the Canaanite high god who was a SUn god. Gold reps the Sun.AUrum(AU-Ra) comes from Egypt. AU is the sun gos Au-ser(osiris) & AU-Set(Isis).The periodic element for gold is Au.Eldorado means God Of Sun.
Spanish comes from Latin, which is an italic language. The term comes from conquerors, not the conquered. Auratus/Aurum/Auriole/Aura. I was making connections with the PARTS of the words that are similar, which suggests familiarity.
Interesting. You almost seem offended. I was speaking to a friend the other day about the dictionary and how it has been used to obfuscate the original meanings of root words from time to time. Could be you're right; could be I'm right. What I do know is that there are words WITHIN words that we use everyday, which was the point of "El".
Also, this language we speak is a bastardized one, so all this information must be taken with a grain of salt. Thanks for commenting.
Awesome video! I LOVE etymology. I didn't get the superman reference though :-)
Also, I would have liked if this video was narated if it were going to be this long... either that or broken into two parts of words with similarities or a chronological flow.
The Superman reference was pointing out that the creators of the characters (who were Jewish) knew what his family name (Kal-EL) meant.
Thanks for the pointers, too. This will probably be the longest video of this type. I'm working on a "Religion" video that I'd have no choice BUT to split in 2. Plus I got a mic now, so narration is doable (yeeeuhh!).
My comment got erased, so I'll say again: Graet vid man!!!
Also you may want to do research on the Medes and Magi of the ancient city Media of Persia. Then apply those words to our current medical profession, and its promotional vehicle.
Not hating just suggesting, lose the music, and make each slide 2-3 seconds longer.

Better for me as I checked it out without sound...nevertheless it was good. Congrats on a good video!

o Slavic is the mother of all languages.

True you cut and paste a lot of stuff but didn't actually mention what it referred to. Try to be a bit more clear please.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
How clear do I have to be. The reason I cut & paste is so that you know where my sources come from. Now go to the source & read it for yaself. Stop being lazy and waiting for an educational handout. There is but so much I can type on you tube or i'd go more into detail. this is why you lack this knowledge because you refuse to seek it yaself.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
ha,ha, how much clearer can I be? We havent changed the subject at all. You need clarification then look it up on ya own terms. Really this is getting old now. You know I am correct but are too proud to shake hands and move on.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
sorry that was a typo.

TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
I'm sorry, most of the words that you claim are derived from ''el'' are from Indo-European languages. The ''el'' in Eldorado is just the Spanish masculine singular definite article.Theo and deus mean similar things but aren't cognates.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
actually every word I mentioned does come from the Sumerian phonecian word El.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
I suppose the Phoenicians (not PHONEicians) invented the telephone too. Phone is ultimately from the Greek for sound. Phoenician is also a Semetic language. Find a serious linguist who'll disagree.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
EL sord83: See now you're just being an A hole for no reason. No The Phoenecians didnt invent the Phone. However the term Phonetic is relating to words and sound. That which is heard. Phone. The root word is the same. As in phono. The problem you are having is the lack of knowledge of word origins. So yes the word Phone does relate to Phoenicians creating Phonetics (sound, words). Thats why modern man even chose the word Phone. You kids kill me.. lol
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago

TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
Hilarious.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
No you are hilarious because all you have to do is research what I have written instead of debating. Dont believe a word I say. But dont say I not correct. Just find out for ya self. There is an online oxford etymological dictionary for starters just go to that site & research all I said. You will eat ya words.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
The Phoenician alphabetic script of 22 letters was used at Byblos as early as the 15th century B.C. This method of writing, later adopted by the Greeks,
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
Anyone reading this debate will have to say you are wrong dude. Seriously it can happen I've been wrong about many things before but once someone shows me proof I man up and bow down. Debate the oxford dictionary then not me cause i'm just saying what they and every other book I've read says.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
Look it up smart guy. The word Phonetic indeed derives from The Phoenicians( Oh you spelled it wrong too.. Glass house living ass..ha,ha) Check an Oxford Etymological dictionary it will tell you the origin of that word. The Phone is called so because you TALK(words) through it(Sound).
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
Point 1. I didn't spell it incorrectly.
Point 2. Phonetic is from the greek Phonetikos. Nothing to do with Phoenicians I wasn't seriously suggesting the Telephone was invented by the Phoenicians I was just making fun of your taking of superficial similarities as proofs.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
EL: Yes Phonetic comes from the Greek Phonetikos. But my question to you is where does the term Phonetikos come from? Get it? The cause not the effect. Also Though you were joking about telephone you were correct its all the same root word. Do you know what a root word is? All these words have the same root word. Phon. Its not by accident. Stop being hard headed and get to studying. Thank me later.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
HAve you been reading my posts properly at all? I never once denied that Phonetics and Phonetikos are related ( though I do dispute that they come from the same root as Phoenician, even if this were the case it still wouldn't support your arguements about Greek being derived from Phoenician). In fact I mentioned it to you first. I suggest you start reading a bit more carefully before making more nonsensical comments.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
People like you piss me off because you dont debate to learn you debate so you can be right. forget anything I say. Just read the Oxford definition. All those words mean the same thing. Its right in ya face. Stop being stubborn and just admit you were wrong. Damn man up.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
EL: So next time b4 you call someone a crack pot theorist do research cause I have my friend. Dont fall into the you tube mentality of shooting people down because they know something you dont. Study then critique. I will help you a paste it right from the Oxford Dictionary if you R 2 lazy to research.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
You called me an "A hole'' so ...Glass houses haha..
I have done research, it's just that I look beyond superficial similarities.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
EL: you have done zero research or we wouldnt be having this debate. there i sno superficial similarities. All words are based on history, events, & religious and spiritual philosophy. You deal with effects and not causes. The Greeks didnt create much from thin air most was borrowed. like language. Same with Latin.Same with all languages they all connect.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
Absolute rubbish!! Even if it were the case that Greek came from Sumerian as you've mentioned, the languages would have changed so much over time that cognates wouldn't be recognised by a superficial reading of the (again) MODERN ENGLISH SPELLINGS.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
whats rubbish? How can you argue with evidence. I have posted definitions from the Oxford etymological dictionary. What have you posted to base your argument? You are talking from emotion. I use fact. So dont say I am wrong say the Oxford dictionary is wrong. Only fools argue with evidence.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
EL: I figured I help you since obviously you are toolazy to do the research. This straight out the Oxford Etymological dictionary;
adjective
3.of or pertaining to Phoenicia, its people, or their language.
4.noting or pertaining to the script used for the writing of Phoenician from the 11th century b.c. or earlier and from which were derived the Greek, Roman, and all other Western alphabets.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
What is this referring to? Your claim that the word phonetic derives from Phoenicians?
ELSORD83 2 years ago
EL: i am not claiming anything. I learned this because I study etymology. The dictionaries & encyclopedias of etymology says that Greeks were taught by Phoenicians. even Herodotus wrote this. SO yes the word Phonetic and the word Phoenician have the same root word because it came from the Sumerian language. Not my opinion. Documented history my friend.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
Look in an encyclopedia or a dictionary for the defiunition of a language and then look for the definition of an alphabet.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
I'm way ahead of you. b4 I post my evidence. which you have not done yet. Let me say this. Alphabets cannot exist withoit language but language can exist without alphabet. this we agree on. Now about the Greeks. What you fail to understand is their language (concepts) and alphabets were taught to them. even Greek scholars report this.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
The alphabet the Greeks used was derived from the Phoenician, this we both agree on. This is the only thing you have given evidence for but unfortunately it is something I've never disputed. Give me evidence that the Phoenicians taught the Greeks their language.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
I gave you the evidence that Greeks taught the Phoenicians just read the comments from last night dude. stop being lazy. I shouldnt have to give you anything you should look it up yaself.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
Oh it's the Greeks who taught the phoenicians now is it? Let's get over the alphabet thing because we agree on that. Proof about the language please.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
No The Phoenicians taught the Greeks. So did the Egyptians and a few other cultures. It is what later became Greek philosophy. language is an expression of philosophy and ideas as well as events.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
How clear can I be. I am giving you the books too look for ya self. Google "The Stromata" & read it for ya self. I keep repeating myself. I'm done.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
You could be a whole lot clearer. You said you were done twice before. Third time lucky eh?
True you keep repeating yourself, with cut and pastes of information that doesn't contradict me or your own theories which you haven't given a shred of evidence for.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
You already lost this debate..ha,ha, evidence beats conjecture every time.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
Bloody hell!! I'd forgotten about you. Again no evidence to support your idiotic idea that the Greek language is derived from Phoenician. You are right in one thing, evidence does beat conjecture. It's just a shame you haven't got any.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
Man you are so stubborn its funny. I only posted paragraphs out Oxford dictionaries saying word for word Greek comes from Phoenician. much evidence i've posted. You have not posted one sentence of reference. So with that i'm done. your another you tube clown
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
No you haven't the closest thing you posted to that was that the Greek alphabet was basedf on the Phoenician. I never disputed this. None of your posts supported your arguement at all. Just for my amusement send me just one post from a credible source which supports your arguement,. You even think Latin comes from Greek, you know nothing about linguistics or history.
This is by the way the fourth time you've said you're done, let's hope you mean it this time.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
Okay...I'm tired of you..You win. I was wrong you are right... happy? Peace.

Actually in the Websters College Dictionary 4th Edition. The Definition for the letter A reads The first letter of the Alphabet from the Greek Alpha borrowing from the Phoencians.
ThaFlyestMoor72 2 years ago
Both Alpha and Beta are from Phoenician. It doesnt follow however that the rest of the Greek language comes from Phoenician.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
If they got the alphabet which are the letters which make words. I mean you write in the language you speak right? think bruh and face the truth. it's been written by Gerald Massey(light of Egypt) and John G Jackson.( Stolen Legacy).
ThaFlyestMoor72 2 years ago
''You write in the language you speak''? The Alphabet was used to represent the sounds and words the Greeks already had, The spoken language came first, then the written one. Just because the Greeks borrowed and adapted the way to represent their OWN sounds/words doesn't mean they borrowed the language.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
What?? Then tell me what they did?
ThaFlyestMoor72 2 years ago
Here is evidence Phoenicians taught Greeks: St. Clement of Alexandria (c.150-c.215) confirms in "The Stromata" that the origin of the arts and philosophy were from non-Greek cultures such as Phoenician, Carthaginian, Thracian, Egyptian, Etruscan, Persian...etc
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
I see you're veeering away from your ludicrous claim that the Greek language is derived from Phoenician. I have posted nothing about cultural influences on the Greeks from other peoples. I was talking purely about LANGUAGES. Yet again you have avoided giving evidence for that idiotic claim. The burden of proof is on you.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
I have posted the definition for you. More evidence. For now on I will only post evidence.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
El: let me further learn you young Jedi. Vowels hold no place in language. The express the sound of the consonant. U R caught up in spelling bcause you dont understand language. Indo-European is Phoenician. Read the definition for Europa where the word european comes from. In the Webster's college Dictionary 3rd edition it reads: A phoenican Princess who was loved by Zeus.
ThaFlyestMoor72 2 years ago
I would be extremely interested in reading something that shows how this myth is related to Indo-European languages and not just the name ''Europe''
ELSORD83 2 years ago
The word Europe comes from Europa. Yo if the name came from the Phoenicans then obviously the language came from them. I mean yo if you don't want to believe it don't but everyone on this site is giving you written facts Yet you pretnd to not comprehend. This has already been argued by Chiek Ana Diop where he beat European Scholars. John Henry Clarke also won a debate it's on you tube the Greeks got everything from the Khemetic
ThaFlyestMoor72 2 years ago
I'm sorry but that is terrible reasoning. That's like saying Algonquin or Nahuatl come from Italian just because America is named after Amerigo Vespucci. The name Asia comes from the Greek but it would be incredibly stupid to say all languages in Asia come from Greek.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
First of all Names in Ancient Times had meanings behind them. Like Ethiopian in Greek is Burnt Face/people. Yet I'm not saying that Ethiopian was Greek. Don't try to change words. All I'm stating is that the Name Europe comes from a Phoenican Women. Everything about the Greek Language and Letters all go back to the Phoenican Language and letters I guess it's all a big coincidence right? I mean come on you're very intelligent you just don't want to face the facts.
ThaFlyestMoor72 2 years ago

BankofSpirit 2 years ago
1 other, s when rolled onto its side, it =- un w/no space, this is why the word for Sun=Sun, S alone reps the Sun as, S is S + un as well, words are fun but letters are incredible. much more to be learned from letters then words. they say "in the beginning there was the word" but a word is made of letters, a single letter/form/shape was before the word, unless, the first word was one letter, like (e)l as. (e)l (not cap i) is also the #I & is a line, one verse has multiple lines, uni-verse.

TheSonsOfLight 3 years ago
Mr:like I said before you may have read a few Etymology dictionaries but that is very basic. true etymology is the study of mythology,Theology, philosophy & religion with a bed of world history. So the way I explain "Elevate" is not conventional. It comes from understanding of the Theological origins of words.Maybe you havent been initiated into that understanding as of yet. thats why I said dont debate what you dont know based on what you have been taught thus far. These words have deeper origins
TheSonsOfLight 3 years ago
Mr: Like I said in order to learn this stuff you have to research.Dont take my word for it & dont deny my words truth.

So it doesn't really belong in your list of e words...
dimensionaldan 2 years ago
dimension: actually I am correct. regardless of the interpretation of a word in an adopting language the root words always go back to the same origin.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago

True, Humans share the same origins but their languages don't necessarily do so.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
im not suggesting.. I know for a fact humans R connected by language aswell Words have deeper origins than one may think. Only those initiated in the occult of sound vibrations know this.Indo European languages have an origin Firstly its origin is Indo Meaning from
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
Could you explain the last sentence please? It doesn't really make any sense.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
EL:No The Phoenicians didnt invent the telephone (which means through sound tele- phone) But the Greek word itself comes from them studying the writings of the Phoenicians. The Greek alpha bet is a copy based on the Phoenician Cuni form. The modern alpha bet is the same. Dude you need to do more studying and less trolling.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
I agree about the Greek alphabet being based on the Phoenician but that has nothing to do with the languages. Turkish is written using a variation of Latin script, this doesn't mean that Turkish is related to Latin. Again I repeat Phone is from the Greek, nothing to do with Phoenician. The Tele part is also from Greek meaning far.
ELSORD83 2 years ago
EL: how can the greek alphabet be based on phoenician but have nothing to do with language? That makes zero sense. what is language? How can you have an alphabet system & no language? huh? Stop arguing because you dont want to be wrong. Sometime there are people who know more about things than you. I would never argue about cars to Ford motors.
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
Just like a record player is called a Phonograph. Why? Because sound(phono) comes through it. The science of writing spoken sound or words is called Phonetics. From the word Phoenician. Now you are correct the name Phoenician is a Greek word in place of what they really called themselves (Sumerians or Canaanites) Uve been owned
TheSonsOfLight 2 years ago
I will repeat (again) Phone, phono etc are from Greek not Phoenician. Why would the Greeks make a name for sounds out of a name they use fior another people especially if that name has nothing to do with sound? Who's been owned now?
ELSORD83 2 years ago
El: dude if you cant follow let me know. In order for the Greeks to use language they had to learn its application from a people called the Sumerians.Language is written & spoken. Thus the tern Phonetic means spoken word. SO the Greeks called the people who invented this science Phoenecians. People of the spoken word. Get it yet. The Greeks didnt invent Greek. Sumerians did.

TheSonsOfLight 3 years ago
Mr: phonetics comes from the word Phonecian. There is no coicidence with this. Modern alphabet is based on Phonecian Cunni form. Thats why its called Phonetics. Alot of European words get their origin here & from Egypt by way of Greece & Rome who gained much of its ideas from studying these Nations Sciences.
TheSonsOfLight 3 years ago
Mr: why do people like you think something is not true just because you never heard of it before. these arer not wild guesses. This is well researched information.
TheSonsOfLight 3 years ago

Thanks for the correction. To split "Dorado" into its 3 syllables reveals "Ra" the golden Sun God.
Some months of the year, even, are named for some of those concepts.
March (Mars, "god" of war)
April (Aphrodite, seen as "goddess" of love, but more likely fertility)
May (Maya, ditto)
June (Juno, Equivalent to Hera)
JULius AUGUSTus Caesar (nuff said).

Awesome video! I LOVE etymology. I didn't get the superman reference though :-)
Also, I would have liked if this video was narated if it were going to be this long... either that or broken into two parts of words with similarities or a chronological flow.
5****'s!

Thanks, T!

They kill us with words indeed.
