  • WE DON'T LEAVE,,WE ARE INTHE WIND,,FOREVER,,,NUTHIN ,,IF YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND,,RONNIE HERE,,ONLY IN THE WIND.....

  • that harmonica is so blues. awesome.

  • this is one of the few bands that dont suck live. most bands sound completely different with the edited version.

  • the best performance they ever done of this song rip

  • @0609sean ... agreed !!! .. One More From the Road is in my top 5 favorite live albums of all time ! Right up there with " Live and Dangerous" from Thin Lizzy

  • How can there be 10 people on earth that don't like this, thats just wrong....

  • @wilcatredneck scumbums

  • Ronnie will live forever...no matter what, just open your ears!! OMG!! If nobody can't listen to this song & get the MEANING of it...YOU are NOT fucking LISTENING!!!! Love you always Ronnie....gone with the wind............................

  • the geetar boy!

these fellas poured their souls into this music for us.

    pay some respects!

  • @zaddrr LS died when ronnie died unfortunately...he was the john lennon of southern rock as a songwriter

  • @leonetski i seen Lynyrd Skynyrd in 76'.....never gave his brother the chance, but seen LS again last year and absolutely amazed at the performance...FUCKIN AWESOME

  • i love you

  • Jacksonville"s best. Florida should be PROUD. this Tampa rocker is .

  • Read some of these comments. It's not fair. Sure, Ronnie Van Zant WAS Lynyrd Skynyrd. But the guys in the band now, who are all in their late 50's, are doing a hell of a job keepin that flame burning. Saw them live not too long ago and it was worth every dollar to hear these songs again. Not the same band, but still worth it. Let's face it people, nothing in life stays the same.

  • @ all who are bagging on the current lineup of Skynyrd:

I see the 1990's and beyond incarnations of the band more as a tribute band. No, it's not the real thing. Sadly, the real thing can never be again, simply because most everyone from the 1970's is gone.

From what I understand, the band is still there to pay tribute to the music, which they do well.

Also, Judy Van Zant owns the name. If she wasn't okay with the band continuing to exist as Skynyrd, it wouldn't. PERIOD.

  • @shytownmofo you just dont understand shytown....its not about whats what or who's what. its about living. these fellas are part of our lives, and theres no way to change it!

  • playing foosball in the Memphis TN USO. stepped outside and smoked a fat joint. RIP Ronnie. that plane crash left a real big hole, in music and our lives hey basshead- check out Drive By Truckers, Rebel Son and Slobberbone (or now the Drams) still wonder where those Marines are and if they still listen to this kinda shit.

  • depressing. the keg is kicked.. the night is over... and this band [and bands like it] are nearly non existent.

  • 34 years today - Very hard to beleive it's been all this time now. I was 15 in '77 and remember this all to well because I had tickets for the Boston Garden that Nov. = I still have the tickets.

  • @jrushmen yeah man, i stayed up all night n blasted free bird for 10 hours in honor. 34 years. this is the music that last forever!

  • todays the day music died oct 20 . rest in piece

  • Way too many folks raggin' on the current lineup.....the point is....u don't have to miss this music live. Gary is making sure that everybody plays the songs as awesome as is humanly possible and Johnny, (who admitidly only sounds simular to RVZ). Ronnie was once quoted as saying that his youngest brother has the "Best voice in the family". Get over it people....buy a ticket if they come to your town. You'll be soooo glad u did!

  • @RedNeckRocker491 You cant replace a RVZ with somebody else and say heres LYNYRD SKYNYRD. Thats like putting somebody on stage and saying heres ELVIS, cant be done. And we know who had best voice and it can only be RVZ. Irreplaceable, yea they can play the music, but Ronnie was best frontman i believe ever. No dancing around, no breaking guitars, not ripping his shirt off, just grab the mic look the audience in the eye and let it rip. And nobody done it better, so i guess im just not over it.

  • @chance501 we know this man. no one will ever replace, any of the greats, elvis, evel

  • @rolesvill You got that right, and todays LS doesnt replace Ronnie and LS of 70s

  • October 20th 1977, not 22nd.

  • SKYNYRD=GREATEST ROCK N ROLL EVER

  • Pretty insane the lead singer has been dead for 30+ years, but there music never died!

  • Perfect pitch by Ronnie!!!!!!!!!!!!! Soulful guitar intro! GOD WAS THERE!!!!!! They all connected.

  • @ihatelibsalot ♫❤♫❤♫❤♫ Ronnie Van Zant ♫❤♫❤♫❤♫ ----4 EVER

  • NYE- THIS IS A SONG OF LOST LOVE AND I CRY EVERYTIME I HEARE IT!! why BECAUSE OF YOU.. I LEAVE U BEHIND ALL THE TIME I DONT WANT TO LEAVE U BEHIND ANYMORE ever!!!-NYE!! i love you!!

  • @HELP41ME And i dont want u too. But what do we do. I love you!!!!!!

  • @moshort19 we will overcome this too!! as the door problem!!

  • @HELP41ME It's Tuesday and its not gone!! My love grows deeper for u every passing second!! i cant stand not having u with me I 'm still leaving you behind and its ripping my heart out!! You Will never be gone with the wind.. I feel like if I cant touch you see you I'll explode!! NYE- u may be many miles but i cant ride my blues away!! I cant and wont carry on without u my love!! Your not gone with the wind!!!!! NYE I LOVE YOU!!!!

  • so good it hurts

  • Some 1983 Da mas and this song just makes me smile.

  • one of my favorite grps of the 70's, I listened to this song as a teenage girl to go to sleep to. Sure miss these guys, always think what if, if they hadn't died, what other good music would we have gotten to listen to. What if?????

  • @mrlaheysmb Amen

  • When I go, this song, live, is all I want said.

Nobody else can compare to Ronnie, nothing else can compare to his words and Gary & Allen's guitar work seals it!!!

...I'm leavin' my woman behind...Lord and Tuesday's gone with the wind...

It's too bad the pilot had his head so far up his ass that he didn't refuel before takeoff...

  • Rite on brother, rite on Im die heart my self ..........

may the south rise again and thats comin from a boy raised up north........

    ronnie lives on..

  • Chills starts at 0:30.

  • Ronnie always wore bell bottoms because he was always bare footed on stage. Ronnie was very short in stature as he was only like 5'8" but he was one tough SOB, but he never wore those huge cowboy boots to make himself look taller.

he was asked why not? He said he liked feeling the heat of the stage on his bare feet! It made him feel more alive!

  • Greatest band ever!!!!

  • white America stick together before its to late

  • I was listening to lynard skynard when my mates in fermoy were listening to glam rock, country & watching black and white tv, order the vinyl Lp in the shop& asked how to spell the name of the group , waiting weeks before it arrived, feeling great and loving everything when it did, listening to the music in the back room of my folks home. Being so proud when I would walk to my mates house with the album under my arm ,then asked 'whats the album ?' and the silence when I say skynard.ah the 70s

  • @BufordWoody ...yeah!!!!!! hahahaha

  • @BufordWoody

Greatest post in the history of youtube. Thanks for the laugh, lol..

  • @BufordWoody ROTFLMAO!!!!!

  • See ya Tuesday!

  • There's nothing like the Southern Rock or the 70's and 80's. Lynyrd Skynyrd isstill the Greatest Band of All Time

  • Gary Rossington is the only origanal band member left!!!

  • another classic song from LS and the great RVZ...who was ronnie talking about when he wrote "cry for the bad man"?

  • I love this band they r the true south.

  • Ahhhhh... Classic Skynard... the world is at peace.

  • Lynyrd Skynyrd paved the way for Marshall Tucker, Allman Brothers-they came out about the same time (Allman's) but Skynyrd made it happen.

  • @syetrip The Allman Bros actually were the first to do southern rock but I like Skynyrd better :)

  • @buccaneers77377 lol it doesnt matter who is better. the song should free your mind not clutter it with nonsense

  • Who's left in this band today? Gary Rossington

  • @parsonsclubmarket Artimus Pyle is still alive and drumming, but he's not with Skynyrd. He and Gary ARE the only two left from this lineup. Ed King is alive but he had left in (I think) late 1974. He has played with them for special events in recent years (Hall of Fame induction) but not full time.

  • thanks for posting such great music

  • Best band ever. there will never be another sound like these great musicians. R.I.P. all of them.

  • RIP Billy Powell (and the rest..Ronnie, Allen, Leon, Steve, Cassie, JoJo)

I was born 10 years to the day of the plane crash, and My dad, being a huge Skynyrd fan, named me Patricia Tuesday..

  • @TrishaDishaWarEagle RIP RVZ Steve Gaines, Cassie Gaines, Dean Kilpatrick, Andy Flower,Allen Collins, Leon Wilkeson, Huey Tommason, Billy Powell, Ean Evans, Jo Jo Billingsley......RIP

  • @TrishaDishaWarEagle You're dad is up there.

  • 5 people are still stuck on tuesday.

  • I live in MEXICO and my father introduced them to me, they are my favorite band i tell ya. these fuckers were the best. LEGENDZ

  • lol people today are just so arrogant..

  • These Florida crackers were just Allman/Black Oak Arkansas wannabes. Made some ok tunes, long suit was not subtlety or originality tho.

You should have seen all the mascara flowing down the faces of the girls in my High school back parking lot in Ga. gallons, I'm talkin'.

I saw 'em in Nineteen 'Ought Seventy three or four in Athens... They were ok,...never really got it though. BB King alone on a stage w/ an amp & git-box blows these jokers away. I'm just sayin' is all...

  • @GregH1961 although i agree bb king can blow away any rock act without trying

i like many other people love these guys

so as my dad was always saying to me "each to his own"

  • @GregH1961 If you are talking about skynyrd then you are a dumbass

  • @GregH1961 We all like different thing. You run off now and listen to what you like and stop insulting other music that others like. If you don't have a positive this to say...don't.

  • @wozjj They are the best.....bar none....beatles, etc....The Allman Bros run a close second place......

  • @GregH1961 lord have mercy...............they were cryin for a reason!! its a badass song!! like the rest of their songs. allman bros are great but skynyrd is the greatest

  • @GregH1961 BB King? Great....Allman Bros? Great......

    Nice to know your roots.

However what Lynyrd Skynyrd did was take those roots add rock and create the pinnacle of this type music. NONE ever did it better, and very few even came close.

  • @GregH1961 Honestly man? you are trolling on a skynyrd song? you must have down's syndrome... that's the only explanation i can come up with for your comment... it's just so pathetic. I really feel sorry for you greg, you must be a bit of a basketcase. Skynyrd was legendary.. and they only would have gotten better if not for the crash... free bird... tuesdays gone... simple man... these songs are some of the greatest songs ever written so from all the real skynyrd fans in here FUCK YOU LOSER!

  • such lamenting guitar from Gary maches Ronnies forlorn singing - magic - from Australia

  • great guitar solos (by gary)... hats of to the gary!

  • i have hunted for this version of the song on youtube for a year! i can die now.

  • i seem to always find myself with a beer in my hand when this song comes on love it

  • long live lynyrd skynyrd and the southern wind....

  • LONG LIVE LYNARD SKYNARD and the southern wind...

  • Words cannot describe this band accurately , "legends" for lack of a better word. Such a tragedy the events that took place october 22 , 1977. ((Thumbs up for Lynyrd Skynyrd))

  • Music today doesn't have anything to say like back then

  • WILD WILD WEST

  • The Best Southern Rock Band of all time!!! Lynyrd Skynyrd is the BEST and Always will be!!!!

  • Tuesday's gone, the day the found out Berry Oakley died. An with that, the brothers spirit was almost gone.

  • Too my buddy Don, miss you bro, Pat Kail........

  • Too my buddy Don, miss you bro, Pat Kail

  • The music died in 1980

  • @lopperdeg music died with ronnie back in 1977

  • GOTDAMN!!! 7:05-7:50

  • S K Y N Y R D,baby yeah!

  • Ride on Ronnie.....R.I.P.

  • a new york radio station played this as a tribute to tues 9.11.01, it's hard to pick a favorite from these guys. but this is very near the top.

  • I sat and had supper with his parents and brother in 79.. seen his records in gold n platinum.. an unbelievable talent.. as he said...

he'll go down and be in the shadow of it all.. as it is now

  • Happy Gilmore.

    All I have to say.

  • @michetox lol HAAPY. I love this song..and RONNIE. What a cool cat..the best ever. So sad he had to go..what a loss. He is def underrated.

  • I Live RIGHT around the corner frm the school Theze Guys were kicked out of......I LIVE RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER FROM THE STOMPING GROUNDS OF THE GREATEST ROCK BAND EVER..!!.......May GOD Rest Their SoulS.....

  • Jus luv that rebel rock&roll !!!!

  • SO LONG COACH!

Leonard Skinner Gone With The Wind....

Age 77, which is also reminisent of when the first band died 1977

  • Tonight picking through all the versions of this song.

Leonard Skinner just passed away. Check the Jacksonville newspaper website for the story.

This version of the song, and the "demo" studio version, really add to what the band had in mind. I dearly love hearing the Hammond B-3 in this version after he moves off the piano solo, which is better in that demo version.

  • What a fitting song for how I have been feeling today.

  • wow what a fucking perfomance.

  • this song was actually palyed at my cuz's funeral....this song now reminds me of her!!!

  • I'll love this song forever...... the first few notes hit you in the heart and the gut at the same time... EVERY time. Never fails! Awwwww...... Remember in school the kids didn't know how to spell words like DOG - but every folder had LYNYRD SKYNYRD written on it! Mine did!

  • yeah...yeah!!!...freaking kick ass tune!!!
