  • After 50 years in real estate, related business, finally someone had the guts to come out and tell it like it is. These people can't get out of their own way. Now that the market has no lending, they just keep doing what they have been doing expecting different results. Wake up, there is no conventional financing. There are methods and procedures available. Owner finance is the new developing market. Contact a real pro!

  • Real Estate agents don't take commissions from buyers. Agents don' t take commissions from sellers either. Agents get their commissions from their broker. Everything goes through the broker. The seller is the one who agrees to paying a commission, and that is paid to the buyers and sellers agents brokers. It sounds to me like the person in this video was trying to do something illegal/unethical and the broker stopped it. Fiduciary responsibility, yes, and that is what you're complaining about.

  • I believe it

thats why they are called realtards

  • Real Estate agents are absolutely worthless. Without a doubt, the most over-compensated profession on the planet.

  • LMFAO!!! An investor, who preys on the misfortune of others, bashing realtors who are trying to sell people's homes for as much as they can on the open market. I doubt seriously this "kind hearted" investor pays market value for the people he "saves".

  • Well said. Realtors , with a few exceptions , are basically parasites.

  • Passion!

  • How do you know when a real estate agent is lying? Because their phony lips are moving!

  • Realtors get a lot of bad press. You as a Realtor should re-evaluate your comments as you discredit your own profession as a whole. You know there is more to it. I never compromise my owner for a commission. I do no extend myself inappropriately. Rather refer to another than my seller make this sacrifice because of greed. I'm not hating on you. I just feel your marketing efforts would be better served if you chose a more positive outlook. Wish you well, Fellow Realtor

  • @NkiDrlng Geez, you really REALLY sound like a real estate agent! You're totally honest and would never try to pull the wool over a home owner's eyes so that you could make a sale, correct? Ok, we believe you. Send me your name and I'll make sure you are my next listing agent. Seriously.

  • I think most real estate agents need to be re-educated and that is exactly what is happening in 2011. It will be required for real estate agents to take part in continuing education. You are right.... there are a lot of stupid real estate agents out there. And this is partly because you might be talking to an agent who got their license 15 years ago and has not had any continuing education. Hopefully things will improve soon. Good luck in your real estate investments :-)

  • to mlinkenauger, yeah the reason for selling 14% higher is the seller has to pay a stupid high school level education realtor his commision, also realtors are always advising buyers to make higher offers on the listing price result: property prices start to rise once again and then comes the crash, wont they ever learn. Don't pay more than what the seller is asking it only makes the values rise again.

  • @aljr09 Wow, who the heck would pay more than the seller is asking? That is crazy!!! But I have no doubt there are people out there that would actually do that.

You would think people would just pay close to the market value of the house they want.

  • This gentlemen is absolutely right. I appreciate his conviction. My only question to him is what else did you do for the homeowner? Stopping the sale is easy.

  • I agree with you, for the most part. There are many agents who should stay far away from short sales. In my area there are only a hand full of agents really moving them and they are at the top of the local market. We need more like them.

  • Being an agent really keeps your hands tied. Not being an agent allows you to be creative when buying and selling houses. Agents dont stand in his way, they are just incompetent and uninformed.

  • By the way, it is a FACT that the average home sold by a Realtor, VS by owner, sells for 14% HIGHER.

  • My challenge is keeping consumers away from scam artists investors posing as home buyers in an attempt to rob a lender. Protect the homeowner??? I'll argue that with you ANY day. I've shot down and put in their place virtually all the "Guru's" and "Experts", including the trainers who TEACH people like you, even the attorney who claims he wrote the option contract. The vast majority of people like you are scam artists. GOOD, and educated agent protect consumers from people like YOU.

  • Your challenge should be to sell the house before it goes to auction. What do you really do for home owners? I doubt you have told off any gurus or experts in the real estate field who know their way around the foreclosure process or any other facet of the lending/banking industry. Good and educated agents sell houses.

  • Realtors don't just need to get out of the way - they need to disappear altogether. Just like the travel agent did. Realtors are worthless useless middlemen (and women) who try to control, cover up, manipulate the flow of information and work AGAINST the buyer to protect their undeserved commissions. They are NOT your friend. They add 6% to the cost. When you factor that into the loan + interest it's more like 12-24%. And for what? With the internet who needs these useless intermediaries?

  • It is important to find the right Realtor when doing creative real estate transactions. Sometimes Realtors do seem to care more about the free advertising in the front yard than actually helping someone sell their house before the auction.

  • I agree the majority of agents are complete idiots, and I am an agent myself. Just curious, what kind of "investor" are you? I know a ton of people that claim to be investors, and they all have a common theme. Write a lowball offer on the home, with the option to "assign" the contract. This usually happens on short sales where the homeowner is about to lost the home. The said "investor" then runs around looking for some sucker to pay more than then the contract. Is that you?

  • No major lender will accept an assignable contract for a Short Sale offer. Have you completed a Short Sale?

  • Totally agree with you Rand, he wants 20cents on the dollar and what do you think his other concerns are? Nothing, just another INVESTER to take or steal the home from the seller and pay them NOTHING,just enough money to pack the furniture into a truck and to head to a park to live under the trees,,

  • Investors who buy houses that are in default bring a few missing components to the table: MONEY, the ability to REPAIR properties, the ability to NEGOTIATE, and the GUTS to get off of their butts and MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN. They are able to bring sellers and buyers together on impossible deals. Your welcome.

  • You sound silly There are thousands of good agents I help home owners everyday there are some bad agents out there but lots of good ones. Get Your real estate license and stop bother and bad mouthing the real professionals. You dont know how hard it is being a full time agent it is one of the hardest jobs. You have to work really hard and there is no guarantee you will get paid.

  • A True professional...right down to his TShirt

  • If anyone is incompetent here, its you.our inabilty to articualte what the issue is or was shows that maybe you are just another wanna be investor who stays up late at night watching Carlton Sheets an dcouldnt buy a home for 20 cents on the dollar.

  • This is what happens to homeowners across the nations and it needs to stop. Why is it so difficult to find good help?
