I got one of these when I was 12 and then I bought a CZ550 Medium 7mm Rem Mag when I was 16. I absolutely love them both!! They're accurate beyond belief!
Nice video! I'm probably going to buy a CZ 455 lux as my very first gun, then maybe a Ruger MK III after that.
How far do you shoot with that scope? I plan on shooting 100 yards a lot, but I'm also thinking of buying a scope for 200 yards. Are you able to hit targets at 200 yards with this gun?
@xKingNicKx2455 That's because the Weatherby is an Anschutz with a different stock. Annies are the best - but also the most expensive. You can buy 2 CZ's for the price of one Annie.
@SnipaYoAs Hey man,are you serious there? The reason I ask this is because I was just about to buy a new CZ .22 (Stutzen) from my local gun dealer but for another £100 he has the new Browning T-Bolt with a heavy barrel,is the Browning worth that bit more than the CZ,is it a better built and more accurate rifle? Sorry to pick your brains on this, just that everyone seems to be mad about CZ`s.
I bought one of these last winter with a scope and moderator very impressed it can hit a 1 pence coin at 50 yards no problem nailed some rabbits 100 yards away standing no problem, aimed about an inch above its head because it was set up for 50 yards. Cant wait to test it out on my granddads farm where I can shoot 300 yards away and test it at extreme ranges.
Awesome review, and very good explanation i actually lerned something out of this :P wich doesn`t happen often xD haha. how is that rifle for hunting?
@FishHunt95 good to hear it. great, I go hiking with it in the woods nothing is safe, if you want to kill anything, Not that i recommend or condone it, the rifle provides the means.
@bnccristi mine is a Harris bipod. it is ok but a little pricey for my blood but it does the job. any bipod with a swivle attachment will work. just go to a out fitter and get a feel for what you like then go online and find a deal.
@CottenCandyFckTart dude that was a 100% awesome and accurate video. but seriously if you put a better scope on that it will improve the accuracy even more! on my 452 i have a weaver 2.5 - 7 x 28, and as i said i am able to hit 308 to as small as 22 spent shells at 75 to 100 yards. its probably the best 22 rifle for the money. but all around great review. plus u should check out our shooting montage videos 1 and 2.
@coltt218 sorry for the late reply, not to be vague but there are many versions of those rifles if you get the bb "bull barrel" of one then it will be better than the other, but not having shot personaly those rifles i know browning A and other similar type model have some problems with the bolt, and After owning a few different rugers 10/22, 22/45 pistol i would stay away from them, if they arent FF "failer to fire" they are FE "failer to extract." thats my .02c and I can tell you i love my cz.
@coltt218 I personally have a cz 452 American as well as my friend and he has the same scout as this video and we both love them. the accuracy is amazing to what you will ever get with Rugers or anything other than something like a Anschutz that you will end up paying over $1000 dollars for. the browning Tbolts I looked at but the accuracy isnt there compared to the cz's. on a stand i am able to hit dead center of 22lr, 308, 223 spent shells at 75 to 100 yards with my 452. RECOMMEND CZ 452 ONLY
@chazwazza12345 no not to many people have czs at my range and if they do they are pistols. hows the vx? Im actually looking into a scope for my 300 win. mag.
@CottenCandyFckTart The current VX 3 is brilliant, it cost $785 but I can say it is worth every cent. Not to sure on the details for the scope. I just recommend go out to your local gun shop as for a VX 2 or VX 3 scope have a good look and they are worth it hands down.
@chazwazza12345 I actually just bough a Simmons 4/x12 x 44 .44 mag scope. i couldn't argue with the price they were selling it at and the features it had so i bought it now the hunt for good rings begins.
Hey there mate hows the shooting going? Got myself a Howa Axiom .223 varmit last month. I took my CZ .22 into hospital to have the doctor look at it. Looks like my extractors are machined wrong. All getting fixed free on warenty. CZ where nothing but all too happy to fix it quickly so was the gun shop I got it from. Love CZ they seem to look after you realy well.
Great Vid bro i got one myself. just bough 2 10 rnd mags, 2 cans of ballistol, a gun case, and some other stuff i dont need haha. they are great shooters. great review and have a good one. cheers.
@CottenCandyFckTart if your shooting at living creatures it should not be a question of 'challenge' it should be a question of what will kill the animal quickest and with the least pain
@acteuro03 I agree but if anyone was hunting with a 22 than i would assume that it would be small game and with .22 CCI Stinger ammo one could kill the animal without it suffering well past 100 yards, assuming again they are a decent shot. and with a small animal at that distance its either hit or miss. and if you hit a rabbit anywhere with the falling trajectory of CCI HP,Stinger or any high velocity ballistic 22 that it will be a fast death.
Uhh how can it be the best bolt action rifle? There are a billion guns out there worth heaps more than that. Make sure your facts are right, but anyways I love that rifle :P
Price doesn't mean better. And the cost of a rifle I think fits in with how good it is. ie too expensive just takes away from capabilities of the rifle because it costs so much. These CZ 452's are the best rifles you can buy for that price, and they will outclass more expensive rifles. Hands down best value for money.
There's a sale starting this Thursday at the Cabela's in Boise, CZ 452 Lux for $349.99. I'm going to sell them my Browning Auto 5 and grab one of these.
@CharlieDoan i said in the video at cabelas, they were having a sale. you apparently have no concept of how much bullets cost or the concept of patience and making every shot count. please dont comment stupid remarks, it only makes you look ignorant.
@FISHERMANPADDY well theres videos of people shooting these rifles out to 350+ yards but for consistency's sake, with good ammo, i shoot at a max of 200 yards. its all about your set up and what bullets your using. but at 200 yards there is a hell of a drop.
@CottenCandyFckTart 200 yards would be more than adequate for my purposes, I have a deposit down on one of these, crackin guns. I assume you would only be shootin at those ranges with high velocity ammo? Its a bit more expensive on this side of the pond unfortunately. What would the FPS be on the ammo you use? And would it kill Foxes / Rabbits at those ranges? Thanks for your help.
@FISHERMANPADDY it depends on where you hit the fox, rabbit. but I'm from the Appalachian mountains and shoot in valleys mostly. I usually shoot subsonic but when Im out on the range at 100+ yards I stay away from Remington gold pack or any bulk ammo... I like the CCI hp. I don't have any rounds with me now (in college) or i could tell ya the fps but i think its around 1250 which inst that high but they carry pretty well over long distances. To be honest I don't know that much about ammo.
@hordo2 hey there. What is this micro grove compared to a normal grove and where would you use such a thing? Im new to guns still and trying to learn.
Im also from Australia. Born in Kalgoorlie and our family, friends had Brunos and Rugers. Two of the most used guns there.
Hey there mate. Been shotting with my gun at the farm and shooting range. Blasted about 1500 round through it and it is very accurate indeed. I mounted a wolfeye light to the left of the scope for night shooting at the farm. Totaly wonderfull. Only problem Im having with my gun its not ejection properly. It pulls the spent shell out but dont "flick it out" if you know what I mean. Just sits in the port area making a nucence of it self. Any idears on whats going on there?
@kermit30au the next time your cleaning her up pull the bolt and with your finger pull the extractor towards yourself and wipe off the residue that has probably collected in between the cracks. also check the spring to make sure its functioning as normal if that doesnt fix it let me know. and ill try and think of something else.
@CottenCandyFckTart Hey there mate. Your heading in the right direction with the bolt. I went to the local gun club near my house and others own this gun. Anyway I looked at their bolts and their ejector claws seem firmer than mine. We then examind that black spring thing holding them in and it seems to be the problem. My spring is not firm and not round...or roundish?? Anyway Im getting it sorted out very soon to see if it sorts it out. But its still shooting so well! Damn its accurate.
did you have to alter the stock for the bipod?, or did it just take removeing the sling swivel?, im actually getting one, in a few weeks, but honestly you have a nice set up with the scope and all, but the origanal stock could work for me to
@bigmike11214 nope it comes with hardware to mount a sling and the bipod just mounts right on the front loop. then you can reconnect the sling to the bipod. I hope you like the cz, I love mine. It looks alot different now.
@CottenCandyFckTart yea bro, i deffenently want to get one, thats cool that it comes with the hardware, what would be a good scope to put on that bad boy?, what your useing looks good, what modle is that ?
@bigmike11214 I took that scope off a while ago all I remember is its a 3x9x40 scope it did the job until I took the scope off of my cetme and put it on this little beast. the scope I'm rocking now is a barska 3.5x26x60 which is awesome until about 22x magnification then it gets hazy.
Hey there. Iv just purchased this gun this week and they are very well built. I have mine set simular to yours with a Harris bipod, x4 Olivon scope and sholder strap. I also got myself 6x 10round magazines as I do rabbit shooting. Only difference I got the model with the synthetic stock. We all know there are bigger and better guns about but as far as .22 goes these CZ are just wonderfull. Im very happy getting one as a first gun.
I bought my first Rimfire about a year ago and i opted for a Cz Varmint .22.
Most of my shooting is bunny bashing from a high seat and as you stated , for the money , you get a great gun and accurate too , straight out the box.
@freebeez123 I have a 5 round that came with it and a 10 round that i bought offline that works fantastically. i dont think they make any bigger sizes just a 1 a 5 and a 10 round mag.
Hey there. Iv heard these guns have a adaptation for single shot. Do you know anything about it? what it looks like? Someone told me its just a blanking bit that goes into the magazine slot thing? Shine some light please???
You ever hear of the Sako Finnfire... that's a fantastic rifle compared to the CZ... The original Czechoslovakian BRNO also shits all over the CZ's....
I'm not even going to get into the Anschutz rimfires
@Beaglone how much is the finnfire? how much is the anschutz? and please sr tell me honestly would you go hiking with those guns. cz 452 cost 250 -300 nowadays and i take it hiking every chance i get. and quit trolling i thought only kids did that. get a life or job or girl, well guy in your case.
@Beaglone so i present good points in a counter argument and how do you respawn, by saying im a child? and that I have no idea what Im talking about. Im 18 and have experienced more life than you ever will. Please find something better to do than harrase people. its realy immature. and seing how im from Bohemia and have a big ass rampant lion tattooed on my back i think i know a little about czech products.
Nice review, I own a CZ 452 American classic and I also own a SAKO Quad. The CZ is extrmely accurate but the SAKO is more accuarte. My SAKO QUAD out-shoots my CZ every time. At 100 yards with sub-sonic ammo, my CZ will shoot a 3/4" group but my SAKO will shoot a 1/5" - 1"3 inch group! I can't bring myself to sell my CZ because I love the look of it so much but the SAKO out classes it in terms of accuracy.
@hunkalov its a great gun. I still love taking it out to the range to show off. I'm actually in the process of buying a CZ 527. but I guarantee it wont let you down if you do buy one.
minute of angle, if you have a 1/4 MOA then after every 100 yards will be off by 1/4 at 200 its off by 1/2 at 300 off by 3/4.....and so on... so by me saying 1/2 at 50 yards is like 1 MOA
@cmnspwr ........yo know i hear that all the time yet ive never heard of any rifle actually failing to fire.....what of your guns have had this happen?
None of my rifles, as I don't dry fire them. Actually happened to a buddy of mine, right in front of my face on the range. He was shooting a 10-22, didn't realize the magazine was empty and dropped the hammer on an empty chamber and destroyed the firing pin. Believe what you want...
not stock but with an aftermarket barrel you can....I DON'T use a water bottle held on with electrical tape but if i did i can imagine it would be very quiet especially with subsonic rounds :)
i agree sako quad's are nice - extremely accurate but i know if i was out hunting i'd take the CZ. Also the Cz was the 1st gun i learnedon. i know what it have - CZ also they are not showy like a sako and loads of people where i shoot own them. i also wouldn't worry as much about damging the stock or anything like that. i personally have a ruger 10/22 but the cz is best .22 to buy
@Gonamez i think so.....it is a czech rifle so i think thats just "their" name for it but yea im pretty sure its the same. I noticed when i was buying rings for it, that the names "cz452 and brno mod2" go hand in hand
@freereloader1010 In my opinion it is a single shot + a det. mag. semis are gas blow back as well as autos but bolts are a different thing all together all gasses are used to fire the bullet. Then a cycle must take place "involving human interaction to cycle next round" hense single shot. I made a mistake in saying scout i meant to say millitary trainer version...thats seriously what there called haha
hey i guess you got me....then again barly anyone uses "gay" as it says in the dictionary...but if thats what it says about single shot, bravo you are the only person to win an argument on youtube
any gun from cz is going to be a great investment. the varmint is going to be a bit more pricey but worth it in the long run depending on what you plan on using it for id recommend 17 hmr or 22 mag.
i didnt say this and if i did its not from experience but i "heard" that a water bottle and some electrical tape at the end of a barrel with subsonic rounds does a good job.... so i hear..... ;)

don't worry mate CZ is a very well known company, at least in Europe although you're from the otherside of the pond right?

@MrWhitescarf yea but i think they are gaining some respect over here.

@hordo2 im glad to see cz's are getting known else where in the world, nice gun. and safe shooting
CottenCandyFckTart 1 year ago
did you have to alter the stock for the bipod?, or did it just take removeing the sling swivel?, im actually getting one, in a few weeks, but honestly you have a nice set up with the scope and all, but the origanal stock could work for me to
bigmike11214 1 year ago
@bigmike11214 nope it comes with hardware to mount a sling and the bipod just mounts right on the front loop. then you can reconnect the sling to the bipod. I hope you like the cz, I love mine. It looks alot different now.
CottenCandyFckTart 1 year ago
@CottenCandyFckTart yea bro, i deffenently want to get one, thats cool that it comes with the hardware, what would be a good scope to put on that bad boy?, what your useing looks good, what modle is that ?
bigmike11214 1 year ago
@bigmike11214 I took that scope off a while ago all I remember is its a 3x9x40 scope it did the job until I took the scope off of my cetme and put it on this little beast. the scope I'm rocking now is a barska 3.5x26x60 which is awesome until about 22x magnification then it gets hazy.

Just put a layby on one of these....light....fast to throw around......once I push a few through I come back for a comment!

Thanks for the review CottenCandyFckTart
I bought my first Rimfire about a year ago and i opted for a Cz Varmint .22.
Most of my shooting is bunny bashing from a high seat and as you stated , for the money , you get a great gun and accurate too , straight out the box.

Good review mate. What Magazine sizes can you get for it?
freebeez123 1 year ago
@freebeez123 I have a 5 round that came with it and a 10 round that i bought offline that works fantastically. i dont think they make any bigger sizes just a 1 a 5 and a 10 round mag.

@CottenCandyFckTart
Hey there. Iv heard these guns have a adaptation for single shot. Do you know anything about it? what it looks like? Someone told me its just a blanking bit that goes into the magazine slot thing? Shine some light please???
kermit30au 1 year ago
@kermit30au The single shot version of the 452 is the Scout model as mentioned in the video.

You ever hear of the Sako Finnfire... that's a fantastic rifle compared to the CZ... The original Czechoslovakian BRNO also shits all over the CZ's....
I'm not even going to get into the Anschutz rimfires
Beaglone 1 year ago
@Beaglone how much is the finnfire? how much is the anschutz? and please sr tell me honestly would you go hiking with those guns. cz 452 cost 250 -300 nowadays and i take it hiking every chance i get. and quit trolling i thought only kids did that. get a life or job or girl, well guy in your case.

When your balls drop you may be permitted to suggest I get a.... whatever your imagination comes up with.
Till then continue using your manhood for pissing only....
I'm going to discontinue commenting from now on since you at your tender pre-pubescent age are such an expert in all matters regarding the CZ...
Beaglone 1 year ago

I can't bring myself to sell my CZ because I love the look of it so much but the SAKO out classes it in terms of accuracy.

whats an MOA?
gshdrums 2 years ago
minute of angle, if you have a 1/4 MOA then after every 100 yards will be off by 1/4 at 200 its off by 1/2 at 300 off by 3/4.....and so on... so by me saying 1/2 at 50 yards is like 1 MOA
CottenCandyFckTart 2 years ago
Keep dry firing your rim fire and see what happens.
cmnspwr 2 years ago
haha i did it once and this isnt your POS remi or ruger its cz.....
CottenCandyFckTart 2 years ago
Regardless of brand, it will still fail.
cmnspwr 2 years ago
@cmnspwr ........yo know i hear that all the time yet ive never heard of any rifle actually failing to fire.....what of your guns have had this happen?
CottenCandyFckTart 2 years ago
None of my rifles, as I don't dry fire them. Actually happened to a buddy of mine, right in front of my face on the range. He was shooting a 10-22, didn't realize the magazine was empty and dropped the hammer on an empty chamber and destroyed the firing pin. Believe what you want...
cmnspwr 2 years ago
can you fit a silencer on the end of this cz ?
NIGHTSKYE1 2 years ago
not stock but with an aftermarket barrel you can....I DON'T use a water bottle held on with electrical tape but if i did i can imagine it would be very quiet especially with subsonic rounds :)
CottenCandyFckTart 2 years ago
In my opinion, you're very beautiful. ... er I mean ur voice is beautiful. Can you make some shooting videos?

Im slightly intrigued and a little creeped out but i have a few shooting vids with my cetme.....and ruger mk3 2/45

i know something more accurate - sako quad .22
JACK9519 2 years ago
@JACK9519 you have fun paying $1000+ for the same quality....... If you live in the ohio valley im willing to show up your "sako" .......
CottenCandyFckTart 2 years ago
i agree sako quad's are nice - extremely accurate but i know if i was out hunting i'd take the CZ. Also the Cz was the 1st gun i learnedon. i know what it have - CZ also they are not showy like a sako and loads of people where i shoot own them. i also wouldn't worry as much about damging the stock or anything like that. i personally have a ruger 10/22 but the cz is best .22 to buy
JACK9519 2 years ago
couldn't agree more
CottenCandyFckTart 2 years ago
Good review! Thanks!
One question. Is Cz 452 the same thing as Brno Mod 2?
Gonamez 2 years ago
@Gonamez i think so.....it is a czech rifle so i think thats just "their" name for it but yea im pretty sure its the same. I noticed when i was buying rings for it, that the names "cz452 and brno mod2" go hand in hand
CottenCandyFckTart 2 years ago
@CottenCandyFckTart That's great news, thank you!

I have a silenced 22lr in england where we are allowed silencer :P
It super silent.

@headphones222 must be nice......do you have to pay a tax for it or anything...thats where they get us here in the states its like $500+
CottenCandyFckTart 2 years ago
No over here you can have it for pest control or just hunting in general.
Deer hunting with suppresors is good because sometimes they just mill around all retarded like wut was that?? xD
BANG!

hey i have the same exact clock as you thatsin the backround, kinda weird! o.O
amariross212 2 years ago
i've got a scout and it isnt a single shot only gun, i have a five and ten round magazine for it.
it was my first gun that i got for my 10th birthday, still my favorite.
freereloader1010 2 years ago
@freereloader1010 i dno technically still single shot because of the bolt action it isent semi auto
shanehey 2 years ago
i dont think so. if it takes a functioning magazine, it is certainly not a single shot weapon.
freereloader1010 2 years ago
@freereloader1010 In my opinion it is a single shot + a det. mag. semis are gas blow back as well as autos but bolts are a different thing all together all gasses are used to fire the bullet. Then a cycle must take place "involving human interaction to cycle next round" hense single shot. I made a mistake in saying scout i meant to say millitary trainer version...thats seriously what there called haha
CottenCandyFckTart 2 years ago
Look up the technical definition:
"(of a firearm) requiring loading before each shot; not having or using a cartridge magazine."-dictionary(.)com
freereloader1010 2 years ago
That is of a single shot, of course.
freereloader1010 2 years ago
hey i guess you got me....then again barly anyone uses "gay" as it says in the dictionary...but if thats what it says about single shot, bravo you are the only person to win an argument on youtube
CottenCandyFckTart 2 years ago
Thanks.
i just cant refuse an argument...
it'll probably be my downfall.
freereloader1010 2 years ago
@freereloader1010 haha
CottenCandyFckTart 2 years ago
how would you compare this to the 452 varmint?
Airguncp 2 years ago
any gun from cz is going to be a great investment. the varmint is going to be a bit more pricey but worth it in the long run depending on what you plan on using it for id recommend 17 hmr or 22 mag.
CottenCandyFckTart 2 years ago
but then it wont be efective to use a silencer, or?
Airguncp 2 years ago
i didnt say this and if i did its not from experience but i "heard" that a water bottle and some electrical tape at the end of a barrel with subsonic rounds does a good job.... so i hear..... ;)
CottenCandyFckTart 2 years ago
good review!!!
