  • Bitter sweet. I miss Guiding Light but happy we have a funny parody like this to keep up cheered up. Thank you Marsha Clark and the cast and crew for these laughs! Much needed.

  • "When your child is old enough it will teach your child about sex." Love the disease where you can hear the voice overs. This is when Justin (Phillip's biological father) was married to Elizabeth (Phillip's adoptive mother). Love Justin wish he'd come back when Ben Warren was on. "She was covered in grape juice." Love the crash with Bert's volunteer cart. "When every one of your husbands have tried to murder you tension builds up."

  • This parody is great. Marsha Clark did a great job. I wonder what the date is for this though. It must have been done before the summer of 1980; I started watching the show around the summer of 1980 with the Kelly, Morgan and Nola storyline. I do remember some of these actors Did not realize Floyd had been on so much before Nola.

  • @bsheffer1 It was done in the fall of 1979, as a spoof for Christmas 1979 when headwriters Jerome & Bridget Dobson were leaving to go to ATWT & Doug Marland was to take over headwriting duties in January 1980.

  • After watching all seven parts, I have to say that I wish some of the other soaps had done something like this. This was howlingly funny in some parts! I especially love the "Ask Rita" ongoing joke! ;)

  • Notice the Christmas tree in the Cedars waiting lounge--so maybe this was done for the Christmas party 1979.

  • This is crazy! I have been laughing till I am crying. This is a classic gem.

  • This is hilarious! I read about Marsha Clark writing and producing this parody in a soap mag years ago. Some of the scenes are absolute classics! I've seen Marsha in stuff since GL and she is always wonderful, but I had no idea what a fabulous writer and producer she is!

  • "What if you come back black or a woman?" I guess this is the politically correct portion of the show. A lot of work went into this, for a Christmas party gag.

  • These are fantastic! Love That Marsha Clark! My guess is that these were taped around 1979 since the cast list and production crew seems circa 1979.

  • This is probably from late 1979 early 1980.

I like how they are using the Logo used from the early to mid 70's.

  • Early fall 1979, to be exact, due to the storyline hints thrown out throughout this video. Especially, Holly in prison, Roger in France & Lucille's stroke. Besides what coolwafferman likes, I love Zaslow's commercial both for where it takes place (the Wexler estate main house set -- since Roger would later marry Amanda, that's unintentionally funny) & also content, since Roger is known for his coming back from the dead!

  • This would have been better for April Fools' Day, since this would have made for a good April Fools' joke!
