@helen1434 thats how most other ignorant natives act towards us. im not sayin all hate us but alot act like trolls and still cry around bout the past and of course crows being scouts, one of the smartest things done was scout and befriend whites, 15 years or so prior to the battle of the little bighorn the sioux cheyenne and some arapaho tried to kill off the crow and i still dont understand how crows are the traitors...... but i aint hating on anyone either, i have all kinds of brothers

@rezsk8kyd then you are the bigger person for not letting it get to you and your showing those Natives of today that moving on in a good way is important and not showing hate, i have not heard of the Lakota Cheyenne and Arapaho trying to kill of the Crow so i cannot say anything on that, apart from if that is right then that saddens my spirit, but like all people it would not have been every single Lakota that thought that way

A few years ago while on holiday in portugal me and my wife saw a performance by two people dressed in traditional clothes, i spoke to one of them to ask where they were from,he said new mexico and his friend was from peru,so don,t know if they were true native indian.The tune they played was called "withe buffalo" to hear this and watch them dancing it reduced us both to tears! it was so haunting to witness, we bought a cd and play it continuos.Respect to all the native people of the plains!!!

Nope I tracked down my mother in Lincoln is her up bringing and I found her parents were also born in Red Cloud

Thanx, how about this one, My fathers real name was exposed to be Warfield, is their a land near nelson Nebraska or Missori named Warfield or did they possibly pick up this name during a civil war, I think my father was Blackfeet, German and possibly African American, due to my great grand mothers southern accent.

And did the Crows and Blackfeet war then Unite?

My mother was born in Nelson Nebraska is this Crow land?

sorry cant help you with that one with the location of Warfield im sure it should be easy to find out online somewhere, as far as i know the Crow And Blackfoot (Blackfeet) were always enemies but im not to sure i know more about the sioux and shoshone.if your mum was born in Nelson Nebraska and you think your father was of the Blackfoot tribe im surprised you have not learnt more. i know the Sioux lived around that area and the crow and blackfoot were more to the west of the sioux,

thanx , It was actually Lincoln Nebraska she was born, her great grandfather "Roby" was born in Red Cloud. I guess we are a bunch of birds. Her fathers Name, Duck Manion.

Any root to this chaos? They all were born somewhere in these areas, Nelson, Red Cloud, Lincoln, York, etc. Is this all Crow territory?

Hi there im sorry i havnt got a clue on how to find out your information i would think you would have more luck knowing these things since you live in America and i live in Scotland so i dont know where places are in the USA. and as for Crow territory i am unsure as i said i know more about the Sioux, but there is online that you can find out about Crow territory sorry i cannot be of more help but itis better to talk to someone who can give you proper information about the Crow.

well the crow all originally lived along the Missouri River but then they migrated to the area near the Rocky Mountains, they became Buffalo hunters when they got hold of horses, of course this would have peeved off the other tribes around which were the Sioux, Shoshoni, Kiowa, Pawnee,Arapaho, Comanche, so yes they must have went into the area as the crow did end up fighting the Sioux and other tribes over the buffalo
