Well, I finally couldn't stand it and had to purchase/download this song from iTunes. I have the version from "The Essential Leonard Cohen" album. I think it's the same as this version. The live performance I heard in St.Louis was perhaps not as depressive, but was more seductive IMHO. What I liked is the tenor sax part played by Dino Soldo. Very sensual, more so than any recording I've heard. Still sends chills thru me.
