  • i had this dream that the major was beating the crap out of me at a boxing match. it has nothing to do with the song, its just interesting i guess

  • I like the movies and the series... even if sometimes the Major and Batou are as arrogant as like some damn nazis.

  • Agh!!!!!!! She looks exactly like my ex girlfriend! *dies*

  • @zombieday333 ......i just dont know what to say.....your girlfriend was robotic? or had purple hair? or was a real fem-dom? ....just trying to imagine what she would look like in real life

  • @zombieday333 Fucking gayest comment ever.

  • @zombieday333 go die in a hole.

  • @Croak80 Why?

You want me to die, when she just reminds me of a bad girl friend I use to have?

  • @zombieday333

Chill out on this guy, his ex used to look kind of like the Major. Big fucking deal.

  • "Network" (1976) has a similar theme, won 4 Academy Awards, and is the best film ever made. Network, - the Net, - Matrix. Get it? Network was merely the precurser of groupthink gone bad. Check out this excerpt: youtube's "The New World Order according to Arthur Jensen. " He is talking to Howard Beale, his employee, the number One rated newsman in the world...telling him what to think.

Guess what? Now we all think it.

  • genius and inspiring....i want to be like that some day.

  • i like watching G.I.T.S. great hit anime

  • 1:29 Hotttt god i love motoko!!! :3

  • I first saw this how when I was a kid, and I totally didn't understand it. Rewatched it a few years later, made a world of difference.

  • @21dragon Yeah this isn't the anime for kids because I was the same way but after rewatching it I saw how good it was.

  • @heroeofthepeople That's because it's a seinen anime, you noob; it's literally not meant for kids.

  • That first picture made me shiver when I saw it the first time in motion...

  • never will holywood be even comparable to anime/manga writers.

and it can't because, holywoods' role is like POPs role:

    red shoes, sex, money, eating.

  • @xbr123

agreed ! holywood totally sux :3

    Anime/Manga is way better :)

  • @xbr123 Right, who could forget the well written anime gems such as Seikon no Qwaser, Strike Witches, and Inuyasha. Not all popular movies are poorly written, you tool and if you'd get out of your mother's basement more than twice a month you'd see that. 500 Days of Summer was a well written Hollywood movie and it came out just a year ago.

  • @Knarf009 well, I have never said "ALL MOVIES". My stress point is on the role which holywood must play.

And no, I don't live in the basement :)

    happy day

  • @xbr123 When you say the writers for Hollywood movies could never compare to anime/mange writers then you're saying ALL MOVIES, since one well written movie would prove the statement wrong. And your point on the role Hollywood movies play is just as bogus as your initial statement. A movie like Star Wars, which was one of the highest grossing Hollywood films of all time, has nothing to do with what you're saying. You're just making ignorant generalizations about the film industry.

  • @Knarf009 you are just too serious :)

When I am saying the sky is blue it does not mean that sky actually exists.

I am sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused you.

    happy filming.

  • Is this a movie or a anime show? I haven't watch it yet I heard is good.

  • @Oo2k10

it's both, this is from the series, I never watched that.

But I've seen both the movies, and they were awesome.

  • @Oo2k10 its both

  • are ther English subtitles/captions for this amazing song?

  • are ther English subtitles/captions for this amazing song?

  • omg i love this song and especialy when she owned the guy in the foot

  • omg I Love this song. this aweseome

  • what is the name of this song?anyone know the name plz?

  • Stamina Rose yoko kanno/gabriela robin

  • "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

  • the best anime , the top

  • Great stuff, although I didn't understand all of it (no, I don't watch american idol and similar shit). I will watch it again soon, and also read a bit on wikipedia :D

  • Best anime out there by far

Compelling story line that links into so many other things (laughingman > catcher in the rye)

A true master piece, lets hope they bring out another film ._.

  • Not to mention the names of the songs are suggestive to the themes of the show.

    Example:

Velveteen, a reference to The Velveteen Rabbit, a children's story with similar themes questioning what's "Real."

  • Yea. Definitely one of my favs. I love Cowboy Bebop because of the similarities in the art and the great music. I think the same artist did both movies.

  • not questioning your opinion but i got lost in the story, and i cannot find the connection with it for catcher in the rye

  • he's reading the freaking book in the anime itself what more of a connection do you need xD

  • did you read the book? were the metaphor connection

  • one of my most favorite songs from GITS! b(^-^)d

  • i love this this song come by the first episode

  • i still dont know how people can watch the movie and not understand it...

    a true masterpiece

  • @otakujosh well ppl that didnt watch the previous sesasons or read the manga might be a bit confused and dont understand wtf there looking at there :)

  • @gonfley why would they then search for this video then?

  • @otakujosh we don't we accidentally find one of the videos and go "this is awesome!" and look for more videos.... :)

  • @otakujosh Yeah I watched the movie and I didn't get shit...

  • @otakujosh the movies got me when I was a bit younger lol

  • More and more, however, we find ourselves lost in the seductive trance and ease of technological simplification as a tool for building societies. +++++

I believe you have a valid point, but the fact that we are becoming dependent on the Internet and electricity as a society maintainer, and conforming to boundaries around those ideas, enables me to stress the importance of this to not be discarded as merely a phase of human societal evolution.

  • i am thinking,so i am

  • I watched the whole 2nd GIG season a few months back in one day and the story line is stunning I've never seen any movie with such a good story line. Who ever wrote the story to Ghost in The Shell is a genius.

  • Uhm, I believe that would be Masanori Ota, a.k.a. Masamune Shirow.

  • Very true, but you can go so much more in depth with a TV show, compared to a movie.

The problem is that people limit their movies, to 2 hours.... That's why I like the long 3 hour ones.

    :P

  • I was about 10 when i first watch Ghost in the shell on Sci fi and was amazed of the story line even to this day It is Still incredibly brilliant.

Yet before the film it was comic.

  • @JimTheMingebag

shirow masamune is the man behind ghost in the shell... and yes - he's a genius...

  • @illidanwashere772

    you say so why...?

  • Comment removed

  • @illidanwashere772

looks like you keep looking at the erotic parts yourself and fail to notice the toys, weapons, storyline and the fact that the motoko is a cyborg... looks like you're a closet pervert yourself... all the guys that denounce stuff like this are indeed closet perverts and hypocrites... please don't tell me you're one of them...

  • @illidanwashere772

you get a boner for gits...? that's pathetic...!!! what''ll happen when you watch hentai...?

  • @RAGHUVARVASUDEV a trip to the hospital

  • @JimTheMingebag Shirow Masamune

  • @JimTheMingebag Shirow Masamune

  • @JimTheMingebag damnit... i meant to say thumbs up... but I clicked the wrong button.... but I agree with you. This series was by far one of the best Anime I have ever seen in my life

  • @JimTheMingebag And not only that, but the musical selection compliments the story beautifully.

  • @JimTheMingebag Ghost in the Shell was originally created by Masamune Shirow, but Stand Alone Complex was written by Kenji Kamiyama.

  • Ghost in the shell and SAC´BSOs are really amazing!!

  • Awesome song!!! Loved every second of it!

  • I wonder how long will it take for our society to reach the same level of technological advances as of those in the anime.

  • Let me introduce you to the TED Convention, Fraunhofer, engadget. They are among many other websites and labs you can look to for tomorrow's innovations.

  • Just look at any pice of science fiction more than 10 years old. We've got no faster than light spaceships, but almost every other technology is allready available. It just needs to be perfected to be more precise and less expensive. But the basics are all there.

  • I REALLY need to sit down and watch this show! I can't get into it, but I hear it's just the best anime ever! I need to watch this! :O

  • Well, I started watching it because of the same situation you are in, but I couldn't make it past episode 3, it just bored the hell out of me. I know it's wrong of me to say that 'causs I haven't seen it all, but I'd give it your best shot if I were you, try to hold on for the first episodes if you decide to watch it :p

  • yeah the first couple episodes are realy just story line but after you get past tthat its when the show takes off but personaly the movies are a bit better

  • Really? Well I'll go watch it again then, thanks for the motivation!

  • Ghost In The Shell

A (fucking good awesome amazing) classic ?

  • yes

  • Indeed.

    Best there is.

  • good music

  • Comment removed

  • She sure is pretty =) But I love Ghost in the Shell, it is the only animé that I have ever really gotten into!

The man who draws Kusinagi said something like "I like drawing her naked, it's better than drawing a man's ass!"

  • 2 more things , the majors skimpy clothing/nudity has a rather obvious reason , its the name of the anime :P its just a shell. this was mostly used in the first film where no one, including her self, cared that she was naked other then Batou(who had his reasons!).

2ndly with the SAC series there are no "filler" imo :p if you think its filler its probably character developement, the skinner ep is batou developement, with links all the way to the end of the 2nd series (rangers + CIS ops)

  • Gits doesnt stray from the puppeteer story line , rather the first 2 series -create- the puppeteer, a 3rd stand alone complex formed from the previous 2. the manga works in the same way (minus the SAC's, as that was a creation of that production team ) with the puppeteer only being a background theme while the other plots are woven around it. the first film is a condensed version of the manga's puppeteer with the other plots cut out or rearranged and some interesting extras added by the staff.

  • I watched the anime. It has lots of things going on, a rich and complex story line, believeable characters and well drawn scenes. All I can say is that she has a great rack.

  • Actually the entire series, from Gits to SSS are interrelated, also they are in cronological order. As for Motoko wearing revealing clothing is in her nature, she was however quite the exebitionist in GitS, an appealing attribute to some, not so much to others. Actually it should not matter if she wears clothes or not when camoflauged, or wear revealing clothing for that matter. Aramaki actually askes Motoko that question in the SAC series, you'll find her answer there...

  • I love this song!! , Ghost in the shell s.a.c rocks

  • It's funny how no one questions why she wears such revealing clothes.

  • I always wondered why

I made my own assumption, that it was how the humans could tell who was human, and who was...cybernetic..

Sorry if I got the term wrong..

Haven't watched the movies, and only watched about a third of Stand Alone Complex, and that was like...4 years back...

If anyone can advise me a good site to watch the series and movies on, please do tell me

    Thanks

  • In the original film i thought she had to be naked for her camouflage to work.

Since they talk about section 9 being the only ones using that type of camo, and the fact that all the people who wear clothes while they're camouflaged are still slightly visible and the major is completely invisible.

  • A good site to watch GitS is Zomganime

    Look it up.

This will probably be marked as spam! :D

  • thanks :)

  • The movies aren't releated with the S.A.C series the only one that goes with the series is the S.S.S movie =)

  • Isnt a series just a really big movie broken down into smaller parts? well that was a laymen way of explaing it but i hope you get the jist of what i said ^__^

  • I wouldn't think of GitS like that on account of how many episodes stray from the main puppeteer. story line.

The one that comes to mind for me is the one where Batou tracks down that guy who cuts people's skin off.

    (Favorite Filler) :)

  • i love that episoide

  • great song *__*

  • oh ya so mysterious

  • the films and series on television are set in alternate universes like Okilxo0 said. Ghost in the Shell is set in 2029 and Ghost in the Shell 2 takes place 3 years later in 2032. However, the sac complex starts off in the year 2030. Also the SAC series follows the manga more than the movie. So it's SAC in 2030 then they got disbanded in 2031 then 2032 2nd gig series starts. Also between the 2nd gig and solid state is when kusonagi resigned. After that solid state movie took place on 2034

  • hmm in my opinion, the first movie came first (obviously). then innocence. and to me it makes some sense that the kusanagi in the series is her with a new body, since she didnt have one during the second one and was just roaming the net(loosing her first in the original, etc.)

could be possible that they are different "universes", but isn't as appealing, cuzz i think of Bato and them all knowing the major originaly from the first movie, and newly in the series. i hope i make sense :P

  • Can someone help me to understand the sequence of all the story in the Ghost in the shell

for me that make sence is

    GIS - Stand alone complex

    GIS - 2nd GIG

    GIS - Solid state

    but how about the movie

Ghost in the shell the movie

Ghost in the shell the movie - Innocence

Where this movie fit into the beginning?

    can someone tell me?.

  • The anime (GIS-Stand Alone Complex, GIS - 2nd GIG, GIS - Solid State) and the movies (Ghost In The Shell The Movie, Ghost In The Shell The Movie 2 - Innocence) are set in different universes. So there are are no link between each other.

  • I mean the third picture ;)

  • The third would be so cool if she wouldn't wear those glasses

  • I have an unmodded version of that pic if you are interested I could send it to you.

  • needs way more pics.

  • If they just removed the lame sexism from her clothes she could actually be tons cooler :D

  • yeah!!!!

  • true, true. when i started watching SAC it was actually hard to focus on the plot ;)

  • What's wrong with her clothes? The half-jacket that she rocks in certain episodes makes her look killer awesome. Her personality oozes sexyness and confidence, so why would her clothing be any different?

Poker Face episode. Motoko couldn't get no sexier. I'd birth her children. :D

  • I think they were talking about first season of SAC, where she wears the bikini bottom. It was a little silly =D

  • Naw that's exactly what I'm talking about. The ones with the stockings and shit. Her appearance IMO is totally different when she's rocking the shades and jacket. I'm certain if I head to Tokyo right now, I'll find a girl rocking custom made Motoko garb. And she'll rock that shit like it was Tuesday. The closest to that you'll find here will be a cosplay party or comicon/otaku.

  • haha, i know girls that would dress up like that (cosplay.) it would be funny if it weren't also really sad and a pathetic cry for attention.

  • Sad or pathetic, let me find a BONAFIDE chun-li cosplayer; SHE WILL GET THE BUSINESS.

  • hehe, i can't deny it would be kinda hot :)

cosplay is cool for halloween or something like that i guess.

  • i cant find much action music

    ilike the song

  • Most of the songs made for Ghost in the Shell is composed by Yoko Kanno.

  • I love the major.

  • nice job..... Major rules!!

  • ya... really showie clothes tho (-_-) my lil cousins expretion wen he saw her was so hilarious

  • Cool

  • great sounds and good pics. Btw, can you tell me where you got the 3rd pic from? Would like to have it in a better resolution.

  • So guys i hope for More Episode from This wounderfully Anime :=,

but any now a internatinal Forum of Gits or German forum ?

  • Excelent music. Masamune Shirow rulez !!.

    Mata ne!. See ya!. Saludox

  • the last pic is the best^^

  • nah i like the second

  • nice vid nice music
