  • I love how that guy conducts!

  • damn.....relax a little and one more thing......I CANT HEAR YOU!!!!!!! SHOUT IT!

  • When I was young in the late 80's to early 90's. We had a movie with a family on a sailboat and they all sing this song on the deck. They find a boy who stowed away on the boat. The boat sinks in a storm and they get stranded on an island. Does anyone know the name of it?

  • If you like sea chanteys, search for this string on you tube for few more: "sea chantey bellport"

  • Ya'll sounded good, but it sounds better when the singers are at least a little drunk.

  • Very interesting variant :D

  • the faces the guy in the khaki trousers makes is actually hilarious.. i dont even know how i came to watch this vid.. haha

  • That was fucking interesting now lets brake out the booze and Sing it!

  • Shiver me timbers & make me walk the plank! Arrrr... it's me favorite sea chanty! Tis a fine group of boys here! Puts me in the mood to have another tankard of grog! Blast! Me parrot has just pooped on me shoulder again....it's me dry cleaning bills that have driven me to be a pirate! Avhast there...I THANK YE for sharing this toe-tapper with me & me crew of salty sea dogs. All we need now is a group of comely wenches to dance with...and who won't mind peg legs & eye patches. ARRRRRR !!!!

  • Aye me hearty! I be likin' yer spirit there. Whats say you that we trim them sails, grab us bottles of rum and grog, and follow'er that sun as up she rises ear-ly in the mornin'! All in fave'r...

    AYE!!!!!

  • @DisneyMagicDreamer85

Avast there, matey! You can count on me! I've got me hornpipe & mouth organ all ready! But I be not drinkin' rum of late. I prefer vodka mixed with Milk of Magnesia. I call 'em Phillips Screwdrivers!! ARRR! Let us set sail over the bounding main! We be the most bodacious bucaneers on the foamy brine! ARRRR!

  • Entertaining, interesting and funny. I like it very much!

  • No No SING IT LIKE ITS SUPPOSED TO BE SUNG IDIOTS!!!

  • Maybe they're trying to let the sailor sleep....;-D

  • its kinda good but it does not sound like the actual song

  • sounds good technically spoken.

But for the song.. seriously.. get 'em more drunk and rough..

  • nice :D

  • it's good! but indeed it sounds too soft and gracious for that kind of song lol

  • It's really good, I'm impressed. I think it could do with being a little louder.. It feels a little "soft" for a Drunken Sailor rendition.

  • True... this song doesn't seem the type to be professionally sung in a choir... maybe if they were all drunk...

  • i like it

  • Not bad, but this song can be perfomed much more better

  • Penn, I am an old combat sailor. You have no idea how many times I have been drunk in a foriegn port. Yes, we do drink. Because we know what we have to do when on station. Drinking let's us blow off steam. We can't drink at sea. Let us drink at land!!!!=Stefan=

  • This was inspired! Especially the end where the guy fell down!

Now, what should they do with a drunken choir boy? LoL

  • i like this... good job chaps

  • ah..really really fine ..

  • Awesome(L)

  • Subscribed this is amazing. But the first 1/3 is awesome and the rest seems to just drag on , but then comes back right at the very end.

  • Excellent! really nice version even if it has nearly nothing to do with the original intention of this song...

  • Actually not that bad LOL

  • Eww... how dare they turn a pirate song into a sailor tune!

  • lol u should hear the kids version its wierd

  • Why would anyone turn a perfectly good hornpipe into a post-modern American musical number?

  • very funny! and cool arrangement! still im looking for a reall good traditionall version, a slower and less danceable version of it (does that make sens?^^)

  • Yup

    watch mike settle's version

type mike settle drunken sailor into the search and its the top one

Not meaning to take any of the glory away from these guys tho

    There awsome love it ^_^

I think they coulda done with a bass voice tho

    Just my opinion

  • poofters version?

  • great job guys! I love when people say how a song is "supposed to be". Because they wrote it right!?

  • very good, love the "re-working", still keeping the traditional feel. very enjoyable!

  • This song really shouldn't have a choral arrangement. It's meant to be a hard working song, not something like this.

  • the idea of this song is that it is an original arrangement and that is rare in the modern music industry

  • brilliant love this version even better that they kept the olde lyrics "erli in the morning" very spiritual you almost feel conected with the old sailor men espeshaly on a wet dull day

  • Lends a really haunting quality to a normally rough piece. Very nice.

  • they say earl-eye, i read that in some lyrics.

  • Way too Legatto.

Sounds more like WHAT SHAL WE DO

    WITH A DRUNKEN HAIRDRESSER!

Less Sweet & More Grit Fellas.

    Great Voices Though.

  • I agree Shango, needs more bite, more grit in the sound. I'd try to start off with the energy you ended up with, even when it's soft ya gotta spit those words out. But hey, nice pitch and good job staying together!! Very good!

  • I love that song, and you guys just did it brilliantly.

  • Great song! Beautifully done! But why do they say "earlei" instead of "early"?

  • sailor speak

  • or maybe just Irish...

  • great act you makie it fun for kids and adulst because its quality

  • great act you makie it fun for kids and adulst because its quality

  • awesome

  • What arrangement is this?

  • Pretty sure it's the Robert Shaw Choral Series version, cuz i believe this is the same arrangement my chorus is about to do. Hope it sounds as good as this!

  • this is amazing! good job =).

  • this is so awesome!! xD

especially the last loud chorus. gets u all pumped!

  • Cantus, a small group from MN do an excellent version of this song.

  • awesome!

  • This is the best version I've heard of this song. The version I did with my SATB Chorus was boring, but this was fun and exciting. Thanks

  • Now this is a sea chantie!!!!!=Stefan=
