That might be the american point of view, but not european. In Europe, people are usually defined by their ethnicity and it's not racist. If someone is born in Germany and living in Germany but has Chinese ancestry he is Chinese living in Germany. Simple as that. That's mainly because European countries are more traditional and we never had a history of population by immigration unless those populations were european.

People do not consider the relationship between France and its former colonies in Africa and how this is the reason you see so many blacks playing for France.
There are many African born players in MLS and on the national teams (meaning different age groups), but for different rasons. The US lets Africans immigrate. The US is not trying to import African players like Freddie Adu.
Many of the comments here are over-simplifications.

Well first off what I meant about the ruining parts was meant for club level because all of the rich countries just buy good players so thats not fair. I do get suprised about it because if you look at african, asian, middleastern teams they only have players from one ethinicity, much dif compared to europe . However if you believe it shouldnt be that way then they shouldnt even be called the french team because they're no more french then the team they're facing.

Soccer takes alot of endurance, as in football you get 3 good break and a mess of times out. In soccer once you pull a player for another, that player must stay out. Soccer by far more exciting then football.. but i must say i am a big Titans fan and Packers!

The only time soccer players endure the same level of impact as most football players is when they throw hissy fits and start head butting each other, rofl... Football players are constantly running towards eachother at full force, the entire purpose of a single play is to knock the other guy's lights out. And steroids has rarely ever been in an issue in professional football, especially not since the 1970s.

first of all, dumbass, football is spelled the same in french and english, and football is is more widely accepted around the world in place of soccer. second of all one half of a soccer match is only 3 minutes shorter than an entire football game in highschool. and last, i am AMERICAN and ive played both sports.
