I recently purchased an IronStorm and a summit board. I have tried to connect to the board using the terminal window from the arduino IDE and everything seems ok until I reach the overo login. I type in root but nothing happens. Could this be because I am using the arduino terminal? Also, when I plug in an HDMI to my monitor all I get is lines, mostly blue, with some characters as if it repeatedly tried to display something a little below the last. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
did you ever run into issues with the mouse/keyboard connected to the hub? When I do the same process I get stuck when the gumstix wants me to use my mouse. Are you running mini usb ->mini usb cable for hub2gumstix?

I'm using Hyperterminal now and that fixed the first problem but I am still stuck with the lines when I connect to a monitor.

@YasStrAki I recommend that you try on the Gumstix mailing list. That's where all the experts and technical support guys hang out.

@havi0003 Yes, I believe it is a mini-A to mini-B cable.
