I find Gov. Granhol infuriating... if people loved what was being done with their healthcare in Massachusettes, why vote for a candidate who could become the swing vote against a similar Federal level implimentation...
For the government to stimulate job growth through targeted spending, they have to first tax the money out of the private sector. And that taking of money out of private hands reduces job growth - and typically by an amount larger than the gain from the stimulus. In other words, there is no benefit to a government's attempt at creating jobs in this way. A separation of state and economy is a better approach.
I don't know where a guy from a state with over 20% unemployment thinks he can lecture on healthcare. Also, the 2003 Perscription Drug bill that the Republicans passed was passed using reconciliation so that it couldn't be fillibustered.
