ANIMAL STYLE. SHE IS OBVIOUSLY GREAT. PERSONALLY ARMS CONFUSE ME ON MY BELLY S WATCHING. I PREFER FIRST PLACE TO BELLY AND HIPS IF WE WANT TO WATCH ADMIRE AND LEARN. I PREFER ARMS IN VERY SECOND PLACE. ANY WAY SHE S GOT A PERSONAL STYLE AND LOTS OF TALENT.
why do ppl talk sh1t about someone sharing their talent, she's great and who cares about the oil I thought we are here tosee her dancing that's her choice to put on some oil on her body whatever her reason is. If she is a mother with stretch marks and chooses not to show them than fine. Actually i think the oil makes her look sexier :) .. GREAT TALENT
her technique is amazing. what I also like about her is she is engaged with music and it comes through how much she enjoys the dancing. loved seeing her live performance in Cairo last year, she always smiles and lightens up the room - a true bellydancer.
Interesting to see in your info that she claims to never have been trained in Oriental. I find it quite believable. In fact, I have a theory, that you can train a very strong and exquisite Oriental dancer without any actual Oriental training... by just training them in ballet and folkloric Arab dances and showing them videos and performances by Oriental dancers and exposing them to the music and musicality.
In Randa's case of course she grew up in a place where "belly dance" (as beledi) is pretty normal and is done socially so she grew up with it. So she already absorbed the culture, the music, the dance, the musicality, the expression... In that kind of environment what one needs most in regards to formal dance training for Oriental is folkloric and ballet training. It's no wonder she's such a great dancing.
@cinty12 Adding to DinaVienna response, El Touba (means Giving up or Quit), lyrics by Abdel Rahman El Abnoudy and music composed by Baligh Hamdy (who married Warda) and sang by Abdel Halim Hafiz. This particular version is specific to Randa's CD with even added Tabla player in the background.
if she wants to hide it though, she can still wear a costume,Egyptian style ones with the dress like appearance, they can look even better than bra and belt cus they have good details now, fringes and stuff ,that shake just as dramatically as majority of bra and belt costumes.
She's a great dancer, but I really don't like that body. It's unnatural, especially (obviously) her breasts. Also this is the first bellydancer I've seen that uses oil on her body like a greek wrestler.
@MLFive for the oil: don't hate on the girl, she uses it to conceal stretch marks from a pregnancy on her tummy :) she uses oil and glitter, and I heard someone say the stretchmarks are visible when seeing her without the wrestler touch, but not with it :))
@dinavienna I don't care if she uses oil, glitter or whatever she wants to use. I dont care if she has stretch marks either. I wonder why people are so superficial and malicious and judgemental of others. I love the way she dance and that's it. Also, i dont care if she elevate her brest up to her head, if she feels confortable with that who I am to said otherwise , right?
@228suhaila I agree. I don't care a bit whether she has stretch marks, but I can understand if she herself is conscious of them and prefers to hide them.
@MLFive I love Randa's dynamism. A body type can be shaped through training. It's a dancer's choice. Since this is an aesthetic art, it's most important to come out as pleasant as possible. So, it's good to hear personal opinions. For the oil... it is distracting. If it is for the stretch marks, makeup would so a better job with foundation, powder and glitter to conceal it.
ah this version of her dancing el touba, is different to other versions she has taught and on dvd workshops... like a TRUE dancer, she is not going to repeat the same routine over and over to boredom!! lol, you have to change bits on the moment to make it live & fun she is partly improvised here and not a rigid choreo....Love this version the best than the workshop dvd I have!!
thanks for sending me the invite to this video. she is a really great dancer! her moves are both sharp and fluid, and she has the perfect hips for all those moves too. I can tell why you like her so much! :D 5/5 from me.
