  • I luv sape music & the org ulu's dance since childhoods. Is there any sape instrument on sale in market now especially the electronic type? During local exhibition most of the sape on sale is a toy one..heeehee...any good comment where to get/purchase one ?... tq.

  • Reminds me of my grandfather when i was little......so peaceful! Can't give enough love to my Dayak's back home in Borneo, my motherland! Peace......kashi Sape!

  • Glad I was able to bring back such memories!

  • i juz wan to knowwherecan i downloadall about sapeh instruments?

  • I wish you people the best and hope you will develop your sapeh music and sapeh instruments further. Somehow, the sapeh has a very romantic and mystic twang to it. I'm chinese, and I'm in love with the sound of it.. the sapeh. Can you people also play to pop tunes? That would be very nice too!

  • That twang is very entrancing, isn't it? Especially when you have that continuous droning note carrying the sound.

  • Yeah! Someday soon, we will hope to see you sapeh players as stars on stage in concert halls and stadiums crooning out love songs and pop in all kinds of beat. Wow, that would be the ultimate for Borneo music!

  • ayy, SAPE is originally played by the Kayan & kenyah tribe ryte..???

but today, i'm not suprised if the western or european play the SAPE...

Jennifer, how much iz a standard SAPE complete with pick-ups cost??...for a local ppl not tourist price ;)
