Fairtax sounds great -- and if it worked anything like that, wonderful.
But its based on purposely deceptive math. It pretends to "Make the federal government a major taxpayer" Page 148.
In fact, much of the taxes FT claims it can collect -- it can not. The tax on the government is just one example.
Because of that - -the real math would be a national sale tax, to replace all others, would be over 60%.
So nice pretend idea -- but its deceptive and Fairtax leaders know it.
