  • DA are in fact the Christian Beatles. They were one of the few really cutting edge Cristian musicians both musically and lyrically. I have every one of their CD's and they run the spectrum of musical genre, from straightforward rock 'n roll to backwoods hillbilly country; from serious ballads to hideously funny lyrical chaos. The phrase genius is overused but in this case it's an understatement. Thank you TST, DA, Eddies, Lost Dogs and Gene Eugene (you are sorely missed).

  • You're right... I goofed... I meant Terry Scott Taylor... I'm a fan of both Steve Taylor and Terry Scott Taylor... guess I had a senior's moment! I do still have some of Terry Scott Taylor's solo work (in cassette) and I still own most of the DA LPs, including the album above.

  • I don't follow the flock anymore myself, but I still love "DA." Saw them twice, a great band that doesn't get enough kudo's for their excellent music.

  • I have this album on audio cassette. Wonderful band. Plus, my parents and I saw Daniel Amos in concert July 8, 2009.

  • I still have all my Daniel Amos albums. I couldn't bear to part with them. Steve was such a creative guy.

  • @kgarreffa -

The only Steve ever to be a member of Daniel Amos was Steve Baxter - who left the band shortly after the release of their first eponymous album. While Steve may be a creative guy, the creative demiurge behind Daniel Amos has always been Terry Scott Taylor ...

Are you possibly mixing up DA with Steve Taylor (who I think is also a genius - but is unrelated to Terry)?

  • I love this one!!!!!

  • This is a great track to listen to while baked.

  • I'm a former Baptist and present atheist, and I still want this album.

  • @kingofgrief How could you forfeit eternal life? What could atheism hold for you that is worth your soul in eternity?

    Thanks for your reply, Ken

  • @shilohrenovation My beliefs are not open to discussion. Thank you.

  • @shilohrenovation Who wants to live forever? Which (eternal life) is a lie anyway...

  • i miss when christian music was social critique instead of just the same cliche praise and worship. cant christian music have something to say about christianity and society itself without being typically moralistic and right wing? yes it could and it was daniel amos.

  • Great Funk Rock meets Surf and New Wave!!!!!!

  • Rox

  • one of my fave DA tunes.
