I'm glad your showing your losses unlike others. I too had losses on that day and was beating myself over it over the weekend. I thought it was my watch list but after analysing it realised I did everything right.
Yes, my experience exactly. Nothing was working that day, so write it off as a day that will always be like that and limit your size and losses. Wait for the day that you can pounce with conviction, take advantage of a real market move to get ahead and pay for the crappy days.
dang guys, I am glad someone else struggled cause I got dominated. 2nd day of real trading and lost all my profits from the day before. Great vids Steve! love your work.
Thanks for posting this. Handling down days and risk management are a massive part of the trading game. Well done on sticking to your downside cutoff.
To be perfectly honest (I know it might sting) but seeing the losing trades is also very educational. Maybe you could show 1 or 2 of them? They're probably perfect setups but just edges that failed but watching the trade management would be awesome.
One of the only honest guys i've seen here on you tube. Harvey Walsh never loses, he only wins, every day...or...at least...every day he posts a video.
I'm very happy that you showed us this. Not because you lost money, but because your honest and your a real human. I've been watching you a lot lately and it makes me feel more comfortable knowing that your real. Meaning you lose some and you win some just like everybody else. Also, I've been trying to get in touch with lightspeed and its kind of tough to get a response out of them.
You are not alone good sir... I usually get on the treadmill, listen to some good music, go walk the dog. Limiting losses and using discipline I think might be the holy grail...
Given the pattern of recent weeks where certain times of the day have a higher probability of a rally, and given the massive turnaround this week it is understandable that you would look for longs at certain points. I too was going long here and there only to be stopped out almost every time, just when I capitulate the market turns around and rallies (from around 3 to 330 pm) - would have gotten square but ended up losing. Fridays always seem to be tough.
It's funny (or sad) my day was the same. Got close to $500 down but worked back to about $300 thanks to MRK and SGP on their way back up late PM. Thanks as always for the videos. You're the man!

This is probably the first time see ANYONE show us that they actually lost money and hit their stop limit. Very brave. Thank you for sharing with us.

Soon. Everything takes longer than you think. It will start simple and grow from there. Don't expect too much at first ;-)

I agree on watching the losing trades. I will try to hit record and show some more of those. I understand they can be beneficial.
