  • I've been looking all over for tips on flush setting and came across your great tutorial. I tried it with a 3mm moonstone cabochon in a (flat) silver earring and failed! Made the hole + burr but just could not shift the metal around the stone to set it. The stone kept jumping out AND I made such a mess of the surrounding silver with the bezel pusher and burnisher! Any more tips?! metal not thick enough? (18G) . I wanted the stone to look like a dew drop with no bezel. Any tips? Thanks! Jules

  • what happened to the sound?I can't hear any talking

  • When you are making the bezel setting will you spend a little more time on that and tell what kind of store we can find the supplies in. ~ Also making a basil connection..

  • This soccer mom can use her flex shaft on me ; )

  • Wow I love your work. I've been looking for places to buy cheap metal, copper, silver, etc. To make jewelry I live in Brooklyn about 20 minutes from Manhattan dio you know any where I could find supplies?

  • Thread Banger!

  • Diamonds arent even naturally a precious gem. The market is controlled by deBeirs. Many precious metals like silver, and even gems like diamonds are obtained almost completely by workers in third world countries that die very young because of their work in the mines.

  • That's so true thank you for reminding us. :)

  • For you? Anytime sweet cheeks ; )

  • The truth about diamonds is getting out at last! You forgot to mention that since De Beers stockpile diamonds to keep the price artificially high, this actually perpetuates or even CREATES the problem of confict diamonds. A disgusting & morally Inexcusible practice by the De Beers cartel.

    Don't buy diamonds, they're poison!!

  • Yeah blood diamonds, pretty sad indeed, kind of puts all these silly rappers in to perspective. When you think of countries such as spain raping the south americas for their resources you tend to think of it as being in the past. This is not at all the case, its still pretty much the same , only now its a huge steady operation, not just some guys on horses.

  • metal chick???? what is metal about her...i thought i was going to see some hot young girl with tattoos or somthing and when i start seeing this i see a martha stewart look alike??? what is going on here?

  • Metal for us refers to silver, gold, and platinum - not metal music!!!

  • Gotcha...makes since now...but when people see your name im pretty sure thats what they automatically assume ...maybe you should think of a better name....Or maybe just get a new show..i dont know but just a suggestion...

  • I'm sure lots of people would agree with you. But since this channel is about jewelry and metal is an integral part of jewelry making (and I am a "chik"), I think we'll stick with "metalchik"! As for an additional show, sure I'm open to it! Send us your ideas! And thanks for writing.

  • i think thier name is very literal to what they do. i knew what i wa sexpecting when i came across them. then again i was speccifally searching for jewlery *shrug*

  • Michael Hezarkhani, author of the fake UA 175 videos,is allegedly a diamond dealer.

  • Hardest ? No. It takes a diamond to scratch a diamond, but it's easy to break. Titanium and Kevlar are some of the toughest shit around but Titanium is natural, Kevlar is man-made.

  • There is a difference Between Toughnes and Hardness. And spiderwebs are 10 times stronger than Kevlar.

  • You are evil.

  • Diamonds are the hardest metal know to man.

  • Diamonds are certainly not the hardest metal known to man because a Diamond is in fact not a metal, it is recognized as a gemstone. The strongest metal known to man is Titanium.

  • urrrr...they's metal

  • SOOOO METAL. SIGN OF THE BEAST!!!

  • PRESS F6

  • this one is really informative and it's cool to see whats in the dimond distric in new york

  • I have kinda a newbie question, I know you were using sterling silver (or at least I'm pretty sure you were XD), but would that same technique (the beveling) work with a metal like copper or brass?

  • AWESOME! =]
