Singles have a selected track that the band likes or that the company likes... however it is chosen doesn't really matter; what matters is that they are released separately with other songs that were (usually) recorded at the same time or close to the same time as that single - dubbed B sides from the days of vinyl. This song was released on the Single of Can't Stop and was a "B side" track on the disk

I suppose they made it in studio while finishing recording of the album... Moreover, it would be weird if the live version was the b-side. But it doesn´t matter at all, what matters is, that the song is awesome.
