These games are based on the Japanese law system, and I can prove it!

My first piece of evidence? The first three games all feature a judge giving the verdict, as opposed to a jury! This was exactly what the Japanese law system was unlike until 2004-2006. (Forgot the exact year. ^^")

Meanwhile, the last case in the fourth game is the only one that features a trial by jury; six "jurists" view the trial in separate rooms through CC-TV.

These games are based off the Japanese law system but the U.S. version of the game takes place in L.A. Thus proving that the NTSC Version of this game takes place in AMERICA. And this game is supposed to take place in 2016 (the first game)

Thus for all we know, America changed its Judicial System sometime between when it the game was made and 2016. Then in the Fourth game, the system CHANGED BACK after proving its too closed off from the public.
