Agree with you 100% Maxine, my dad died because of alcohol, he suffered depression and couldn't function without it, and in the end couldn't function with it. I am not T-total, I like to have a drink, but by a drink I mean ONE drink, and you're not talking regularly, not even every few months, you're lucky if I drink twice a year! I was so upset when I lost my dad and he said he didn't have a problem. So sad, so very sad.
when I was 14 i had a stumache pump. I'm 16 and i haven't been drunk since. I fully agree with everything you've said. I wish more people my age had the same veiw. I'm going to post a Video responce.
My mom died because of drugs and alcohol. I feel the same way. People say, "you dont drink so your boring." I say back, "well if your not fun enough without the alcohol then your the boring one." You Beautiful by the way. I respect you for being yourself and not letting others influence you. :)
@LivingIsApartOfLife I always tell ppl, who rub in my face and taunt me about drinking and all that other mess, "I get high" or drunk "on LIFE". Ppl say they drink to feel good, but does it REALLY make someone feel good? *looks up at all of the affects Maxine typed* I mean in the moment probably yes (no? Probably not even then). But what you said is right: u r NOT FUN if you depend on SUBSTANCES to take over and do the living.
Another thing people don't realise is they quickly fall into the trap, my dad is 53 years old and in 2011 he had 2 heart attacks and suffers from ridiculous complications due to drinking. He hasn't given up as he doesn't know how else to have a good time. So well done dad, all you will be remembered for is drinking yourself to death and putting your 15 year old daughter off drinking for life.
I have actually never met a person who i share so my in common with! Like, the fuck?! Haha, similar taste and views. Its uncanny. I love it. You're so well spoken, and well versed. Like, i don't even know. You are great. Yes, that you are haha.
I have been drinking every night for about 26 years...I am losing the spiritual feeling that I use to have while watching the trees sway with the wind ..all good feelings are slipping away...thank you for your thoughts.
ur opinion is ur opinion... but dont try to convince ppl who do drink. there opinion is there opinion. My opinion, bashing Ryan Dunn RIGHT after his death makes u an asshole. dick.
OMG! I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU! I don't drink alcohol, I don't feel the need to, and I think it's just degrading that nowadays young people drink 'till they drop.. I mean, what's the point?! If you can't remember whatever you did, it's just not worth doing a thing.
I think the best way to be free is just to be fully aware of your actions :)
drinking can be ok if you do it in moderation and if you get pissed i suppose it's your choice.. but i guess we only have one life so still can't decide haha
Wait I must correct myself Thousands of Brits died Millions of others also Your generation is a mockery to those who went before you to have a better life for their children and grand children, to be smarter and have the advantages they didn't get. what a waste. I'm American and I have talked to soldiers of that time that say if we knew the younger generation would forget us and that the world we were fighting to create was going to come to this I would have never fought in WW2
It's a shame that quality people People gave their lives in the Battle of Britain so that People Like you and your kind can exist. WTF.Thousands of people Died During WW2 what a shame, this is all you care about. but I agree about your views on Drunks.
I'm laughing because you look goofy with all those tattoos and those napkin holders in your ears. and your going to look goofier when you get older LOL
I love this. People, everyday try to get me to drink and what not. Some closer than others. This video took the words right out of my mouth. Thank you! :]
Drunk people-watching is the most entertaining, hilarious, and fun thing EVER. Usually by the end of the night I'm crying from laughing so hard and my makeup's running down my face, but oh, is watching people make complete ASSES out of themselves worth it!
Well in my humble opinion getting hammered is an absolute blast. numb out the pain of reality, loose awarness, sense of balance DOWN THE DRAIN, thought process GONE i tell you GONE.. ah alcohol my sweet sweet saviour
Your so amazing! I'm seventeen and I do like drinking and want to drink. But I'm seventeen!!!! I need to enjoy my life and enjoy being my age. Thank you. What are your views on smoking?
im from Australia and here getting drunk is a big thing everyone dose it but me, i agree with you, i think you can have fun with out getting drunk, i hate alcohol never had never will. I also have a major heart problem but even if i didnt have this problem i still would not get drunk. (Im 20 so im not to young to have it if anyone is wondering)
i turn the legal age to drink in my country (21) in 5 days .. i've drank a couple times in high school, but i really love the points you made. I really don't think i want to make alcohol a part of my life. i'm having plenty of fun without it :)
Honestly I have to say I fucking love you! I can honestly say that we would be best friends if I knew you. I feel the same way. Ya I'm 17 and ya sometimes, rarely I have a drink or two. But I do not get even buzzed. I don't like it. I like to stay in control of myself. When I have a drink it's just enough to make me relaxed and a little giggly and that's it. But I love to go out and dance and have a great time without drinking or drugs.
Also, though I disagree with your piercings (etc.), you do appear to be a very levelheaded individual and I commend you for that. Hope you enjoy your stay in Newcastle. It seems that you have picked up the accent slightly. Ay-up! :)
I agree with you wholeheartedly as far as alcohol is concerned. I despise the drink culture here in Britain. In fact, when I do go out (staying sober obviously), the highlight of my night is when these drunken (and in many cases, drugged up) morons beat the living shit out of one another.
@ImperiousViking Irrelevant! My tongue split was a decision that I made to change my appearance. Having a split tongue does not make me violent, leery, loud, obnoxious, a twat, vomit, waste money, loose my friends, fight, ruin new clothes, sleep/kiss/do sexual shit with people I hardly/do not know, forget what the fuck happened the night before, insist that I had an amazing night out although I can't remember, eat a fuck load of pizza/chips before bed, have a hang over the next day & vomit more!
I've never been in a fight in my life, leery and loud yes, but its all part of the fun as is the sex with strangers.
My comment was aimed at what you said at the beginning of your video, when you said drinking alcohol was unnecessary. It is the things in life that are unnecessary in life that make life fun. If you use any kind of birth control when you have sex, then isn't sex unnecessary aswell?
@bautifulfreak Hey I actually agree and disagree to a certain point. On a side note, I feel that people drink for their own personal reasons but essentially we live in a culture in which alcohol and smoking are our soma; we can live without it but most of us don't want to. This is besides the point. I totally agree that drinking should be kept in moderation but not everybody drinks uncontrollably. You use extreme examples here and maybe Canada is completely different from the UK so my comment
i drink every once in a while the thing to remember is that you have to be responsible. if you are not going to be a responsible adult you shouldn't have the ability to drink. one or two drinks are not going to harm you much just don't drive drunk, don't drink while pregnant, don't drink if you have to work stuff like that. responsibility is key!! XD
I'm 22 years old and I've never been drunk. I've been a little tipsy once but that was not intentional, it just sort of happened. I never understood the point of wasting all your money just to make yourself puke your guts out and feel like crap in the morning. I'd rather go out with friends and remember the evening and the fun I had. A social drink is nice, but I just don't get the mentality of "Let's get sloshed!"
I LOVE this video. Absolutely LOVE it. I agree with EVERYTHING you said. I know I'm a bit late in commenting, but I really feel it needs to be said that I completely agree.
Alcohol ISN'T worth it, and honestly, I'm tired of being surrounded by people who DO think it's the ONLY way to have a good time, and they seem to think it's okay to look down upon ME because I DON'T drink. It's completely disgusting and I can't stand it.
Usually when people ramble in videos and talk i dont watch or i skip through it...not yours...EVER lol i always sit and watch the entire video and LISTEN to everything you say (: i fucking love you
I totally understand where your coming from however whenever i go out to a club i need two or three drinks to get me tipsy enough to have the guts to met new people have a GREAT conversation and then get cracking on the dance floor. I rarely get drunk enough to like forget what happened O_o.
It took me a long time to realise my limits when it comes to drinking as it changes every time i drink. I took the responsible decision to not drink out in public as a social drinking to avoid blacking out and my nasty personality that is full of insecurities. Instead if i want to drink i do it in my house and i take myself straight to bed when i start to feel "free".
I felt the same way about his death and I believe most of the people who respond angry when a comment like that is said really don't know him but choose to act like they do because it is the news at the moment.
Ryan Dunn is amazing. It's so sad he lost his life, doesn't matter how it happened he's still dead and it sucks. And, with the drinking well I drink every once in awhile ,and when I do I get smashed and I fucking love it. Doesn't make me a bad person.
Totally agree. I do not see the point in drinking to the point where you make yourself ill - wheres the fun in that? I really cant understand the mentality of some people who say 'yeeah goin out to get smashed!'
I think drinking can be fun sometimes, but only to the point where I get giggly. I'm sober again by the end of the night. Even thats only on a special occasion.
Getting drunk = boring. I'd rather enjoy a night AND remember it the next day
i dont drink alcohol, and im apparently allergic to alcohol, and i love the fact that i am. i definatly do not need alcohol or drug or whatever to be happy, cuz im already crazy enough lol.
I like a bit of a tipple on weekends, there's nothing wrong with alcohol if it's consumed in moderation. Sure I get a bit happy on it, but I don't understand why people need to get so smashed they can barely sit on a chair, let alone anything else. Reeks of desperation if you ask me!
i totaly get you .. im not going to lie ive been slopy DRUNK and i hated it and i dont want to get that drunk again ... i have no problem with drinkin (i love drinking) ppl just should know what they can take and be safe
Living with an alchoholic would change anyones minds. I don't drink and havent done for many years. Alchohol ruins lives and families. And alot of people dont know that it is the most addictive drug in the world once your addicted your addicted for life you will be craving it forever
I dint drink because I'm only 14 and some of my friends go out and get drunk every weekend but I prefer staying in to be honest.
P.S
Please can you do a hair tutorial for summer styles because I like messing with my hair and creating new styles but I can't think of anything new and the beach is calling and I like to have my hair done up. Thanks, if you don't get the time don't worry about it (: Love your videos by the way.
I feel the same way about pot. And I rarely drink but if i ever do, its not nearly enough to be drunk. Have you ever seen 1000 Ways to Die? Half of those people die because they're either stoned or wasted, so i totally agree
you are so awesome I really like your videos and you are so right.. I love taking to a gay disco rather then a straight disco cause I don't like when guys come up to me and try to kiss me and all that shit I just wanna dance and have fun with my friends and yeah watch the drunk people go crazy its fun ;)
Thats what Mo'z is like. No one tries to hit on you, and it's a safe none judgmental enviorment, it's the most fun Gay bar I've been to. and I go, once every 5 months.
I loved this video. It's so true. And when people find out I don't drink, they give me the dirtiest look and say, "Well, that's YOUR choice I guess..." as if I was saying I was into shoving wine bottles up my ass for sexual pleasure. I've had people say this to me when explaining why I don't do drugs or smoke pot. Some people are just fucking clueless.
I honestly didn't know there was anyone else out there who felt this way, I'm turning 19 and have felt so lost with this issue because I've lost so many great friendships to alcohol. I just wanted to say Thank You an infinite amount of times to you, Maxine, and everyone who agrees with this video.
Lol on Thursday night im going out and not drinking (Im getting a tattoo the morning after so I dont want it thinning my blood) and Im guessing im gonna be amusing myself laughing at the pissheads :D haha x
i dont drink and im 17. i think the teenagers that do drink and do drugs is really sad. i respect their decision and i dont tell them if they should or shouldnt do it. but i feel like its something that isnt necessary. i totally agree with you, and i wish that the world wasnt filled with alcohol.
i think you are really smart in making your own choices, but i dont think that drinking alcohol is bad, ofcourse it can get out of hand, but it is just something dat can make things more fun, and i am not saing that you cant have fun without it, but still, you just have to make your own choice, and if you are happy with your choice, than everything is fine.. lovee
Oh my god, I adore you for your honesty and I agree on so many levels. I HATE how loud the music is in bars/clubs, you can't even carry on a conversation!
i drink, but never in excess and i dont need to go out dancing or to a party and drink to have a good time - ive learnt my lesson with alcohol many many years ago and will never put myself thru that again
I very rarely drink and if so it's just one or two for the taste. I am disgusted by the amount of people I know that feel the need to drink so much that they don't remember any part of what they have done. What is the point??
when you mention how you and your pals were talking about Jackass and you said 'oh theyre gonna die soon lol' and when Ryan actually did you act as if you 'told us so'. life isnt something to bet about. i dont think its right that you bring Ryan and his accident into your video. fair enough you have your views on alcohol, and thats good. but Ryan Dunn just died, its not really respectful to bring it up on a vlog....
Enjoy life in your own way. If people want to drink, just do it. Its their own responsibility, sorry i am dutch haha. And a party without alcohol? Nooo fucking way haha
I dislike alcohol aswell..Ive had it and its definetly not my cup of tea.i got so wasted that i couldnt even remember anything, and i puked and OH..had the worst hangover ever.I prefer getting stoned with the natural grass ofcourse-you'll remember most stuff, the only harm/violence you can cause is freak someone out by looking like a zombie.
i totally agree. number one because my older brother who was my idol and best friend died may 26th of this year. i now fully agree where your coming from, from his death ive learned, not too drink or not drink too often, he died because his liver completely failed. THiNK PEOPLE DONT BE STUPiD. thanks for bringing up this topic maxine<3 thumbs up?
Shes explained the swastika before, " the swastika was used by many cultures throughout the past 3,000 years to represent life, sun, power, strength, and good luck."
it's funny i'm nearly 16 and when i was in school (left year 11 now wooo) they are like for my 16th i'm going to get so stoned and smashed i can't wait it's going to be so epic and i say to them whats the point they say idk cus it's fun also most of the people there smoke and i got pulled in but i got myself out
I personally love going out and having a drink.. It makes me ..nicer. That sounds bad, but as a person I'm rude and abrasive to people who attempt to talk to me..(men). But I'm responsible. My life has a schedule that allows me to go out and drink and be safe about it. I rarely drink "too much" which to me is pass my limits. Then again, I'm only 21 which means it just became legal for me...so I'll let you know if the situation is the same in a few years :P
im 15, and i hate all the kids at my school that all they do is party, but its not like theyre dancing, they drink and smoke, every friday and saturday. whats the point? youre YOUNG, so do things that YOUNG people do with any other substance that doesnt need to alter your mind. i can list thousands of ways to have fun, clean and sober(:
I drink every once in a while but I never get drunk. I take maybe 5 drinks at most just to have fun with my friends. We go out.... Maybe once a month if even that.
I agree... i dont like to get drunk... i drink a beer or 2 and thats about it or i will smoke some weed instead... i would rather put something natural into my body than a toxic poison... i find it funny how tons of places would rather sell alcohol to their people than a plant that grows from a seed. What are your views on Marijuana? Lucky for me its legal in California :]
I agree with what your saying, I don't understand getting drunk to have fun. I'm 27 and can truthfully tell you I've had maybe 5 beers in my whole life. But I've had to stand by and watch my best friend of 22years waste most of her teenage and and some of her adult life away with drinking. I'm married with 2 kids and she has a 1 year sober tag, I ask her all the time was is worth it to throw your life away. My main point is to the younger kids, don't take my friends path, it's cheaper and way m
Personally, I really don't like it. I find it pointless, and a waste of money. Unfortuntely, my views on this have caused problems with my relationship.
I'm only 15, and too many people my age are getting themselves into drugs, alcohol and sex.
I'm not "against" drinking. but drinking and driving is DEAD wrong not even a funny thing to joke about. and same goes with drinking to excess I have done that to many times and it's honestly not cool.
@KiriSandman Mhmm, I'm eighteen and when I was sixteen I would have a beer here and there, once ina while. But now, I just can't stand drinking anymore.. there isn't anything great about it and its not fun! Drinking just makes a lot of people very irresponsible, and I don't wanna be someone like that. People who aren't of age and are drinking, yeah I definitely think its really tacky. Its like you don't look cool at all, you're a little kid. :)
I'm 20, and ever since I was very little I swore to myself I would never drink. Now I always said don't knock it till you try it; so I waited until I was of age, and got drunk in a safe environment just to try it once, then never again. I grew up with an alcoholic father(and now my sister) and in the end it killed him. 5 years after I broke off contact with him, he died alone on his apartment floor. It ruins lives and I want no part of that, and I can have tonnes of fun without it!
@zakcourt Also drunk people have always made me uncomfortable, they are so irrational and unpredictable. I have friends that drink socially and I dont have much problem with that since I know they are in a safe place, with people I can trust all around them. But I still wish they didn't. We always have fun, but half the time they forget the whole night... Whats the fun in that? I like to the events/parties I go to...
Drinking, i think is a waist of time and money. I had friends drinking and cops showed up 17 of my friends have court dates. my point is DONT DRINK! It's ok to say no, and walk away!
I AGREE! Im 20 yrs old, 8 months sober and I have never been so judged in my life! Ppl always ask me REALLY your just going to quit for the rest of your life?! Or why are you here if your not drinking? Ppl have come to think alcohol is a necessity! Like you NEED it to have fun and you dont.. I go out and dance.. Remember everything I did and im not sick the next day! Points for us! ;)
If I do go to a club or out on the town I'll have a few drinks , Thats all, Because I don't like being that pissed off my tits thankyou :P Plus I don't like being taken advantage of.
I'm 23, from the States, and I thoroughly enjoy beer and the occasional whiskey or tequila. Fortunately, I don't ever drive and I don't overdrink. I get the occasional hangover, but nothing that a coffee and a good bagel can't cure. It is just fun to go out with friends and get hammered to blow off some steam.
I totally agree. Im 18 years old and im proud to say i have NEVER drank, done drugs, or smoked and i wouldnt have it any other way. Life is so short, i want to remember it all, the good the bad, the pain the butterflies, everything.
holy shit haha i agree with yo so much on this , many many times i have been sitting at a bar drinking my one drink (only one drink alll night) watching others act like idiots ...being wasted is not that cool , not at all
I'm 28 & I simply do not like the taste of alcohol. So often people ask me how I CAN'T like it or tell me "You still have time to get really drunk"... It's so hard to simply accept that I do not drink.
I think it's sad so many people can't seem to have fun without alcohol or with just 1 or 2 drinks. If you're not fun to be with while you're sober, you're a bore & should rethink your life! If your friends aren't fun to be with when sober, then maybe they're not the right kind of friends for you.
i love everything you had to say, especially the stuff about going out and dancing. You're views are just so ... real, i cant decide the right word for it.
I'm 16 and I don't really drink. The most I've had is like half a bottle of a mike's hard lemonade, and that's while sitting on my couch with my mom. I don't think it's acceptable for people my age (or younger) to be drinking accessive amounts of alcohol like many teenagers at my school seem to be doing. I get that they have their own life and they can make their own decisions, but they're making stupid ones and not seeing that they're causing harm to themselves and even others. -__-
I drink because it's either 1.with people to get a little relaxed and silly or 2. drink a glass of wine by myself or a cider to relax me before bed. I don't over do it it's usually a big drinking weekend once a month and a glass of wine or a beer 2-3 times a week for me. I see many people my age just going over board all the time. I know that something like alcohol comes with big responsibilites. Health, safety and money (drinking every weekend is expensive) are some of them.
I have a friend who used to drink too much and I always ended up holding her hair when she got sick. There was once a time when she fell asleep at a party and started choking on her vomit in her sleep. I had to shake her and force her to wake up and take her to the restroom. It's was exhausting having to babysit her because I didn't want her to get hurt. I'm glad she's stopped drinking.
I'm 16 and I know sooo many kids my age who go out to parties and get drunk, thinking they're cool. And these are kids who have really good grades and I think they would know better. To me, drinking and getting wasted makes you look REALLY stupid. You don't need booze to have a good time.
I drink because I have extreme paranoia and shyness that come from my insecurities as being a trans woman, and as I see from above, I'm not the only one with this problem.
I have no idea why alcohol is such an important part of life for my friends, right now they're camping in a field, I would have gone if the focus point of all their social functions wasn't drinking. I feel really pressured into drinking by them because they think that just because I don't ever drink to get wasted means I don't drink at all, which is totally untrue. To be honest I feel like I've lost my friends. They get into dangerous situations just to drink. Like lying about where they are.
tastes good, lowers inhibitions. Nothing wrong with drinking sensibly in a comfortable environment with some close friends. Like anything, it's about moderation. Even exercise is harmful in large quantities, meh?
Sorry to commented again but thats so true...I see alot of people talking about going to parties and clubs and getting drunk but ya dont need to drink to have a great time i definitely agree
That is another thing I hate are those kind of stuck up girls....I so wish I had a friend like you, I am not the type to go up to people and talk...so i have 1 friend but she lives about 6 hours away now but she is the only person i have...so I feel like watching ur videos, that you are actually talking to me :)
Yeah it does get old quick, I live in Miami where we all there is to do is go out and drinking & dancing (most people are on other stuff). I don't feel like I fit in with that crowd, I just like to dance with my friends.
I so agree with you and I am glad that I am not the only one...sometimes people can be funny when drinking but I am the type of person that if someone in my family or my fiance is drinking then i get worried and scared something will happen to them...I have heard so much stuff happen because of drinking that i never been to a club, I would rather stay home where im safe
This Video made me laugh so much, because its so true, alcohol is expensive and a waste of money, especially when you cant even remember the night lol and what you said about the girls up there own arses is so true!
Tell me about it!! I am 24 today and I haven't looked near a drink I have spent the day with my husband and daughters and loved every minute! Most people my age would get wrecked!
I'm nineteen, twenty in October, I've been drunk three times in my life. Started drinking at eighteen, and I only drink once every...oh, four months? Sometimes less.
I never drink unless it's a party. And I never ever drive after.
I only got drunk once, and that was when I was 7 because my mom had this glass of blue pretty stuff and i drank it and it tasted like juice and I honestly didn't know. xD
I'm 18 & live in the US (the legal drinking age is 21). I've been drinking since I was 15. I've been completely smashed probably about 3 times, but that was around when I first started drinking & didn't know my limits. My friends and I drink at least once a week, tops would be about 4. We don't drink to get shitfaced, though. I'd like to say we treat alcohol just as any "mature" adult would.
I wholeheartedly agree that no one needs alcohol to have a good time, but, y'know, it helps.
I live in Finland and here we have a big, big, BIG drinking culture. I'm only fifteen, and like, all of my friends get drunk all the time. I just don't see the point of it.
We always use the excuse "we're students, it's ok" but I always feel terrible (not just hungover) when me and my friends go out because we drink FAR too much, my friends end up having one night stands, one of us ends up being sick and all of us hungover the next day. I don't know why I do it, it's the same EVERY week, same club, same shit every single fucking time..just like you said!! haha :)
I'm considered rather young and I'm still underage here in the US, but most, if not all of my friends already drink. It's really hard to not get pressured, since they keep telling me that I'm so different or have no life because I don't need alcohol.
This is just one of the reasons you are my ultimate favourite youtuber. I don't drink & always get shit for it from others, but they are just not mature enough to understand. & your impression of the snobby bitches in the club was perfect! hahaha took the words right out of my mouth!
you are so right. i moved here from south africa and the drinking culture here is so scary. there are so many accidents caused by drinking I was in a and e yesterday due to an allergic reaction but the amount of drink related problems and people admired was so so scary. you are killing your liver if you binge and the drinking age is there for a reason you are too young, everyone casual drinks but some people take it to the extreme and try to pretend its not a problem.
i'm 18 and i can't legally drink in the US, but kids still drink. i have the best time out with my friends goofing off til 4am sober. i've been to parties, and the drunk people don't have nearly as much fun there as i do sober. my life is always and adventure
If you believe that you HAVE to get shit-faced drunk to enjoy a night out, or in for that matter, you have no respect for alcohol, yourself, or anyone around you. Enjoy a drink or two, but you don't have to be black-out drunk to be "cool" or whatever.
I am 15.. going on 16. I drink on certain occasions, I avoid getting to the point where I get out of control.. I'm not a fan of drinking all the time & getting drunk. That's not why I drink, I do sometime when I am with friends or family just having a good time with a few drinks. Be careful.. you only live once.
Maxine, thank you for making this video :) Alot of people need to hear that there is more to life than drinking and partying. I think so much of the problem comes from people not knowing their limits and drinking excessively. Thats what lands people in hot water. Thanks for saying what needs to be said. You rock girl :)
i agree, but alot of people are being really miss lead, thinking ur being mean or nasty, your not. ur just saying what everyone is thinking, THE TRUTH. thats what i love about you. everything you say, or issues you talk about in your videos are so true. your so nice, and down to earth and honist. ur amazing xxxxx
Yesterday I drank. I felt so alone. My plan for the night was to talk thru Facebook Mobile to a guy I like that lives far away. But he didn't answer back so I just kept drinking. My knee hurts so bad and I don't know why. People said that I kept falling everywhere. I'm only 14 and I do think drinking is not needed. it saddens me most of my uncles have died from drinking. I don't want to follow.
I agree with you, you don't need to rely on alcohol to have a good time. It's like people who think they need to be in a relationship to be happy. No. If you can't find healthy alternatives, there's a problem, you know?
I've had really good times sober, more than I have had drunk.
@christabella81 It's not the Nazi swastika. It's the ORIGINAL, Hindu swastika -- " The swastika is used in all Hindu yantras and religious designs" or in Buddhism "in ancient Tibet, it was a graphical representation of eternity". Basically, a positive symbol used in eastern religions. The Nazis turned it to a 45 degree angle and made it a symbol of hate and fear.
@sapphirekitsunesama this is quite interesting.. i knew it had another meaning but never looked it up... unfortunately in the USA, we are taught of hitlers use of it and no other.. thanks for the clarification =]
@christabella81 No problem. I'm from the US too, though. Perhaps what one is taught depends on location? I mean, we go over it in High School in NY. But I'm also an Asian studies major in college, so if I hadn't learned then, I'd still know now. :)
@sapphirekitsunesama She even said in one of her videos that her sign is unfortunately what most of society know the "Nazi" sign. Learn a little more about the person instead of ASSUMING. Have a great day (:
@WindyCitybby hmm? I know it's not the Nazi swastika...... that's what I said. I don't know why you said I was assuming. Perhaps you meant to reply to the person that *I* was responding to? christabella81?
@christabella81 Google has the answer to pretty much everything!! Does Max look like she's all white power? NO. Google it and a whole new world will open up to you!

I agree with you wholeheartedly as far as alcohol is concerned. I despise the drink culture here in Britain. In fact, when I do go out (staying sober obviously), the highlight of my night is when these drunken (and in many cases, drugged up) morons beat the living shit out of one another.
JimmyMacJones 7 months ago
You are probably right. Drinking alcohol is about as necessary as spliting your toung into two.
ImperiousViking 7 months ago
@ImperiousViking Irrelevant! My tongue split was a decision that I made to change my appearance. Having a split tongue does not make me violent, leery, loud, obnoxious, a twat, vomit, waste money, loose my friends, fight, ruin new clothes, sleep/kiss/do sexual shit with people I hardly/do not know, forget what the fuck happened the night before, insist that I had an amazing night out although I can't remember, eat a fuck load of pizza/chips before bed, have a hang over the next day & vomit more!
bautifulfreak 7 months ago 44
@bautifulfreak
Neither does me drinking alcohol...
ImperiousViking 7 months ago

XD
skittles52us 7 months ago
I'm 22 years old and I've never been drunk. I've been a little tipsy once but that was not intentional, it just sort of happened. I never understood the point of wasting all your money just to make yourself puke your guts out and feel like crap in the morning. I'd rather go out with friends and remember the evening and the fun I had. A social drink is nice, but I just don't get the mentality of "Let's get sloshed!"
Heather063 7 months ago
I LOVE this video. Absolutely LOVE it. I agree with EVERYTHING you said. I know I'm a bit late in commenting, but I really feel it needs to be said that I completely agree.
Alcohol ISN'T worth it, and honestly, I'm tired of being surrounded by people who DO think it's the ONLY way to have a good time, and they seem to think it's okay to look down upon ME because I DON'T drink. It's completely disgusting and I can't stand it.
So, THANK YOU for this. THANK YOU.

Ryan Dunn is amazing. It's so sad he lost his life, doesn't matter how it happened he's still dead and it sucks. And, with the drinking well I drink every once in awhile ,and when I do I get smashed and I fucking love it. Doesn't make me a bad person.
metalangel165 8 months ago
I think people are entitled to do what they want, alcohol can be great fun, so can many other substances, but you have to keep a firm grip on it.
I think sometimes we become over analytical of ourselves.
herefordmsv 8 months ago
Totally agree. I do not see the point in drinking to the point where you make yourself ill - wheres the fun in that? I really cant understand the mentality of some people who say 'yeeah goin out to get smashed!'
I think drinking can be fun sometimes, but only to the point where I get giggly. I'm sober again by the end of the night. Even thats only on a special occasion.
Getting drunk = boring. I'd rather enjoy a night AND remember it the next day

And when people find out I don't drink, they give me the dirtiest look and say, "Well, that's YOUR choice I guess..." as if I was saying I was into shoving wine bottles up my ass for sexual pleasure. I agree... i dont like to get drunk... i drink a beer or 2 and thats about it or i will smoke some weed instead... i would rather put something natural into my body than a toxic poison... i find it funny how tons of places would rather sell alcohol to their people than a plant that grows from a seed.

MikeyEffinWay 8 months ago

I'm nineteen, twenty in October, I've been drunk three times in my life. Started drinking at eighteen, and I only drink once every...oh, four months? Sometimes less.
I never drink unless it's a party. And I never ever drive after.
talindsa 8 months ago
I only got drunk once, and that was when I was 7 because my mom had this glass of blue pretty stuff and i drank it and it tasted like juice and I honestly didn't know. xD
I don't want to get drunk in the future.

I like drinking. But NOONE should DRIVE when they had alcohol! That is just insane!

It's really hard to not get pressured, since they keep telling me that I'm so different or have no life because I don't need alcohol.
omgpurplemangos101 8 months ago

@christabella81 It's a hindu symbol, Not a nazi one, :l It never was a nazi symbol untill hitler made it one :L
woahXgirl94 8 months ago
@christabella81
google what it meant before hitler ruined it
413413o 8 months ago
@christabella81 It's not the Nazi swastika. It's the ORIGINAL, Hindu swastika -- " The swastika is used in all Hindu yantras and religious designs" or in Buddhism "in ancient Tibet, it was a graphical representation of eternity". Basically, a positive symbol used in eastern religions. The Nazis turned it to a 45 degree angle and made it a symbol of hate and fear.
sapphirekitsunesama 8 months ago 26
@sapphirekitsunesama this is quite interesting.. i knew it had another meaning but never looked it up... unfortunately in the USA, we are taught of hitlers use of it and no other.. thanks for the clarification =]
christabella81 8 months ago
@christabella81 No problem. I'm from the US too, though. Perhaps what one is taught depends on location? I mean, we go over it in High School in NY. But I'm also an Asian studies major in college, so if I hadn't learned then, I'd still know now. :)
sapphirekitsunesama 8 months ago
@sapphirekitsunesama She even said in one of her videos that her sign is unfortunately what most of society know the "Nazi" sign. Learn a little more about the person instead of ASSUMING. Have a great day (:

@WindyCitybby hmm? I know it's not the Nazi swastika...... that's what I said. I don't know why you said I was assuming. Perhaps you meant to reply to the person that *I* was responding to? christabella81?
