  • Currently CO2 rates are only marginally over the 350ppm offered as our global target by the High Priests of Carbon Emissions. Perhaps your argument is a cynical commentary on the passivity of the human race to our mindless enslavement to the carbon fuel monopoly. I think there are many valid arguments to lower CO2 emissions, health for one, without defaulting to a myth.

  • Who's scamming who? Beck needs to quit lying:

CO2 emissions as harmful as exhaling?

While people do exhale carbon dioxide (the rate is approximately 1 kg per day, and it depends strongly on the person's activity level), this carbon dioxide includes carbon that was originally taken out of the carbon dioxide in the air by plants through photosynthesis - whether you eat the plants directly or animals that eat the plants. Thus, there is a closed loop, with NO NET ADDITION to the atmosphere.

  • If we prepare for climate change by building a clean-power economy, but climate change turns out to be a hoax, what would be the result? Gradually we would be driving battery-powered electric cars & powering more & more of our homes & factories with wind, solar, & 2nd-gen biofuels. We would be much less dependent on oil dictators; our trade deficit would improve; the dollar would strengthen; and the air we breathe would be cleaner; we would be stronger, more innovative & more energy independent.

  • Thank you, good thought, but only if it wasn't for the HUGE cost charged to the consumer for our emissions. Maybe the cloud has some sort of beneficial lining. However, it doesn't obviate the shameless con perpetrated upon us that CO2 emissions are majorly affected by human activity. Historically CO2 rates have passed 900ppm long before human contribution was anything but the exhalation of the tiny pop of the entire planet -with no significant change in the overall temp of the global climate.
