@soulsface I can definitely see how that would be a good character choice for Scruffy - he really doesn't have a whole lot going for him, more of a boorish gang leader than a sophisticated, intellectual pathfinder...
Grating on the ears, but it's growing on me...
But still, nobody can top George Carlin, or most of all Ringo Starr. To me, nobody can top Ringo.
OK, someone tell this Michael Angelis to STOP RENARRATING STORIES! Not only is his voice and cadence irritating to no end, but the man's completely TONE-DEAF.
I simply mean that Michael Angelis is narrating stories that have already been narrated by, in this case, George Carlin, and his narration is replacing Mr. Carlin's.
@Steamrunner92 Completey the other way arrond! Michael Angelis did the original recordings and George Carlin dubed them for American and Cannadian audiences.
@ItsMeWario2 You're right - I checked my facts on ttte.wikia.org, and I got the order wrong. I guess when you hear something done one way first, you tend to assume that was the way it was originally done. In any event, my mistake.
I still think Angelis really, REALLY suffers in comparison to George Carlin, but MOST of all to Ringo Starr - to me, nobody can top Ringo.
Angelis DID THEM FIRST! He is better so you American's can SHHHHHH! Why do we have to renarate, our shows, but we don't renarrate yours? (Im Australian)
@TrainzXtreme You're right; I've check on the Thomas Wikipedia (ttte.wikia.org), and he has been doing this for longer than any other narrator. But for me, it's not just a matter of American vs British narration - Ringo Starr is probably number one in my list, followed by George Carlin. It's simply a matter that MA's narration, inflection (accent notwithstanding), and most of all his singing voice simply do not hold up. Not even Alec Baldwin or Michael Brandon can come close to Ringo or George.
@Steamrunner92 Indeed. This narrator makes the engines sound like their always pissed. He made the trucks here sound really pissed off. It's a good thing he was changed later on.
I think michael Angellis sung badly on purpose to go with scruffey's character

Listening to the UK version played backwards is funny as hell. I like both versions of it though.

I agree. Angelis can't win American Idol to save his life.

@TheThomaslover1990 Why American Idol? Why not the version in his own contry "Pop Idol"?
