  • hey i heard ur camaro back fireing when you really laid on the gass. is that okay? cuz mine does the same thing.

  • @Tim81595 Well I wouldnt say a backfire is good.... there are different things that could cause it though. im guessing the reason for mine backfiring was my exhaust leak. ill never know though, i sold it last winter....

  • In my camaro I hold the rpms up by pumping the gas at a fast rate I can hold it sideways as long as I want this way on wet roads just make sure you dont go in too fast or give it to much gas when you start. Suggestion try messing around on dirt first then move up to pavement

  • i regret selling it! im going to be in the market for another one sometime in the near future i think....

  • @TheREVOLUTION22

you should be damn sorry for selling it...tsssssk

  • yea plus after doing drift donuts, then do figure eights, try counter steering earlier, for a car goes, try to have stiff suspension and limited slip diff

  • Love the way it sounds!!

  • Start doing donuts. feather the throttle, and the steering to hold the circle out as long as you can - that'll help you control your car in a slide.

  • all you really needed was a 5 speed swap and a posi rear end that car seems to act like an open diff car

  • Keep your rpm up higher use the ebrake to start the drift countersteer it sounds like an auto so just mash the gas and feather it until you want to stop drifting it if it was a standard when you get into the turn clutch kick that bitch and let the fun begin.

  • gay dude lol you suck!!!!

  • wow i did the exact opposite, i quit drifting my supra and got my camaro. the camaro is a much better balanced car and is alot easier to drift smooth because of the low end torque. both very fun cars tho stick with rear wheel drive

  • Dude....You supposed to feather the gas pedal to keep you rpms up

  • @TruAdictionv3 being he had an auto and probably just had it in drive and not low or 2nd feathering would have messed him up more

  • Agreed, stick with a 3rd Gen

  • Thanks for the advice guys! but i actually just sold the car about a month ago :(

in the near future i might be buying a 240sx or a MK3 Supra turbo.... THEN well see what i can do. haha

  • @TheREVOLUTION22 supra? cumon man! u were on the straight and narrow, whadru doin?

  • Also, as far as technique..throttle modulation (feathering) is crucial to the learning process. Constant throttle is really only necessary for underpowered cars..but doing controlled donuts should be a good practice. Zip the throttle, catch the steering and wait..if you feel traction trying to come back, give it part throttle and it should keep it sliding..staying on the throttle in the motion will make you spin out. think of it as Throttle on/off/on/off/on/off..hopefully I was of some help 2u!

  • Biggest thing I noticed is the amount of body roll you have. A slightly stiffer suspension will help reduce this effect and keep the car more balanced throughout the corners..Idk what your budget is but generally coilovers work great for drifting due to the advanced tuning capabilities..however you have a solid rear axle..so I'm not sure what the 4corner set up should be as far as that goes..but definitely get some lowering or race springs/dampers...should definitely make things a lot easier.

  • I have a 91. It's all about the throttle control. It's also about being comfortable with the car you're driving. I know my car top to bottom and I know what it can and can't handle.

  • tip : go about 35 in 2nd and when your about going through the turn punch it. it should work for ya cause of the torque.

  • hahah thats hilarious lol

  • @ericg83z shut the fuck up. this is on here for real comments and suggestions. not that bullshit.

  • @TheREVOLUTION22 relax man , i thought it was hilarious cuz u never see this with a camaro third gen, lol jump to conclusions much

  • @TheREVOLUTION22 Damn dude your a dick head dude only thought it was funny you fucking prick!

  • @Deathbringerrrrrrrrr

am i trying to be funny?...

  • drifting is all about feel and practise. and theres no shame in drifting on wet pavement afterall its still drifting.

get your desired speed goin good and then drop down a gear give it a bit of throttle and crank the wheel over and you should begin to drift.

getting the feel for drifting your car: start by doing doughnuts on the same wet pavement and once you got it going good turn the wheel the other direction and you can do slow speed drifting.

  • nice car bro just stay in it we all cheat at one point i like dirt its unpredictable i guess wet pavement would be bought the same practice makes perfect keep at it

  • ok notice that your giving a constant amount of throttle. Don't do that.

get a comfortable speed, don't accelerate, hold that speed till your ready to start your drift.

Once you have the speed go a head and slightly turn the wheel of the direction needed after barley you started your turn. You need to give it a small kick to the throttle just to get it side ways

not to much. then feather the gas to hold the drift.

in a couple weeks i'll do a "How to" in my camaro (1990)

    Good luck man!

  • @Midgetman303 thanks for the info man. have you seen my burnout video?

  • @TheREVOLUTION22 Wow, you're kind of rude to your viewers. You're not going to get yourself views that way, especially if you're driving an import.

  • @collin6060

its ok... i dont wait around at home hoping that im getting lots of views... if you read the description i was looking for helpful advice. this video was made over a year ago, i no longer even have the camaro....

and youre one of those guys huh? im not going to get views because im driving an import... haha. dont get all butthurt because our 4 cyl have the same ability to put out big numbers just like domestics while using a fraction of the gas.

  • @TheREVOLUTION22 Why would I be "butthurt" over somebody driving a 4 cylinder...? Yes, I agree, you can put out big numbers if you put thousands and thousands of dollars into the engine, any stock v8 would still probably do better. If you are so worried about MPG, build up a Toyota Prius. My v8 does 22 mpg.

  • Its a start. Check out what a 3rd gen is capable of by typing "Camaro Hyperfest" or "Summit Point Camaro Drift" in youtube. There you will find several vids of my son's 91 1LE Camaro Drift car. Its also red with black fiberglass hood. Good luck! (i'd start with lowering, stiffened rear springs and big sway bars -36mm front/22mm or more rear. Also can replace steering box with one w/o limiters to give slightly more steering angle. We have custom-made LCAs to get about 40degrees.)

  • what motor?

  • haha o man that looks like fun. Get some sway bars man.

  • yeah i need to stiffen her up a bit lol

  • haha yeh. i have an 86 and i got eibach springs, full poly bushings, and a 36mm front swaybar. It is really stiff and handles like a dream.

This summer hopefully i can get some drifting vids.

  • yeah my car definitely needs some love. i picked it up for $600 about 4 years ago. ive done most of the work myself, but im just gonna be graduating high school this year and i dont have much money so i do what i can when i can.

and for sure post up some vids of drifting dude. i love watching camaro drifting vids

  • NICE. haha tokoyo drift much.

    Did you get scared?

  • haha. well no because im in a wide open parking lot. theres nothing for me to hit so...

  • Nice. You shoulda done some doughnuts just to take it home.

  • lol yeah. i wanted to just do a burnout but i didnt....

  • You definitly should keep these videos comin man. btw is that Advanced Transformers?

  • yeah it is i think

  • who are you guys?

  • This is Calvin. Im guessin thats Justin?

  • calvin merwin or palerma or whatever your name is?

  • lmao. palerma. no its merwin. i think palerma is a sandwich maybe?

  • lol like polera maybe? i know ive heard you with like a different name before... like in band mrs gallagher doesnt call you by merwin im pretty sure
