Nobody seams to do this moneuver correctly. I learned how to do it when I worked on NASA's Zero G Dc-9. First you go in to a dive to build up airspeed. Then you pitch up to 35 deg. Then you start your zero g push. It gives you twice as much zero gravity time because you make a sort of a half circle or nearly half an out side loop. If you just pitch down you only get a quarter circle. Just dont do it in a gravity fed carb like on a 172. 15 sec in and the engine looses power.
Could you tell me anything bad about the 401? I am currently in the market for a cabin class twin and am curious why the 401s are being sold for so cheap. The most expensive on the market right now is going for about $75,000 with good times. I am just curious because there has to be a catch if you know what I mean.
@HDaviator The 401 is a GREAT airplane! The main reason the are so cheap is many are facing a wing spar AD that costs between 30k and 100k depending on what you find (engine rails, ect). However, if you do the AD the value of the plane goes way up, plus you have a near new structual airplane when done. daveandjj@hotmail.com I fly 2 of them for customers.
