  • I'd get one of these but I think listening to it play that music all the time would get on my nerves. Is there a way to shut it off. How do you sleep at night? Lock it in a gun safe? Can you hear it through the gun safe?

  • What is this song

  • Nice looking gun but shame the owner can't shoot properly

  • sounds like bass pro shops store music.

  • Go to buds gun shop they are selling it for around 450 to 480 I think

  • Where can I purchase this gun, and how much do they usually cost? Thanks

  • M&P 15 22 or Ruger 10/22 im stuck between them :/

  • @jitzero i have both and you cant go wrong with either...the m&p is awesome ....

  • I love how someone can go out, buy a product worth hundreds of dollars and have it still..... come in a crappy box. :( lol

  • hi,

been using some of the 550 I had in closet, $11 shows you how long ago I got it at walmart. no jams, tried the CCI and no problems accurate rifle.

Midway USA had the CCI AR Tactical Rimfire on sale and that ran great,

    clean ammo.

My rifle has the blue springs, I ordered it from Davidson's and had it shipped to my local FFL.

  • This gun is just for novelty, its worthless

  • @ferdin12 this gun travels with me in my kayak in the back creeks and bayous and has put lots of food on the table. It also has the effect of looking like a real AR and keeps crack heads and trespassers moving when they trespass on my property. Inexpensive and fun to shoot recreationally too.

  • nice gun but S&W have to upgrage on the box.

  • awsome vid! just wish there was comintary

  • These guns shouldnt jam like that. Aren't these much like the military issued AR-15's? If so then I these rifles are supposed to be near perfection...then why else would they give these to the USA military?

  • @uzi2004 this is a .22lr meaning its a rimfire not a centerfire also these guns had a few issues when they were first introduced

  • s/w have sortid the prob the new ones have a blue spring as standerd i got mine a mth ago have put 2k + down it and 200 subs no probs best gun in 22 ive ever had

check my vid keith smith & wesson 15/22 mP one last thing dont use rem gold or any rem thel jam up

  • i love how lightweight this rifle is because its recivers are plastic, also the rail system

  • i love how lightweight this rifle is because its recivers are plastic

  • Nice gun, im actually getting one this week, but who grabs the gun lock first thing taking it out of the box. my hands would be all over that gun.

  • how much do those cci mini mags cost for 100 rounds?

  • Maybe you just bought an older model I just got mine 2 weeks ago and it had the birdcage on the end. Put 500 rds through with only one jam. Gotta say I love this rifle.

  • I got my 15-22 back from Smith and ran about 300 rounds this weekend with no problems. I'm glad Smith repaired the riffle, the only issue I have is with the fact that Smith is aware of the problems with these riffles and is still allowing them to be sold. Im happy with my riffle, just not happy with Smith and Wesson.

  • @bkr1972 These feeding problems have all been fixed in the new models. Take yours in and I believe the warranty will update it for free.

  • @bkr1972 What problems did you have? Just curious, Ive had mine sense April 2011 fired close to a 1000 rounds so far with no problems yet.

  • @furrchomp you might have gotten a lucky gun but ive herd it has to do with jams...

  • @lsb3340 , If your getting jams try better ammo if you havent done that already. I know in the owners manual they have a list of reccomended ammo. The real cheap stuff will jam, like Remington thunderbolts. Also I want to say my buddy said his was picky with lead bullets. I have had good luck with CCI mini mags, Aguila ammo. I have actually been buy wal marts Federal Bulk box of like 500+ rounds for less than 20 bucks and they have been doing fine. Im just trying to help.

  • @furrchomp thanks , ill look into those CCI's

  • @downrangeupwind or bkr I'm really thinking about buying one of these rifles, other then DUU is there any other serial numbers to look for. Also do the new models cost the same as the old? Thanks

  • @chewdogg316 I'm new to the 15-22 and am in the process of sending mine back to Smith. I'm not the person to answer you questions at this point, but Downrangeupwind was very helpful to me with my questions. As I see it now, if your going to buy a 15-22 then you should definitely be looking for serial numbers starting with DUU..

  • @bkr1972 not necessarily true.. i have a different serial number and have heard of people with other serial numbers as well having problems.

  • @bkr1972 marion county,Florida?

  • @DownRangeUpwind Thanks, I"m very pleased with the purchase. I think my jam was due to the shooter resting the mag on the box. After I pointed out what she was doing: their were no more issues. Oh, its surprisingly accurate..

  • @DownRangeUpwind DownRange, I had the chance to put about 100 more rounds thru it today and it performed miserably. It jammed numerous times and on one occasion after clearing the jam; switching from safe to fire it discharged.. No finger near the trigger... I cant explain it.. Have you ever heard of the safe to fire discharge issue. I'm sending it to Smith..

  • @bkr1972 What type of ammo was used? As the manual has the approved types listed. What are the first 3 numbers of the serial number that is actual the model number. My rifle is DUU and its the newest version available now One way to ensure it doesnt jam is to NOT use the load assist button and load one at a time and be sure they stagger/stack side to side properly. Theres a video here on youtube called S&W M&P 15-22 Magazine Loading without the load assist hes a member of the same forum I am.

  • @DownRangeUpwind Thanks for the help with the issue. The rifle was cleaned with Hobbes 9 and lightly oiled and then the oil wiped down but it was not scrubbed with a tooth brush. I had the jam issues with the Federal ammo. I bought the rifle from Gander last week and asked the sales person if it was newly brought into the store; he explained that it was but I think I got an older one. The the first 3 numbers are DTX and it does not have a blue spring.. Thanks for your willingness to educate.

  • @bkr1972 Yep the DTX models were the around the first runs of the rifle. They were the ones that had the worst issues S&W will fix everything with the new " up to date specs" and give you a extra magazine for your troubles. They even pay shipping. Where the toothbrush comes in the MOST handy is at the end of the bolt that is next to where the round is fired, that lets a build up of black gunk occor and thus the round doesnt fit properly and causes failure to ejects & some time feed or even fire

  • @DownRangeUpwind Thanks for the info. You've been a great help.. I sent Smith an email this morning, I guess I'll wait to hear from them.

I did notice how quick the black gunk builds up.

  • @bkr1972 Also was the rifle cleaned originaly BEFORE firing it the first time? The manual even says to do this, as they are shipped with packing grease that can hinder performance of the weapon. Either way use a toothbrush with some type of cleaner like Hobbes 9 and clean the bolt and inside of the gun very well and then lubricate it with Rem oil. The newest model rifles are all up to date with the current blue trigger and bolt springs as well as the up to date other components.( ejector, etc)
