BF3 Tutorial: How to fly the F-35

The flares. People and I drop them if lock- on( Ofcourse) when being chased(a little challenging) and also as hope to serve as a distractions/ blind your opponent(not too effective, but better than nothing) for example I would pull flares when i fake left, then fly between an object, to flank left to get back on tail.

Why do so many guys drop their flares when you're machine gunning them? I see it all the time O_o. Do they think the pilots gonna go "AH shit flares!" and leave them alone?

The first time I flew a jet I couldn't get off the ground, I just kept speeding up and then a jeep rolled out in front of me and we both died...

This is so hard because when you try and brake, you just go into hover mode!

@82ndairborne100 You have to pay attention to your speed, I try and stay above 200. its less but just to be safe.

You're one of the few people that I've seen that can lead their jet's machine gun shot properly. So many jet tutorial videos have people putting the cross-hair on a banking jet and wasting a whole burst of ammunition. Nice to see someone has the right idea.

Only the last few were F-35 specific, all others were more general. Great that I'm not alone on the 300 speed for turning. Found that I could pull 9+ Gs in the plane...

This jet leaves you at such a disadvantage against the other jet. It's only good for land killing/helicopters which I can never do because there are usually other jets in the sky shooting at me

@dutio94 The lased guided bomb is unlocked after about 30000 points in a plane. Rocket pods and heat seakers are unlocked earlyer.

is it just imagination or is the turn radius bigger than in normal jets? What did you say to that taktik if you fight a normal jet. if he follows you lean right or left go to hover mode (you get a litle stall and loose on hight) and then aim for the other jet turning around and fly for you again. thats the best way i figured to use the f35 but i dont like it couse its dangerous. some more detailed tipps how to follow another jet? bf3/user/V3ritas1989/

@verisana It's true the F-35 has a biger turning radius, no matter how good you fly it. What I do is turn untill they are verry close on my tail (I look at the radar) and then hover. If you hover to early your indeed an easy target, so try to be carefull. The hover is however handy when it comes to killing choppers. If you sneak up its tail you have all the time in the world to shoot it down. Good luck :D

I keep finding dogfighting is harder in this jet because if I try to brake I end up hovering when I don't want to because they share the same button. How do I brake effectively with this jet?

@bigred2989 only tap the brake button until you're around a speed of 300, then accelerate and tap break again.

how do you use bombs??? is it an upgrade?? what buttons do you press on xbox 360?

@cma1216 The laser guided bomb is an upgrade, I dont know how it works on the xbox but with the pc you need to switch weapons witch.

Are these tips really that helpful???  They all seem like common knowledge and very few actually apply to the F-35 itself. Guess I'm just a bit smarter than your average pilot.
