Its too late now but next time the government should be prepared ready to evacuate anyone with black hawk helicopters in the line of fire. This was a foreseen event and yet the government made no provisions for evacuations. We send troops and helicopters to war to defend our nation and yet we dont do the same to protect our citizens.

My spin on it is that this was not just a fire storm lit by random fire bugs. This was a calculated operation. Why? Well notice how the media jumped on this crying 'global warming' as the cause. Like the war on terror needed a crisis (9/11) to kick off, so does getting the people to accept a carbon tax need a crisis. This disaster is it. Financed by those that will profit
So many firefighters have died in previous fires that The CFA know where they should position their fire fighters so they are not at great risk of losing their lives. If you think this was calculated you obviously know very little of Australian weather conditions.
