i think that to start from that 7th season Mrs Garrett lost all her educational tutor role becoming just one of the "girls". So she had no her full potential working and no longer the attention by the writers she had before. The change of the shop from bakery into a rubbish-for-fun shop is the epitome. I assume that's why the wonderful Charlotte Rae gave up on the series.
@yepheth it's like the girls - supposed to be all grown up - are making fun of poor mrs. Garrett all the time instead of listening her former lessons of wisdom . I think, at this point, she had enough :-)
dont think ive ever heard of wild hearts.. but ive always liked the character joe.. everyone says blair is the prettiest but i think joe was my favourite.. 'joe' was no afraid to get her hands dirty- but thanks a lot for the info - will google 'wild hearts.'

Well, the actress who plays Jo, Nancy Mckeon moved on after FOL went over to do alot of tv movies and a few theater movies...She turned 41 in April and she's married to her husband Marcus Andrus and they have two children. The last movie she was in was "Wild Hearts" which aired on the Hallmark channel in 2006. Did that help?
@galaxycat3 Also, if u watch the right episodes, u can see her on disneys 'sunny with a chance' :D she plays the main character 'sunny's' mother :P shes still pretty beautiful just with black hair.. sounds pretty much the same tho :D its amazing to watch that show, then this... its like this is a yearbook for her :)

You know, it has been a while since I saw the reunion movie. Even though I missed Nancy, I still found it enjoyable. It's hardly on TV anymore.
