Yeah I'm both.

As u said depends who u are. A music director at my church 'Kisses' the mic. Its better for his style of singing. Also I find that if you play a guitar and sing at the same time as singing its better to 'kiss' the mic.

But with people who have like really powerfule voices or something not so much. Missy does have a strong voice but its mellow so yeah...
