Im pretty biased on the mustangs, solely bc for every truly badass mustang you see that can shake a rearview from a block away, you see about 25-30 base model v6 mustangs. Thankfully, they never made a base model GTO. Still a great race, with two sick ass muscle cars.

@sage8937 I believe if he didnt install the skip-shift then that's possible.  Also if he was to high in rpms that lock out shift shit happens too... I have been there not just talking. Stock T5 mustangs from back in the day are hardcore on missing 4th at times

I wish ford would have brought out some higher HP numbers with the 4.6 3v (05-10) because its kinda sad that a stock 98 camaro keeps up with a 2010 GT. They sure made up for a few slow years with the new 5.0 though.

pretty nice run for the stang. Those 4.10's really shined through there, with a passenger taking away the weight advantage and the goat having 40+ rwhp. Those 4.10's made themselves known. Those are the best races to have. Door to door through every gear. Can't get better than that.

Only reason the mustang even stayed in this race was due to the 4.10's the owner had put in, not to mention having full bolt on's and a proper tune to the GTO's intake and incorrect dyno tune...

Dyno tuning is for the dyno only. Street tune it and there would be no question who wins this race. Wouldn't be surprised if the dyno tune actually slowed him down.

@DaBluedude100 A dyno tune and a street tune are completely different things. Street tunes are done as the name states, on the street and on the fly. Dyno tunes are done on the dyno. I don't know a single person who runs a dyno tune on the street, because if they did they would be very unsatisfied, due to factors a car does not even deal with while on a dyno (rolling resistance, temperature, humidity, TRACTION).

Custom built tunes yield better results than dyno tunes by the way. Do research.

@2006spiceredgto That being said, they're called dyno tunes for a reason, so you can get the most power out of the car without it blowing up on you, then the street tune is the one that is supposed to be used on the street. A dyno tune just gives it more power...if done correctly. Any car can be fast, but not everyone gets there the right way...which results in blown motors and transmissions.

I have never lost to a goat in my 07 gt and Ive ran many before I put my blower on. ls1 and ls2 alike. me and ls2 goats were pretty much driver races when I was bolted but i would inch out and win everytime vs bolt on goats. I respects gto's to tha fullest because I know what they are capable of ls1 and ls2's alike. u should also respect stangs because they have a lot of potential as well.

@2006spiceredgto agreed. have no problem around corners either. upper adjustable and extreme lower control arms and drag radials pretty much fixed any traction problems I had. Gonna finish up on the rest of the suspension next year and turn up the boost. There is always room for improvement ;)
