  • incredible. insane. what a song. what a vocal and instrumental performance.

  • my favorite song from them!

  • I remember lying in bed watching this it blew me away then even more so today awesome band...thanks Geo

  • beautiful !! <3

  • Heaven is truly a place on earth!

  • This is the only song on my iPod, no other song deserves to bask in it's glory.

  • I'm into hip hop since I was a child and i never really cared of other music generes, but this song... this is probably the best song of all time, with one of the best live performance ever

  • when you dont believe... watch that: the-voice-of-germany.de/video/clip/239571-percival-drops-of-jupiter-1.2973961/

  • @mutiert1337 everyone has their own opinion. in mind, nothing can touch Pat Monahan's vocals on this track. It's the song of my youth. It's everything and nothing all rolled into one, and seeing it performed live ten years ago was supreme.

  • Percival from Voice of Germany did it 1000 times better ;)

  • @mutiert1337 not gonna lie that was one hell of a performance, but its not necessarily better. Nothing can beat trains original.

  • I like Trains

  • best thing since sliced bread

  • i like it

    is a memory!!!

  • One Word: GREAT :-)

  • absolutely wonderful--a rare tune that will live forever

  • watch?v=jCo6ra4xGHo

watch this. this is a german cover of this song from yesterday!!!

  • lol @ people saying he's lipsyncing. That's all people ever go to when they hear something good. It sounds good, it must be lipsyncing. lol no.

  • @SwiftVideoSource well nowadays half the time they say it, theyll be right.

  • My most favorite song!!! :))

  • @tonyhernandezstudios did we ask? I'm pretty sure no one wants to here your bull shit so shuttup and enjoy a band with a better vocal than you. P.S. Have a nice day.

  • easily the greatest performance and song of 1998...

  • 3:09 I laugh at this.... His guitar sounded dull while making a proud pose... :D

  • @tonyhernandezstudios shut up, we are here for the music, not for the cd artwork

  • The song is actually about Pat's Mom who passed from Cancer, what an inspirational piece. Thanks

  • @chasentrouble Really? I thought it was about fried chicken?! Man......was I way off or what?

  • then and now he looks the same. like a 40-year old dad. LOVE THIS SONG

  • Mmmh he look good. I would love for him to sing that song to me...love this song..

  • Yeah, a great performance :)

    He looks so good :)

  • Real music is supposed to mean something. This is real music -3

  • you know what would be epic? If Train played songs in a Train. Home sweet home. they should go around the world with the Train and let everyone notice what "Train" really means.

  • tell me, did you fell from a shooting star?? ! <3

I didn´t know Train before "Hey, soul sister" and that is because in Latin America they never had as fame as now, and since I heard this song and "your every color", I´m sure I´ll never forget these amazing songs! "to be loved" is too good too!

  • Eddie Izzard on the drums!!

  • I love this song! My first concert was a maroon 5/train concert

  • @The4urockerchick If it was in KY, I totally went to that same exact concert!

  • @MrJuicemonkey i went to the one at the iowa state fair this summer and it was amazing and when they sang mary me the lead singer went in the audiounce and stoped at a couple and the guy asked the girl to mary him and she said yes oh and ive bene to KY and its awesome

  • love this song!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Train is just so good. Never get tired of listening to 'em, and I've been listening to them since this song came out! :)

  • damn i was listening to this song when i was in grade school!

  • Back when music meant something more than publicity.

  • LOVE this bands. so many memories.

  • I have a pretty good idea when someone's lip synching and he is definitely NOT lip synching. This is a mark of a true artist. Not that fake crap like Brittany or unlike people who have no business singing live such as Black Eyed Peas or OutKast.

  • lyrically awesome

  • hell no he's not lip syncing, the fuck

  • Idk why people are saying he's lip syncing. So unlike you he has talent. Don't be hating.

  • I saw him lay night at the pnc and he was amazing-ask was maroon 5

  • He is totally lip syncing fur sure.

  • @MrWdawg I think your deaf.

  • my favorite song, i saw him live singing it last night

  • 1900 why don't you give me more?????

  • HE IS PERFECT:)

  • Obrigado... jajajajajajajaja.

  • Love this! :)

  • One of my all time favorite Grammy Performances...Amazing! Lip Syncing? that's a joke!

  • Saw them all live last night! awesome band to see live!

  • For a start it's called "lip syncing" not "lip singing" you fucking idiots. Oh and he is clearly singing. People get dumber and dumber with every day that passes.

  • What an amazing performance! You can really tell that he's feeling the music. So natural and real. Such a class act!

  • He can sing so good love this group

  • <3

  • He's not lip singing! He's that bloody good he sounds like the CD that's why you asses. That's a true artist for fuck sake.

  • all right guys. Thumbs up if ... you ever make it to the Milky way , fall for a shooting star...looking for yourself out there. Love, Pride, Deep fried chicken ( is that his favorite meal?),

  • Yeah, I'd think it's rather obvious he's not lip singing.

  • i never lked this band but this is a good song

  • some people!!! i think this is the best song that helped me get through a very hard grieving about my husband and i would love to meet the group Train just to tell him what he did for me. when ever i hear this song it makes me feel alot better becauses i wonder always where my husband is so if someone knows how i can get ahold of him the singer i would be so happy to go to the next chapter of my life Bonnie Norris, Canada Ontario

  • He's not freaking lip singing!!!!! It's pretty obvious he's not by the pauses, extra words, and the strain at 3:17!!!!!

  • He's not freaking lip singing!!!!!

  • he is lip singing so badly, you can tell because when he sang hey soul sister on americas got talent he sounded not so good and he sounds just like he does in the music video

  • @nathanpoore5 I do agree that his performance on Americas Got Talent was really bad and sounded nothing like the actual song, but he was havin a bad day. I just saw him in concert and he was great, no lip sinking involved. Train isnt like todays music where every song has voice changing, these people can actually sing.

  • @nathanpoore5 he's not lip singing !!! i had watched this ceremony live in 2002 .......there is not lip singing or playback in Grammy Awards , everything is live !!!

  • @nathanpoore5 That's called "talent".

  • Thumb up if you're one of the few to know that the piece played by the cellist at the beginning was from the bach suites...

  • @Redsox07rbeast Thumbs up if you're a pedantic ass.

  • @AdventurousPutty I gave you a thumbs up :)

  • what the heck?an error occured?Probably beacause its filled with AWESOMENESS!!!!

  • He's lip singing you can tell by the sound... He sounds just like the recorded version where they edit his voice slightly

  • @Jackalope20051 no he isnt

at 3.17 you can hear the strain in his voice

  • @Jackalope20051 cuz hes singing good you think like that :):

  • i totally agree with the 24

  • Ladies and Gentlemen, Howie Mandel on lead guitar. Lol.

  • @kwconchs lol, i saw them perform on America's Got Talent. I was like "omg, howie's playing th guitar!" when howie was sitting on the judge's panel.

  • This was actually the first time I heard Train. I loved, and still love, them immediately.

  • his voice here is amazing...if he tried performing this now no chance his voice is shott

  • Thumbs up if you knew Train before "Hey soul sister"

  • @SnowdragonDS everyone did cause of this song

  • @SnowdragonDS

Thumbs up if you realized almost everyone who knows soul sister knows this song.

  • @masinini I find it annoying that people only found out about Train because of this song. It's a good song, but is over played on the radio.

  • @SnowdragonDS you could not be farther from the truth. I rarely hear this on the radio, which is what makes it so wonderful.

  • @roberth214 I hear it on my iPod all the time ;)

  • @SnowdragonDS :D easily the song of the century

  • thumbs up if you cant see the dislike bar! XD

  • 0:49 Erdnussbier xD

  • Love the cello at the beginning... reminds me of a morning in a motel w/JL.

  • i just heard it on the radio couple weeks ago and i started searching the song but i couldnt find it i almost lost my hope and then ive search it in google i type "she's back in the atmosphere, la la la la+lyrics" and i was like finally! i spent more than a week just to search the beautiful song!

  • true artist. love him, dearly.

  • LOL @Pat's long frickin coat thing! He is so amazing <3

  • the chick on the cello is amazing!!

  • WOW just like the recording

  • Go search "CrillaBlu" and watch her video its SOOOOO cool

  • @CrillaBlu I know this is a while ago, but the fact you said "her" even though we can all clearly see your name under the comment, just had to be brought up. I feel like giving you a pat on the head.

  • @Revan540 Haha. NICE!

  • erdnussfeld? :)

  • @sunshine222ify erdnussbier!

  • I like this song Drops of Jupiter

  • I really love this song.

This version is awesome, for me, at least.

  • 24 people have Drops of Uranus :L

  • I LOVE TRAIN!

  • That was just... Ermm lets think of the word... Amazing?

  • @iMaGiiCzZz no, this is to good to be discribed with a word like amazing. there are no words to discribe this! >.<

  • wow.. the best live performance of any song i've EVER seen :)

  • why does the girl on the cello act like a robot

  • one of the best live performances i've ever heard , i could watch this hundreds of times

  • the most annoying thing about the grammy's this year was the fact that a majority of songs nominated were one's neither i, nor my family or friends, had never even heard of. and by people i never heard of. and the winner of best new artist even. never heard of her and i wasn't really impressed by her song. her ONE song. mumford and son's should have won. that IMO. this was a great performance though. i will say that.

  • @KAG8893

When I read the list of winners, I was going huh? Who the heck are these people? It is like the Oscars now, most of the winners are ones you have no idea about. Nor care.

I was so happy TRAIN won, but I wished they had had more nods. Perhaps it had something to do with eligibility dates or something, since their cd came out in late '09....I am not sure how that works.

THIS performance of Drops Of Jupiter has to go down as one of THE best Grammy ones...EVER.

  • LOVE THIS PERFORMANCE!!!!!!!!

  • my god it gave me goosebumps watching. . . its so perfect . . . epic. . .

  • Ah, the good old days when Grammy performances meant something, when REAL TRUE talent was rewarded....and people actually sang live.

Despite having the biggest song of last year, TRAIN got one nomination this year? WTF?

Look at some of the crap that is nominated this year. Some of the auto tuned and the lip synchers.

The thought of that Bieber 'person' winning makes me want to vomit.

  • @amc17bears : Well said...this performance by Train was Amazing!

  • Train are playing in Dubai Media City (i think) on 18th february 2011

  • why lil wayne instead of this guy?

  • 24 dislikes? really? really? suck a dick people, a big black shaq size dick. Then go jump in front of a train. =D

  • Am I the only one wondering why there's a random cello solo in the beginning?

  • @CreepingDeathX

no, im also puzzled at that

  • One of the best songs ever, different from any other song, original.

Train is amazing, this song really gets you at the heart.

  • AAHHHH they are gonna come to venezuela with shakira and i can´t go

  • i think im gonna make a cover of that beautiful song .Dx

  • Hell he writes his musiclllllll he is a great talent

  • wtf this guy sang better live before...what happened??

  • this song makes me cry and i don't even know why.

  • absoloutes lieblings lied =P morgen in der schul könnt ihr euch auf was einstellen ohrwurm

  • I remember hearing this in a grocery store when I was in little.

  • Thumbs up if you REPEATED THIS VIDEO.

  • 3:38 BEST PART.

  • I love this performance...He is simply..Amazing!

  • i always remember my grandma (who passed away recently) when listening to this song. i hope heaven wasn't overrated :)

  • i love this song

  • Awesome!

  • Bissken viel Cello, aber der Rest...geil!

  • When he started playing the piano, I got the chills.

  • @apopiel1 That means you love the song <3

  • Train is awesome.. pat has a beautiful voice!

  • Look for ben saunders drops of jupiter, beter than train live.

  • @reemprive ben saunders is goed, maar train is echt beter:)

  • @MissHelen92

Als ik de live uitvoering vergelijk vind ik dat niet. Maar meningen kunne verschillen natuurlijk :)

  • Train is the best band ever, and the songs of pat monohan too,

but i've got to say that he has a ugly jacket :$ haha.

  • Great song, but I feel like sometimes when he sings he sounds way too out of key, but great voice and great song nonetheless.

  • very nice.... i'm glad they won the grammy for that song. well deserved!

  • They may never write a bigger tune in their careers................. but thank god they wrote this one! GREAT SONG!

  • this is the definition of music.

  • omg i was in 3rd grade when i was obssessed with this song too!! still am! lol

  • This song is right up there in timeless quality with the Beatles. This will be great 100 years from now.

  • @dennismahon So true!!

  • 24 people have drops of Pluto.

  • This song is so much deeper than Hey Soul Sister, and I'm coming to appreciate it more even though it's older.

  • @ohgoodjoy this song is miles ahead of Soul Sister.

This is one of the anthems of the last decade. SOul Sister is meh,,,

  • An amazing song, which I could listen to over and over again, AND he sounds as good 'live' as in the studio...the true works of a gifted musician!

  • NSYNC performed this I promise you, the acoustic version, at this one.

  • I love
