  • #RitaHayworth4Ever!!!

  • Great number. Rita you are the best! Thank you for posting it.

  • This movie is not a masterwork for sure, but thanks to Rita Hayworth's presence and two dancing numbers it's still a pleasure to watch. The lady is beyond compare. Thanks for posting this. An admirer from Switzerland.

  • Rita HATED doing this movie. She married Prince Kahn and had $300,000 in the bank, when she returned to Hollywood, she was broke. "That's why I agreed to do that turkey. Of course, I loved being back in Glenn's arms."

  • @VelmaKelly1997 I know the actress but it´s not her voice. She was not allowed to sing in her movies

  • @VelmaKelly1997 You don't say.

  • Rita was a hoofer from the time she was a little girl. The choreography in this dance number does not show off her talents. Watch her and Fred Astaire together by searching YouTube. She was an incredible dancer, not just a beautiful face, but what a gorgeous face it was!

  • I own this movie on Sony Region 1 DVD (Martini Movies Series)... The print shows a bit of grain but otherwise the print is excellent...and Rita is awesome,as usual!

  • Rita is a real dancing queen! What a beautiful woman.

  • I love her!

  • Rita does a perfect job of dancing to this song. Affair in Trinidad and Gilda are my two favorite Rita Hayworth and Glenn Ford movies. I wished I would have been alive in this era of time. It seemed to be a great time to be alive.

  • This is Rita's best song, so strong and beautiful music. Thanks for the post.

  • I think this is my favorite number of her solo performances (loved her dances with Fred Astaire in other movies). This is my favorite because I love her dress, her hair, and the look on Glenn Ford's face. I try to overlook the edited shots cut from various takes, noticeable by her hair - sometimes she shakes it wildly and the next shot it's perfectly in place. Great performance by the lovely Rita.

  • Watching her dance make me want to get up and dance too! :O)

  • Of course, "kissed" is a mtephor for something else....

  • Rita ...well there isn't any comparison.

She was fire and ice with oomph.

  • those guys had just a pleasant job :D

  • Rita came from an era of beauty and talent. It is so entertaining to watch her dance and sing. I could watch and listen to her for hours and never get tired. She was a product of the Greatest Generation. I love and miss you Rita!

  • Sorry, but Rita blows Monroe away. No comparison.

  • @ritaharlow I was just thinking that! lol

  • one of the alluring sex goddesses/seductresses ever. up there with marilyn monroe

  • Bravo Margarita!

  • It's not just that's she positively hypnotic to watch (which she is, so very much), but you can tell she really enjoys what she does, that she's having a good time

  • marvelous

  • It's always so hard to take your eyes off her, especially in any song and dance number. She's just so great!

  • Although this is just another variation of her Put the Blame on Mame number...who can really tire of watching this woman. Supernaturally beautiful.

  • The world should have more women like her.

  • Unfortunately there are no more women like Rita around in this world. She came from an era of class, talent and beauty. Her generation has pretty much passed away but at least they left us some of their greatest talents on film and tape.

  • sign me up for trashy and chunky,,,,, I fail to see any chunk except where a WOMAN is suppose to have curves,,not this pencil looking stuff that so many call "normal" today,,,,, what a shame so many can not recognize what a Woman is suppose to look like,,,, curves, that is what we are suppose to have,, not look like 13 year old boys with fake breasts!

  • you took the words right outta my mouth!

  • I couldn't agree with you more- and I work in fashion!

  • Yeah but that doesn't mean a 180 lb fatty mooing around wal mart either

  • have it on dvd but its not thier first movie together!love it!!!!!

  • Rita's a stone-cold fox!

  • Rita is the best.

  • I'm so glad that it's coming out on region 1 DVD soon, as is Rita and Glenn's first movie, "The Lady In Question" - I have them on video but DVD is always better!

  • Rita always was a marvelous dancer!^_^

  • i'll confess ... im in love with Rita Hayworth ... but that certainly aint no sin

  • i love the way she dances

  • So Class ...!!!!no comment !

  • Wrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrk those pumps, beeeeeeeeyotch!

  • LOVEITTTT

  • This is a great song too, perfect medley of lyrics, voice, and jazzy bump and grind.

My sister listens to it sometimes while she's getting ready to go out. Helps her put on her "maneater" face.

  • I agree.

I actually do the same. Gets me in the mood and helps a lot.

  • @updog88 LOL "maneater face"!

  • does anyone know where I can find this movie? I've been looking 4 months and I can only find it on VHS.

  • in europe it exists on dvd, check ebay...

  • It's coming out on DVD at the end of September!

  • @iluvmrman1118 I have the full movie on my laptop. I could send it for you...but it'll take forever lol..It's one of the rarest movies to find.....AMAZING THOUGH!

  • The lady was at her summit, just after Gilda. Everyone forgets she was trained in dance from an early age, pimped out to Hollywood by her father and then her first husband, then ruthlessly used by Harry Cohn. No one gives Rita credit for undeniable star power. The lady was a class act, unfortunately in an age when women were merely money vehicles for the studios. We cannot correct that now, but we can watch and give credit where it is due - to her.

  • You are so right about how the Families and Hollywood used "Talented" Women. Included in this category was Marilyn Monroe.

  • amazing performance

  • Vincent Sherman writes about.... putting this movie together in his entertaining, zippy auto bio, Studio Affairs

  • She's signing and dancing this way because she wants to make Glenn Ford angry so he'll leave. She was spying on the guy who gave the party and jealous GF was in her way. She was working undercover for the government. That's why the dance appears "trashy". It's supposed to be. And it's HOT, so is she.

    Alexa

  • I have ALWAYS loved this dance and the dress and the hair and the woman. On my. To have a body like that. This is one of my favorite movies. Thanks so much for the clip.

  • so sexy!

  • Chunky?? Yeah right.

  • stupid comment . Rita is neither chunky not is the dance bad---she is classy as always....

  • why not try to rub some of that class on yourself? it IS possible to disagree with someone's opinion without childish comments.

  • This is a bloody hard movie to find! It is great, but it seems like Columbia studios wanted to make it "Gilda II"

  • Tell me about it! I had been searching for this film for years, only to discover it by chance whilst scanning through some dvds (bloody thing was filed incorrectly! ) at a local shop I frequent. Needless to say, I nearly died from shock and incessant joy.

  • congrats on the find. I hope you enjoy it for many years to come. Such a great movie.

  • I love this dance sequence and this song!

  • Gee, I have watched a lot of Rita and Glenn Ford clips tonight ! Damn, they are hot together.....guess I'll never get tired of watching them.

  • CHUNKY!!!???? i wish i was chunky if thats what chunk is!! she was beautiful! beautiful face, figure, posture etc. thanx for the clip :)

  • Yeah, I think it was supposed to be similar to Gilda's "Put the Blame on Mame", how she dances and acts kinda trashy to get back at Glenn Ford....

And as for "chunky body", we should all be so "chunky"....

  • oo, i love her!

i've seen this movie! how exciting!!

    (chunky body? you crazy?)

and the dancing is supposed to be trashy, she's trying to make someone think she's no good . . . as far as i can remember

  • does someone know the name of th singer?

  • Jo Ann Greer

  • many thanks!!!

  • I thought it was Anita Ellis.

  • That was in Gilda.

  • @silabar it is Rita Hayworth!

  • @MMfan1997 I know the actress but it´s not her voice. She was not allowed to sing in her movies

  • @silabar that sucks! She was probably good at singing!

  • irresistibly attractive Rita !

    A GODDESS !

  • THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT!

  • She´s a real dancing queen!

    What a woman!

  • hehehehe.... Do your thing Rita!

  • Go Rita!!
