  • it sound almost the same.. the nes didnt has all that sound channels so it never would sound like that

  • I know, I mentionned in another reply that I used GSXCC, so it "sounds" like 8-bit NES-style instruments, but used too many instruments/channels to be really "NES". I had another version with less channels being used, but it sounded a bit "empty". However, I'll disagree with you saying that "it sounds almost the same", haha. All the instruments are there, yes, but they sound really different from the original =P

  • @Kelmster I would like to hear the original, even if it did sound empty.

  • Mmm, well, I could try remaking it (lost it in a hard drive crash a few months ago) since it's not really hard, but right now I can't really upload anything on YouTube. I'll try to remember though and upload my other version if possible. I can message you if you want whenever I have it uploaded.

  • That would be great. thank you!

  • @Kelmster If you want to make an authentic NES remix there is a program called Famitracker. There is a learning curve but 8BitDanooct1 has excellent tutorials.

  • @CODMarioWarfare thanks, I've been looking for a tutorial!

  • This would be an awesome remake. OOT on the NES! Could it really be done though?

  • Awsome stuff, nice work

makes me... wanna play the game again (brings out old box with oot)

  • Hahah, to be fair, a minimal amount of work went into this, as I used GSXCC (just changed some settings, ahha). Editing the NES cart picture actually took more work xD But yeah, OoT was an amazing game, so I understand why you'd want to play that again ;)

  • GSXCC, not NES. Awesome! What would it be like if you used Famitracker?

  • Well, yeah, it is GSXCC, but I actually bothered to change the set to Famicom, so it's still "NES", even if there are too many instruments. I tried to use Famitracker, but I think there's something I don't get. Either that or it doesn't work well on Vista. I'll try it on XP later.

  • I like the description. when i saw it, it made me think:what (i)would(i) certain things be like if video games were still only 8 bit.

  • Here i am thinking of what it would sound like fully orchestrated, and other people are imagining what it would sound like on the Nes!

  • haha this video comments are more about that one guy that faked his death then it is with the actually video but its a good remix

  • who is everyone talking about?????

  • well im glad hes not dead, the world wouldnt be the same with out him!

  • Thats cool.

  • A guy was remaking Ocarina of Time in 16-bit. Sadly, he died in a car crash and was unable to complete it. ):

  • i heard about that on G4.poor guy.:'<

  • Ha ha, (Not about car crash Poor Dampe..)

I am also making it! I will post a trailer soon of kokiri forest! MWahaha!

  • He Died? o_o Fuck. o_o

  • some say he faked it to get out of the project and sadly theres more evidence pointing that he DIDNT die

  • HOOOLY shit....

  • He faked it.

  • yeahh it was me. sorry guys, i just couldn't be bothered any more. besides, this way i don't get my ass sued.

  • yeah he seriously didnt die he even wrote a letter of apology

  • Nope, that was a lie because he was under pressure by the fanbase of the game to complete it AND make it pwnsome.

    He's still alive.

  • Ah, that's interesting. Makes me feel sorry for him.

  • lol sweetness!

  • wow nice, id wonder how the game would be, thanks this is original
