I know, I mentionned in another reply that I used GSXCC, so it "sounds" like 8-bit NES-style instruments, but used too many instruments/channels to be really "NES". I had another version with less channels being used, but it sounded a bit "empty". However, I'll disagree with you saying that "it sounds almost the same", haha. All the instruments are there, yes, but they sound really different from the original =P
Mmm, well, I could try remaking it (lost it in a hard drive crash a few months ago) since it's not really hard, but right now I can't really upload anything on YouTube. I'll try to remember though and upload my other version if possible. I can message you if you want whenever I have it uploaded.
@Kelmster If you want to make an authentic NES remix there is a program called Famitracker. There is a learning curve but 8BitDanooct1 has excellent tutorials.
Hahah, to be fair, a minimal amount of work went into this, as I used GSXCC (just changed some settings, ahha). Editing the NES cart picture actually took more work xD But yeah, OoT was an amazing game, so I understand why you'd want to play that again ;)
Well, yeah, it is GSXCC, but I actually bothered to change the set to Famicom, so it's still "NES", even if there are too many instruments. I tried to use Famitracker, but I think there's something I don't get. Either that or it doesn't work well on Vista. I'll try it on XP later.
it sound almost the same.. the nes didnt has all that sound channels so it never would sound like that

GSXCC, not NES. Awesome! What would it be like if you used Famitracker?

I like the description. when i saw it, it made me think:what (i)would(i) certain things be like if video games were still only 8 bit.
linkgoff295 3 years ago
Here i am thinking of what it would sound like fully orchestrated, and other people are imagining what it would sound like on the Nes!

guitarhero0804 3 years ago
Nope, that was a lie because he was under pressure by the fanbase of the game to complete it AND make it pwnsome.
He's still alive.
