  • Im in Early college and we go here every month for science service learning. I saw this, yet in bald mans pond (or so we call it)

had a puddle of dead fish in the dry bottem of it.

  • Hi, What charge controller did you use for the 24 volt stator? I built the homebrew 24 volt one but I'm finding it difficult to match it to a charge controller. Any ideas ?

    Wellusee.

  • Well that was in 2005 and this is 2009. It would be nice to see how the system has worked out and what the point of the recapture of the investment will be,. Without some clear economic gain, this is only someones expensive hobby.

  • Do a search for Indiana Wind Farm and I think you'll find Indiana is doing a lot of very large wind farms. Believe me there are parts of the state that are very viable for wind power.

  • Chris, great job on this video.

Let's get some of these downtown!

  • Indiana is not the best place for Wind Turbines.Richmond has class 1-2 winds about 0 to 14 MPH at 50 meters. This is not enough for wind power to be viable. Its all about location.Class 4 wind and higher is really what you need. Also turbines have many moving parts and do breakdown.I ran solar and wind for 4 years.Turbine broke a blade and was hit by lightning twice.Never had a problem with the solar.
