  • i agree great era for music .

  • i agree great era for music

  • Absolute class tune!.

  • brilliant

  • These are punks :-) Say what you want

  • It's awesome. You can see Vince trying so hard to look cool. (He does look cool though.)

  • he looks like christopher lloyd in who framed roger rabbit at the end when he reveals he's a toon lol

  • I wouldn't say music is shit today, just bland and nondescript...My Parents were shocked or kind of fascinated by the music I listened to in the late 70's early 80's..Now I'm their age they were then and I can honestly when I hear today's music I'm just mehh!

  • this is krispy..

  • New wave--the best music in my opinion, best mixture of lyrics, vocals, and sound. Better than todays crap ^.^

  • This song just puts me right into that time I was dating this cute blonde. She had that typical 80s look to her and which I could just stare at her all day :)

  • mmm this one i like more her voice, the music is similar to depeche mode

  • @kybernes23

It's not "her" voice, he's vince clark, and it sound like depeche mode because vince clark started depeche mode

  • @yo1950

    lol, what are you smoking??

this voice is alison's voice, not vince's!

    Vince does the musical part.

  • Great, i don't know how we managed in the 1980's without 'talent' shows and phone -in, these bands seemed to come from nowhere and do quite well..

  • Fantastic Vince Clarke song. What genius. And what a voice she has!

  • I agree, the music of 80' was the best, a lot of creative music we are hearing, I like Yazoo, in special this song....

  • Cool track.. Love alf voice.. really soulful

  • heard it sirius radio this morning driving to work. forgot how much i loved this song.

  • I used to listen to this song over and over on a k7 back in 86,87,88,89,90 now I still blast my car stereo with a cd or Zune I love this song will always love it! I remember Loula my love my woman,Holl Holl and Q4....

  • KTO mój pamiętnik znajdzie ????? Kocham tę muzę

  • great

  • still get goosebumps!

  • oh man, nostalgia.

  • i think i contributed to watching this video over 50 x's. your welcome yazoo.

  • just how I feel

  • Super!!! thank you! best wishes, Willemina

  • Wish i could say the lyrics of this song to a certain someone right now....it really hits home!

  • this song haunts me

  • Just Outstanding. Fuck U X-factor and Simon Cowell. Just Fuck u for what you`ve done to music. You cunt.

  • @scarletboy9 i agree xfactor is crap but that's a bit harsh

  • @scarletboy9 Say that but music of today is shit period & that's a fact! Don't blame Simon Cowell maybe Simon is good after all at least it's music, if we have to put up with the likes of Eminem, the wanna be 80's rapper & all other shit copied from the 80's, all i can say is come on Simon bring back the music coz today's stuff is shit & has all be done before.

  • @iguanna41 eminem is good

  • @scarletboy9 You retard he ain't done nothing to music, music today is shit period!! if anything he has improved it, long live the 80's

  • I loved Allison so much back in the day. It really is a shame that she didn't go futher because of her suburban-houswife looks. Unfortunately, it was the beginning of the MTV era and she just didn't fit the mold, even though she had the chops.

  • @two9ertango nothing to do with her looks, went to see her this year and I could not have asked for more, she was amazing!!!!! nothing to do with cover and book! get a grip of yourself, when the light is out what do you hear!!!!!

  • @shmeegoe I don't believe I made my point clearly: Yes, she IS an amazing talent, should have been a star, but because she didn't fit the cookie-cutter look of that time, the record companies didn't know how to promote her. Just look at this video again - she is kept in the background or in shadows as much as possible. Not that I am comparing Carnie Wilson's talent to Allison's, but the same thing was done to Carnie: dim lighting and shoved to the back of the other two in every video.

  • apparently vince clarke picked andy bell for erasure because he sounded like alison moyet.

  • If these two both got together again doing the new romantics, the youth of today wouldn't know what hit them & Yazoo would be number 1 in a week, today's music sucks the youth of today need to listen to the 80's & forget today's crap.

  • buona giornata amore...

    devo uscire,

    a presto

  • Sorry Vince but Alf was a better musical partner than Andy Bell, this is shit hot even now.

    BTW your keyboards rock.

  • ... najpiękniejsze lata 80-te :))))

  • LadyDoo, It was tough for me to forget her and it took a while, but I made it. I have to admit we did have some good ole times and the music is something I love to listen to cause it just puts me in this trance and it nice:)

  • that is one fucked up hairturd vince has!.

  • A great song!!!!!

    :))

  • Oblivious! this music wave should of never ended. Pop Rock 80s Brit New Wave!

  • alison moyet and vince clark because of there contribution to music industry should be in the music hall of fame.

  • Bellissima..

  • DIAMOND.........I remember my first girl as well. She had the perfect new wave/80s chick look. Blonde, blue eyes, cute and had that short hair on the sides and long on top if you know what I mean. The 80s were great times and I will never forget the times and the songs that came out with it.

  • @jakclutch I had my first "serious" boyfriend in 1984 (we where both in the mature age of 14 ;.-)) and he "learned" me to listen to all this good music. Depeche Mode became my favorites, but I loved it all. And him *sigh*. But he broke up with me and I felt heartbroken for a while and said to every one that I never would fall in love again. Yeah, sure I kept that promise!

  • When this song was in the charts I was with my first serious girlfriend, 1983 I think. What memories. But we just drifted apart and shit, how Ive regreted it ever since. What a mug I was. If only............................................

  • @DIAMONDGEEZER64 dont beat yourself up too bad im sure it was all for the best, after all think of all the people you would never have met had you have stayed with her since 1983.

  • My sister is a ringer for Alison Moyet facially but if whenever we tell her that she gets the hump thinking we mean shes a fat bitch!!! - Not that Alison is a bloater these days....

  • super band brings back the good old days ...and the ,old girlfreinds ...lol

  • Anyone who loves the brilliant pop songs of Yazoo might want to check out La Roux - another duo of pop masters

  • God, I love Alison's voice... <3

  • THE 80S RULE AND ALWAYS WILL..GOOD WHAT TIME WE HAD............

  • Oh my god bring me back !!!

  • pure quality, never sounds dated.

  • Amaaaazing.

  • Those were the days...

  • gg o nob ola sti fora !

  • @kos230682

And that is supposed to be WHICH language?

  • I didnt know the relationship among Depeche Mode, Yazoo and Erasure! I love 80s, always did and always will!!!

  • @jpmcarmo : yeah total vince clarke. And that's partly why anything post vince that depeche did I sort of cringe at.... but they had some decent stuff after vince.

  • @freezazoid like Enjoy the Silence, It's no good and Strangelove. Don't know if Just can't get enough is pre or post Vince.

  • @jpmcarmo : just can't get enough was vince all the way. I think he wrote it. Definitely poppier and more new wave sounding than stuff after that.

  • 80s music... the best ever... too bad they don't make stuff like these anymore...

  • @scherrycatherine

you might like: MGMT, Muse, Metric, The Bravery, TV on the Radio

  • god love this song

  • what a contribution vince clarke made to the 80s.

depeche mode -- yazoo -- the assembly -- erasure.

    all greats!!!

  • can u post more of this album like mr blue and especially walk away from love

  • Brilliant - still and always...

  • this is an awesome video

  • Should never have split up.....outstanding group in their day.......

  • the best Yaz song...i like it better than Don't Go and Situation. Best synth riff ever!

  • i think the 1980s was the best period of time for music....

  • @Ni9kye I must agree with you 100% :)

  • Vincent is a genius - see Erasure for example.

  • @Ni9kye Yes. Its THE Era for music. Good music & fond memories. Somehow life for simpler then. Sad that its gone....

  • @Ni9kye Music maybe, but not for hairdos...

  • @offrench the hairdo's were all part of it , everyone went for hairspray in a large way :) gravity defying, it was great until it rained LMAO

  • @Ni9kye So true my friend..Happy New Year...

  • @Ni9kye Of course

  • This was, and up until the present time will be one of my favorite songs, even though its from the 80's. When i heard this song over the radio station/s, it stuck with me, and i love the melodies. For me, i find it awesome...

  • Hammer Lied =)

  • what a voice..... seductiv

  • It's only when you fall in love that you can really appreciate the words in songs like this.

  • eh erasure is better

  • Called Yaz in US and I love this song and band!

    Thanks!

  • love it!!!!!!!

  • 80s music is just cool

  • i fancey her ! ! !

  • Vince Clarke is a legend. I agree, the early 80s was so original. Fresh electro sounds, new wave. If this track was produced today it couldn't hold the same originality as back then. The early 80s, good times for fresh new music.

  • * * * * *

  • good old days...:)

  • I love this song it one my favourites!!!!!!

  • Vince Clarke invented a new kind of music, first with Depèche Mode and then with Yazoo, after 2 albums Yazoo stopped, but DM kept it going, Erasure found another different kind of pop, but looking back... no one have ever been able to make the same kind of music as DM or Yazoo... think that is why they have been in a league of their own all the time :))

  • @MultiMonkey68 yeah depeche mode kept going but Vince Clarke got kicked out after their first album 'speak and spell'. yaz in our hearts forever!

  • @motelirrelevant

He wasn't kicked out, he left. He even offered them "Only you" but they turned him down. So he went and released it with Yazoo

  • GEILES LIED

  • Remember the good old days.....damned i was 16.

    Great song!!!!!!!

  • The perfect duo. :D

  • Almost 30 years on and still a cracking number. Great counter melody, had to get the original vinyl out of the attic and play it - miles better than on CD

  • brilliant now as it was when first herd it in the 80s

  • What a fantastic band!!!!!!

  • mint song

  • I was a teen at the time when this came out.. I listened to it with my "walkman" cassette player and I felt like the coolest boy in town !

  • lol,when i discovered this record on cassette,i think i was barely 10 or so^^

  • I was born in 1981 and love the music of this time. I was a baby but I guess my ears were open lol

  • anover pic in your diahorrea, had to say it.

  • learn how to spell!!!

  • Vince Clark è un genio e Alison Moyet una voce meravigliosa , GRANDI !!!

  • I loved it then (i was 17) but love it even more now.

    Great song and fantastic band.

  • This video is just great! The song is even better of course : D

  • da kommen alte Zeiten wieder hoch...wirklich genial

  • Oh, yeah....gotta love Yaz....best song IMHO

  • For ever ´80!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Esos años fueron únicos y nunca más volverán. Pero queda esa música que el tiempo no podrá borrar de nuestra juventud

  • Vince Clarke is a genius anyway - but

damned, what a voice ALison Mojet haves.

This song still is as good as it ever was!

  • All those people who dismiss the music of the 80's obviously NEVER heard this.

  • @SH1974 yes agree with you , still sounds fresh today, music today is just total shit ,

  • @SH1974 i agree

  • @mrconradhoppe

Lol!! Me too!! Back in the 80s a friend of mine and I had a huge fight about this, and of course he won. It blew me away that the singer is female (at first). I thought it was a voice like Fergal Sharkey's: very ambiguous. But it's a great song, and I love Moyet.

  • ... p e r f e c t . . .

  • Wonderful song......bring back the 80's !

  • ... So great !

    I have the vinil (45 & Maxi) ...

    Memories

  • Great Music

  • GRANDE VINCE CLARKE

  • man kann sagen was man will, aber die 80er sind immer noch die Besten gewesen

  • OMG!

  • Brings back more memories than I can even talk about here.

  • Yes, in many way I can echo that thought and those feelings.

If I wait for just a second more,

I know I'll forget what I came here for,

My head was so full of things to say,

But as I opened my lips all my words slipped away,

    Anyway,

  • @ bava67

    Amen!

  • Depeche Mode...Yazoo...Erasure - Vince Clarke genius. What a great voice Alison Moyet has2!!

  • Are we taking the piss out of Dave and Annie at the beginning - Vince with the Lennon glasses and Ali with red hair ... I could be wrong - just a thought!

    Still amazing

  • Brilliant tune :-)

  • Love this song! Gone straight to my favs! x

  • remind me on my childhood back to good old 80's

  • vince clark keyboard genius and he wrote this song which is very tender for a guy

  • being gay does not give you exclusivity on having feelings, i think you need to understand that someone's sexual preferences are not something that should EVER matter

  • He is straight and married, moron!

  • Alison moyet rocks !!

  • childhood :)

  • My mom was playing this suff when i was 5ish, loved it ever since.

  • So how old are you right now? I heard it way back in 1986.

  • love the 80's electro stuff especially Yazoo - their songs were fab

  • First year at Uni...this voice, this song still gets me right where it matters. Thanks for posting+++

  • vince clarke i love you, you are a legend

  • idc when this song originated! i love it =]

  • Bloody Awesome Song. My kids listen to so much hip hop. Wish they would give the 80's music a chance. The music was never better than back in the 80's.

  • This song came out 1983 yeah?
