The only band that ever cover this right was After Forever. It's a rock ballad and the whole point of the song is that it is based around the fact that Conner MacLeod is watching is first love die while he is not. I wonder how many people who pick to sing the song even know it's in the Highlander movie and that the song was written for the movie.

I think she screamed in this performance but I really like her voice.... I just think this song didn't fit her well.

@pianistica your correct, in parts she was damn near perfect other parts she forced it. thats why I said it was almost pure brilliance.. if she would have taken a few bits slower and stretched some of the notes a bit this would have been close to her best which was Somewhere Over the Rainbow, but this stacks in her top 5 best performances along with Until You Come Back to Me, Think, and Black Horse, Cherry Tree

Carrie couldn't match one ounce of Katharine's emotional intensity in this song. She sure has heck couldn't have handled the subtlety and nuance of the lower register parts. But I'm sure her mechanical glory notes would win some people over.

Kelly would do a great job though, but she too, does not have better lower register than Katharine.
