  • absolutely TERRIBLE tutorial

  • Thaks so much. I just got paintshop pro and I don't know much about it.

  • Everything works great except when I 'Control L' the texture shows up on my pic as a very small tidbid of a layer on top of my pic... therefore, it doesn't cover the entire pic as a texture, only a very small portion...

I'm actually using PSP XI, is that the problem?

I'm really interested in finding out what's wrong because your video is the only one I've found the explains textures where the color in the texture actually shows up on my pic...

I really hope that makes sense

    mckalex33@att.net

  • thanks a lot :)

  • how do you do it an overlay? i dont understand... =(

  • YES! I've been searching on how to do this! Thank you so much, fantastic!!

  • omfg, thank you soo much. i have a site on myspace & i use this & i couldnt figure out how to use textures. thanks :D

  • I did all this and it looks like wood over a picture over a checker board ....Any help anyone. Oh I use canon software to take it off my camera, Then post it on paintshop.

  • hmm... im not sure about the checkerboard - but it sounds like your overlay thing is a bit too opaque - try reducing its opacity :)

  • wow! now it looks like a painting. thats cool =]

  • how do i make the layers bar.. where does it appear... I want to make my friends neck blue but her face a diff color.. how?

  • Ok, I have been following every tutorial I can find perfectly, and my textures aren't small or anything when I open them, but when I paste them as a new layer they show up tiny in the middle of my picture. It is getting frustrating.

  • you can change the transparency by changing the opacity, =D

  • Is the paint shop pro x2 ultimate better

    then photoshop

  • honestly, photoshop is better. paintshop is just hell lot easier than photoshop and it has less features than photoshop.

  • How Much Does It Cost?

  • is adobe photoshop elements 7 better

then paint shop pro x2 ultimate

  • maybe. i'm not so sure since i haven't used Elements yet, sorry.

  • how do you add those effects like from photo shop not from coral but from adobe

  • Hi! Can you make a tutorial of how to put a photo in a circle? Like if you have a photo, and a background, and then you make a circle on the bg. And the photo is only visible in the circle... It was harder to explain then i thought :S Anyway, i'ved tryed this a couple of times, but it doesn't come out well! Please help me :)

PS; This video was goooooood :DDDD

  • no it's not

  • is Paint Shop Pro free to download like gimp ?

  • I downloaded a 30 day trial

  • Well I paid around 60 for mine but you can download trails..Hope this helped :)

  • thanks so much! this helped a lot xx

  • oh good...I'm pretty sure I'm going to get PSP X2, I just want to make sure I can make graphics like avatars, signatures, and wallpapers....

  • can you do this with PSP X2 too?

  • yes (:

  • that is pretty good, i think.

tho i didnt understand much lol i'm sorry.

    but thank you!!

  • Nice tutorial on using textures. Keep up the good work.

  • Thanks for putting this tutorial up. :)

  • This is AWESOME!!! I have downloaded a ton of textures now, and this is way better than using the texture tool cause I can erase the people. Thank you!!! Please do more!

  • I don't have a wood texture, is it hiding?

  • Never mind, found it!

  • didnt understand a word of that !

  • thanks alot ,it does help me!

and you sound very friendly !

  • well, actully I find photoshop easier than paint shop pro, but I'm not very smart though and cant find all the tools in PSP!

But I would recommend PS CS3!

  • nphaskins, i am going to get a digital art program/tablet and pen,...

In your honest opinion which is better?

    Paint shop pro or photoshop.

    im thinking photoshop??? plz reply!!

  • If your a pro photographer that shoots A LOT, and you constantly are opening Photoshop for whatever reason, then PS is better.

    BUT

For the majority of the public, PSP is easier to use, and will do 95% of what Photoshop does.

  • ok thanks mate,

ill probably go for psp then as i want a program i can sketch with.

  • :D thank you

now i suck a little less

  • I want to make signatures for a forum im pretty new at the stuff does paint shop pro have all the tools for it? Any help would be really greatful, thanks.

  • I'm 14 and me and my mate really want to start taking photos. We need editing software and my first thought was photoshop, but its so expensive. I don't have that money. Any advice on what I should get, and would it work if I just kept on downloading free trials of photoshop?

  • watch this vid to get it free

    watch?v=FJngqaWn994

  • sorry me then i was in a bad mood.. i wanted to show that i thought photoshop was better. i'm sorry...

  • this program is sucking... photoshop has a lot more features. ppl saying psp is better

is so stupid they don't know how to use photoshop!!!

  • Thanks so much for your opinion, and I sincerely appreciate the time you took to make this comment. Happy Holidays!

  • tőcsd le ne vedd meg te hülye

  • How much does this program generally cost?

  • about 75 dollars

  • Great job! I acually didn't know that you could change to opacity of a layer, lol!

  • Hey good job! IM in a forum and Ive been trying to make a nice signature, but I cant figure it out, if you feel like it maybe you could make a lil video on how to make a siggie. IF you do you should get a hold of me somehow.. So I can watch it

  • can you do a turtorial for cut and pasting a layer of a face on an animal or object whereby the edges are blended in and it looks realistic? I really need to figure out how to do it. I also want to know how to use the cloning tool

  • hey there

pelase, do u know something about tool that pushes pixels just like showed in photoshop tutorials? i keep looking, but i couldnt find til now!

    txxx

  • In Paint Shop Pro it's called the warp brush/tool. It's in the next to the last cubby on the tool palette.

  • i have paint shop pro. i haven't tried photoshop and i don't want to, i have everything i need in paint shop pro

  • Hi, this helped me a lot just not long got PSP xi, wonder if you can help with something else :-) I have a picture with a black background and a buckle the main part of the picture i want to just have the buckle no black background but cant seem to make the back ground transapent it is so i can download on to Secondlife game. but everything i have tried in PSP when i download i then get white around the buckle and not just the buckle Can you help :-)

  • Try using the background eraser (located on the tool palette) to remove the black background.

The only adjustment you should have to make is the size of the brush the default settings should do fine with that removal.

  • Thanks for the PSP XII tutorial. It is much needed as most PSP tutorials are for earlier versions -- and are extremely basic. I have both PSP XI & PS Elements5, which is a fantastic program, except it is missing important functions such as curves & channels (plus other features). Please provide tutorials on those particular PSP capabilities not found in PS Elements, Fortunately, the 2 programs are pretty compatible --- PSP even saves in PSD format.

Please keep up your good efforts.

  • It does 1000000000% and beyond than photoshop, i have both ;)

  • Is corel the same as Jasc?

  • Corel have bought Jasc

  • Okay thanks.

  • Excellent video!
