it will still work without it but it will bend the sides of the case. my suggestion is just cut out a piece of cardboard from a box or something and put it in there. should work the same. i would not suggest doing it without some kind of support inside because it will cause the case to collapse on itself.
I have a Cherry Rebel and the first one I got, the spine part broke like yours did also. I just put it on anyway and it stayed together really well. I only got a new one when I wore a hole in the soft colored plastic part.
Thanks for responding to my comment , im going to try this , i also heard you could throw it in hot water to fix it but never tried it , also i have no blow dryer lol =[ never thought i would need one haha , might have to visit a friends house, thanks bro
Great little tip if I ever have the desire first to order this case and second if I actually use it and get the saggy bottom.
A little advice on the video... A tripod will help you out immensly! Also for the audio, you could do a little post production and boost it before upload. Windows Movie Maker or iMovie can help you with this.
Good Video. I saw this hack a while ago. I'll try it once my bottom sags. Few comments: You said fridge in your video and wrote freezer in your description. I know to put it in the freezer, but you should just watch out for that next time when making a video to be consistent. It would have been cool to see you use a hairdryer and then put the case in a freezer because it would have been a more enjoyable vid, but nonetheless the content is very useful and the camera quality was very good. GoodJob
thanks for the advice. appreciate it. i thought about goin thru the steps visually but i thought it would be too much camera movement since i didn't have a tripod at the time. thought it'd be easier to do this instead. i appreciate the thoughts tho :D
Did the blowdryer/freezer tip work? One question though, Does the sag ever come back? I mean, is it like a permenant fix or do you have to do it every once in a while? thanks
Hi yes it does work! Don't forget the elastic band. Up till now the saggy bottom has not returned and I don't think it will anytime soon. But I don;t know for sure.
ha yea me too. i think it was from taking the case off too much. the case lasted over 5 months of intense use so i think it held up fairly well. i got a new one the skeleton. really tight fit though for some reason.
I did this about 5 weeks ago without the freeZer part and it worked. but, just recently it has started to sag again so u might have to do it again every couple of months; on another note, the volume was very soft when I viewed this movie on my iPhone today
thanks for the comment. the camera i used to record is the flip ultra so i gotta deal with the built in mic to record. sorry if its muffled a little. yea i actually did it twice in the span of six months so it lasts a pretty good time. i did it on my new one and its held up fairly well for a grand total of 5 days haha

great tip to cure a saggy bottom - i thought it was going to be about sticking the black bit back together - so sorry to see its still in pieces
