@ishtochituklo I think I was there too. White Witch , and Bugs Henderson also played that night, if I'm not mistaken. Trapeze was the better band that night.
Thanksgiving 73 with Uriah Heep who played first ,half the crowd left they came on said they didn't know if they could follow such an act .They started to play as they say , the rest is history .
Had this on vinyl and copied to casette and played it in my panel truck on the way to class as my wake up tune back in '71...Thanks for sparkin' my memory!!!
I used to cover this one with my band "Jet" in the Ozarks back in the early 80's...a real classic blues/rock track.....alot of fun to belt out these vocals for sure
One of the most memorable nights of my life was seeing this trio at Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach, FL back in the early 70's. I saw them there 2 times but the first concert was just such a massive experience! God bless Trapeze. R.I.P. Mel.
i got to see these guys at the buckhead roxy in atlanta, ga (my home town) a few years back maybe 10 or so! one of the best shows i've ever seen and i'm an old fart rocker from way back! got all of their old stuff on vinyl and they sounded better then than they did way back when! fuckin awesome show! what happened to this country and their taste in music! we all get a little older but WTF! rock and roll will never DIIEEEE!!!!!!
A great Band.....many of midnight rides with my boys...cold duck iced with the Wiedeman...left handed cigs passing to and fro...Charger flying high.....back roads..hot chicks..keggers...and the lake..oh the fuckin lake...good times!
Here they were clearly influenced by Humble Pie and the "fire and water" album by Free...
i like the previous album... but warning it's not for everyone... their very first album was with a 5 men's line-up and released just a few months before this one...it is much less heavy and 70s hard rock oriented...
The Medusa album still stands the test of time. Just plain old good straightforward hard rock. Check out Glenn Hughes latest collaboration with Jason Bonham and Joe Bonamassa- its called Black Country Communion
thanks for sharing these trapeze tracks with us and im glad to see they are not totally forgotten a great band and if you like this track please please listen to coast to coast by them its a classic, i must go and get a copy of this album, yes young people an album made of real plastic with grooves and a cardboard cover.
@UnknownCrypt sorry unknown crypt i was not saying anybody was clusess, it was you who used that word, i was just pointing out to the younger generation that music has not always been on cd and downloads ect and that it was once on plastic with nice covers that you could sit and read while listening to the music.
young people are still buying records. But not many, that's true..
Before youtube a record was more personal though, it was you , the record and your imagination..and if you ig the record a lot, you couldnt wait to tell somebody about the greatness of the record..in person..not via comments.. i miss the pre internet days.

This might have come out months after Get Yer Ya Ya's Out album, it sounds a little like those versions of sympathy for the devil, & stray cat blues. Thank you for posting, it's really beautiful.
The LP Medusa was a favorite of my crowd the school year of 74/75. We loved the entire LP and it helped us, along with many other great LP's, to while away the misty Georgia days. Wow. 35 years. Can't believe it. Great song.

I had the pleasure of seeing these guys live in concert 2x....one word: INCREDIBLE.
Bass guitar played like a lead.
How they considered themselves a starter band for the members to move to something big was a mystery to me.
THEY WERE THAT SOMETHING ELSE.
